The first three days after we signed the contract went great. The crew was there, working hard and got the concrete pads for the courtyard in and irrigation moved. Then came a few days where no one showed up and the owner couldn't tell me what was going on. Eventually a sub contractor showed up to start work on pouring footings for the block wall and from the start things started being done wrong. The workmanship was shoddy, the 2 guys working were unclear on where walls did and did not go (they had no copy of the landscape plan provided by Sherwood). They would work for 2 days at a time and then disappear for 10. They tried to stucco over their broken concrete edges and put the stucco on with a hopper. It is already peeling off and every mortar line from the block is visible through the stucco. I was originally told the entire project would be done within 3 weeks. 9 weeks later we weren't even halfway. The owner, who had promised to 'oversee' the whole project was never around and when I would call to ask where the guys were and when things would be fixed and done correctly I was invariably told "I'll call them and find out what is going on and get back to you". Then I wouldn't hear a thing. Eventually I lost patience and negotiated to break the contract so that I can now have someone else come in and tear down the bad work to re-do it correctly. It was a very expensive lesson, at best. The block wall workmanship was so sloppy that we are contemplating pulling it down completely and starting over at the beginning. Terrible experience.

THEY DID A GOOD JOB, BUT THEY TOOK LONGER THAN WAS EXPECTED. THEY WERE VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT THE DIFFERENT PLANTS, AND HAD SOME VERY GOOD IDEAS FOR MY YARD.
Description of Work: WE HAD OUR FRONT AND BACK YARDS LANDSCAPED. THEY ADDED A HILL WITH SOME D COR AND WILD FLOWERS IN THE FRONT. THEN WE HAD THEM ADD A POND WITH A BEAUTIFUL ROCK WATERFALL GOING INTO THE POND IN THE BACK YARD.
