Mike, the owner, first came out to review the project and give us an estimate. He was very courteous, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. The bid came promptly (the same day) and we accepted it. Mike worked around our schedule, as we were having new floors and baseboards installed by others, as well. Mike's crew arrived promptly, as per our agreed upon schedule, and were a pleasure to work with. Richard, Joey, Mike and Abel were very professional, friendly, and went beyond our expectations to make us happy. They did a great job of preparation - masking off and using drop cloths, and cleaning up the job site each day. After the job was complete and paid for, we found some things that needed "touch-up". Mike was very responsive and sent Joey out to take care of any issues we had. The painting looks great - like a new home now. I highly recommend Michael Angelo painting for any of your painting needs.

Juan, Dominic and Joe all showed a strong work ethic. They were all very professional. Their professionalism showed in their desire to please us and we felt they even went the ‘extra mile’ to make sure their painting was done perfectly. We are very pleased with the results.

We had our kitchen cabinets and all our interior walls painted. John and Cody did a great job and Mike, the owner was courteous and informative about the process. Their prices are very reasonable and we are very pleased with their work. They will be doing a couple more projects for us in the future.

Excellent! The entire crew was responsive and wonderful to work with. They know their business and did as many color samples as needed to get the right one including offering their expert opinions and giving options for finishes when asked. They were always on time, cleaned up after every day of working, respectful to the other sub-contractors on the job and of course to their clients.

Michael and his team painted the interior of my house. Not only did they do a great job painting the house but the also did a great job cleaning at the end of the day and upon completion of the entire paint job. They were great. We have an old house that presented many expected and unexpected problems, and hadn’t been painted for many years. The old paint was lead based, so the preparation required a lot of extra work and care. Mike explained the process and they did the preparation safely and efficiently. He kept us informed and answered texts and questions quickly throughout the project, and the whole team was very professional and nice to work with. The house looks beautiful. We’re very happy that we found Michael Angelo.

We didn't hire Michael Angelo Custom Painting directly. He was the paint and stains sub of the shady Contractor that we hired to remodel our house. Mike's crew was in charge of painting the interior and exterior of our house and staining our new kitchen cabinets. We had several issues with Mike and his crew and we're extremely disappointed with his unprofessionalism, lack of ethics, and poor workmanship. Mike and his painters acted like Chatty Cathys during the course of our remodel, many times offering unsolicited opinions regarding the paint color selections. Mike was not proactive and his negative attitude caused my husband and I a great deal of stress and anxiety. His crew left the job several times without locking up the house and even misplaced the keys once. Prior to painting the exterior, Mike failed to inform us about Sherwin William's ColorSnap Visualizer app, an app that allows you to preview the color prior to paint. My husband initially didn't like the color that I chose and we considered paying Mike to repaint the house (bet Mike was thinking cha ching $$$). My Daughter, suggested that we paint the stucco pop outs in white to break up the paint color and add contrast (which really saved our paint job and our money). When my Daughter texted Mike to get his thoughts, Mike replied "I don't think that will make a difference. Its not going to change the body color." This Debbie Downer sure knows how to rain on our parade. Mike took it upon himself to get involved in the dispute between the Contractor and my Daughter. Several times, Mike would say he didn't want to get involved, he just wants to do his job. Mike also said that he was going to do a good job no matter what. It turns out that not only does Mike like to gossip, he is also a dishonest person. Several weeks before Mike's crew was scheduled to complete their job, we reached out to him to request a walk through of his work. Mike responded "our walkthrough should be after every trade is done. We will do any touch ups then." In a later text, Mike replied "I want to wait on the inside until carpet is installed cause those guys usually scratch the baseboards and walls. We are probably going to have to touch up bathrooms and kitchen after tile as well." As of 11/15, the project was abandoned by the Contractor and his subs, including Michael Angelo Custom Painting. My daughter sent Mike several text messages requesting Mike to return to the job to complete/ correct his defective/ unfinished/ shoddy work and to give him an opportunity to make good on his word. To date, Mike has not completed a walk through and all text messages have gone unanswered. We received the unconditional waiver of release from Michael Angelo Custom Painting, which means he was paid in full for subpar work.

Mike and his crew are the real deal. As a general contractor I will not use anybody else for my work, as I don’t trust anybody but Mike to handle my valuable customers. He is meticulous, detailed, professional and the work is above and beyond. Hire Mike and you will not be disappointed.

Michael the owner was on time but his employee (the painter) was not both days. This was an issue for me as he was expected at 7 am. I was up very early to be ready and both days he was tardy by a half hour to 45 minutes! Other then a color mix up with the ceiling in one room the job was very well done.

I must say without a doubt these guys met every expectation my wife and I had for beautifying the exterior of our home, our dream became their dream . They say you get what you pay for....we got even more, great professionalism, great work ethic, quality workmanship and the staff's pride in their work was very apparent.....Michael Angelo Custom Painting will definitely get our future business ......

This was an Angie's List "$199 Painter for a Day (8 hours)" special offer. Michael Angelo Custom Painting responded immediately by email; telephone calls to arrange service were all handled in a very courteous, friendly, and professional manner. Mike Mele, the owner, drove from Clovis to Reedley one morning to see the work to be done, estimate the time required, and appoint a day the following week to perform the work. We made sure the areas and surfaces to be painted were clean and supplied the paint. Mr. Mele arrived at the appointed time, scraped and sanded a few small areas, applied primer that he supplied, and sprayed and brushed the finish coats. He worked very efficiently, carefully, and neatly. There was no damage to any property or landscaping, and no paint ended up where it wasn't supposed to be. Mr. Mele over-estimated the time required for the job and completed the contracted work so efficiently that he also had time to paint the garage door, which wasn't part of the initial agreement. He still finished in about five of the eight hours we paid for. All the completed jobs looked great, and we were quite impressed by the care Mr. Mele took with his work. We will definitely hire Michael Angelo Custom Painting again for any exterior or interior painting jobs. If you have any small paint jobs, Angie's List's "Painter for a Day" special is a good way to try out a painter and see his or her work without risking a major job and major expense.
