Ben designed a small and lovely pool for the backyard of my (old) house in the Tower District. He had to work around gas lines, water lines, hard pan, etc. He helped me achieve some ideas I had for custom concrete work/decking. Installation was on time, like clockwork. I am extremely happy with the quality of work done by everyone involved in the project. Excellent communication. Very helpful. I couldn't be more pleased.

This is a detailed timeline of our experience with Vineyard written in response to their e-mails: We went to the home show right at 11:00 on 7/19. We were circling the vacant Vineyard booth waiting for someone because we were eager to get moving on our pool. When someone was there after close to an hour, we scheduled the next available appointment on 7/26. You were delayed, which caused our appointment with you to merge with our time with our landscaper. At the end of that meeting, you were to be in touch at the beginning of the next week so that we could set a time to come in for the proposal. Instead, you called a week later. I missed your call and immediately called back to get your full voice mail, and I was unable to leave a message. We connected later and made an appointment to come in one week later on 8/9. When we arrived, the plan was not ready. There was the beginning of a design, but we sat with you for about 2 hours giving feedback and providing input into the plan. I missed a 4pm appointment because it was so lengthy. You said you would have a price for us in a few days. The next Wednesday, 8/14, I texted you asking for the estimate - no response. You texted back the next day asking for an e-mail address, which I provided 25 minutes later. The next day after that, you e-mailed the estimate in the evening. It should not take close to a month from first contact to get an estimate (7/19-8/15). After Vineyard did not get the job, the guy looked over our fence as he was building a pool in the backyard behind us. He thought the design looked like his and he was upset about it. He sent multiple unprofessional, offensive and harassing emails about the situation. I wish we had never gotten a bid from them, because it was a horrible experience. Here is their final response after he realized that he was incorrect about what had happened: I know you do not want to have any further correspondence so I will make sure this is my last response. I thank you for giving me your perspective and it helps me understand where you are coming from. I tried to explain in my last email where I was coming from and why I drew my conclusions, even if they weren’t true. I had been extra sensitive because I just had someone copy a design that I came up with, so I felt vulnerable giving out my design, which probably made me a more defensive than normal. I had a different story line of what was actually happening in my head than what was actually going on. I didn’t have the facts straight and responded rashly and according to what I was thinking had happened. I thought I was taking a stand for myself when I thought I was being taken advantage of, but I was mistaken and responded based on emotion. I jumped to conclusions that were not true and now that I understand what happened and I am embarrassed for my actions. I see in your response where I fell short and where I need to improve. It is a hard email for me to swallow, but thank you for taking the time to write it. I see where I have not met my own standards and what needs to change. I hope you understand that I am human and I make mistakes. I passionate about what we do and my work but sometimes it can come out in the wrong ways. I do want to take this opportunity to apologize for how I have offended you and your husband and all the aggravation that I caused and I hope that you can forgive me. I appreciate the opportunity you gave me to earn your business and have come away with this with some hard lessons. Best of luck with you pool, Bob is a great builder and I am glad to see you working with him. I know he will build you a great pool and take good care of you.
Description of Work: We completed the bidding process with Vineyard followed by multiple unprofessional e-mails from them. Obviously, we didn't hire them.
