+ -1 moreI was very disappointed in. He did come out and quote us and what not. He was low bid on everything but no response. When I called him and wanted to talk to him, you know, I consider hiring him based on the price and he never called back. There was a question about his workers. My question to him was, “will you be present if I choose you and the work is to be done, and will you be on the premises to kind of follow it through.” I never heard another word. Unfortunately, he just lost business. If you can't get a hold of him before the job's done, what is he going to be like when the job is being done and if there was a problem, is he going to call back? He didn't follow through.

+ 1 moreI had already received a few quotes for the work, and contacted my neighbor to share in some of the fencing costs. The realtor/ neighbor suggested Mike Granat, as she works with him often in her career. Mike came to the house for an estimate and was great. He explained in detail the fencing process, including the post replacement, differences between cedar and redwood, and even the type of screws, rather than nails, to replace the fence. Mike was also very helpful in reference to the exterior paint color and trim. After completing the paint job, Mike handed me a roll of tape and a marker and suggested I go around the house and mark any places that were missed, in which he later touched up. Overall, Mike's whole crew was very professional. He was very prideful of his work and it showed with detailed, quality work. I would recommend Mike to take care of all your general contracting needs, as well as major projects throughout your home.
Description of Work: 1) Exterior Paint: Mike Granat and crew painted my 1600 sqft home with Benjamin & Moore (25 yr warranty) paint. The exterior received a full power wash. The minor cracks in the stucco were patched. A caramel base coat was applied via sprayer and a lighter trim color was applied to the accent stucco facets. Because my house's stucco is so thick, Mike applied caulk to the corners that separated the base color from the trim, for a more linear look between the two colors. The facia was painted last. 2) Perimeter Fence Replacement: Mike replaced my 15 year beat-up, old cedar fence.The old cemented posts were dug up and replaced, along with new redwood bottom boards and pickets and douglas fir rails. 3) Outdoor light installation: I purchased exterior lighting fixtures from James and Co. Lighting (Fresno) and asked Mike to install them. Three lights were replaced around the garage, using existing wiring. Mike also replaced a can light with a 5 ft hanging light fixture that required additional repairs for proper installation.
