He talked to the owners about the situation and they talked to me. They offered to replace the door and bear that cost and I would pick up the $350 installation cost. I felt that was more than fair, as I had been using the door for so long. They ordered a new door and installed it 2-3 weeks later. During the install, the service guy noticed the stucco under the door had been wet and completely deterioated and had to be replaced. It was a small area and had happened most likely because the old door frame was cracked and allowing moisture to leak in. CZ had a stucco contractor out the next day and did a great job of repairing the stucco, including doing a good job of matching the exterior paint color. The stucco was repaired by E. (Eddie) Medina Plastering in Clovis or Fresno). I'm super happy with the new glass patio door; I believe it's a better quality door than the original! And what's really cool is, CZ did all this without any need to negotiate or be pushy or even complain. Their first and only goal was to make me whole and happy with the job. Every contact/conversation was a pleasant one. They did the work exactly as promised and when promised. I can't say enough good things about them and they have certainly made a customer for life. If you need windows or doors, this is absolutely the family owned, local company you want to work with.

I was pleased with the profession work they did. The workers showed up on time each day and worked steadily throughout the day. At the end of each day all work areas were cleaned up and they explained when they would be back. I have an alarm system and was not sure how it work after replacing the windows, JZ provided me with a name a phone number of a local contractor who could upgrade alarm. So not only did I get great service I also got a great new alarm company in the process. JZ coordinated the work with the alarm company and it was effortless for me. When the window instillation was completed all were inspected and touched up so when the contractors finished they did not have to come back for follow up repairs. My favorite part of the job is how great the products are, I had a decrease in my utility bill immediately. I have had the windows going on 3 years and they have paid for themselves in savings. I especially like the fact that I was dealing with a local company instead of the big box cookie cutters.

After estimate was e mailed to me , I was overwhelmed by the high price and could not even respond as '' is this a mistake ?" After a short time I realized they we not going to give me a follow up call to see if I got the estimate or what I thought of it. It was my assumption that they were not that interested in giving a competitive bid.

They showed up on time and got right to work. Windows and sliding glass door look fantastic. They did a very good job removing and installing the new windows. I'd have given them full marks, but they didn't police the debris they made when cutting the windows out. There was also a couple of items in the flowerbed that were stepped on with nothing said. Nothing major, a solar garden light and a wire-frame trellis, but not something you want to come across after the fact. We also expected a phone call at least to ensure our satisfaction, but that has not, so fat, happened. Overall, we're pleased, but just not 100%.

ZJ Construction delivers on what was promised, excellent workmanship, and standing behind their products. Joe has gone the extra mile for us on numerous occasions. I personally wish their were more contractors that I know of that I can say the same about. We appreciate and highly recommend this company for your window replacement and siding needs.

JZ completed the job in the time that it was scheduled. We were extremely impressed with the quaility of our windows and doors, as well as the installation. Each member of their work crew was a craftsman, taking the time to attend to detail and every window and door was installed perfectly. In addition, they were very conscientious in cleaning up, checking their work, making sure we were happy with their work, and above all, were extremely considerate during the whole installation. In addition, I received a call from the office asking if they could come out and fix a door that the person in charge of the crew felt was not done to his satisfaction. We were amazed that someone would offer to spend the extra time to fix the door on their own. We had not even noticed the very small detail in question, and it sure was a pleasant surprise that they were coming out to correct it. The bottom line is that JZ Construction is a company to be trusted due to their conscientious and professional work ethics. Lastly, it was a pleasure to work with the owners who stayed in contact to make sure we were pleased with our windows and doors. They were genuinely concerned that we were satisfied with everything. We recommended them highly due to the excellent quality of their products, craftsmanship, and professionalism.

I got a few quotes from various companies initially but for one reason or another they just didn't seem right. Then I found JZ Construction and as soon as I started talking with Teri I knew to go with them. Teri was very helpful from the beginning with absolutely no sales pressure. She was very professional and gave me the necessary information to make the decision to go with JZ. As the process got underway, Heidi kept me informed of my order and was very accommodating as to the install schedule. I really appreciate the dedication of all who work at JZ. The work crew was fantastic, the work was done very professionally and the work area was left very clean. I am very happy with the result and would highly recommend JZ construction.

JZ came highly recommended by members of my family, and I couldn't be happier with the finished product. Even after the recommendation, I still interviewed four other companies and JZ won my business. Joe and Teri went above and beyond--they were more helpful than I expected. Teri was wonderful in helping me with my decisions and generated more estimates than I care to remember. Their installation team was neat, clean, and completely professional.

These guys came with a great reputation and for good reason. They were very courteous and professional, and lived up to their reputation. I'm very glad I worked with them.

JZ did a wonderful job from start to finish. Joe and his wife Teri are wonderful to work with, professional, timely, and work with you every step of the way and that is what you want. Their crew was on time, professional, and organized. I replaced 21 different windows in my house and they All turned out great. The windows look great, energy efficient. They earned the A rating.

Job started on time. Staff was very professional and courteous. The replacement of windows went very smooth. Hedi, Teri and Joe, are the most awesome people to deal with, they treat you like family. We are so happy with the out come.

I've got to tell you, these folks are a class act; from the owners, to the office management, to the measurers, to the installers. I was hesitant about contacting any company for such a big job but knew it was necessary. Before my research I didn't know any of these folks, nor did I, (to my knowledge), know anyone who had done business with JZ Construction. (Prior to my being a member of Angie's List), I researched JZ Construction on line, with the BBB, met & spoke with the owners of JZ directly then checked up on them by speaking with the production manager of the manufacturing company whose product I wanted JZ to install. (I also checked out other companies & manufactures of competing product lines.) Why did I choose JZ Construction? After doing my research, along with the personal care JZ invested in me, I knew there was no one else with whom I would feel so comfortable about doing the job. I was very pleased to work with a local business; rather than some large company or "big box" chain. I feel there is better access and more accountability for a local businessperson/ company. I am not the most trusting person and am careful regarding my personal security and with whom I allow access to my home (to put it mildly). JZ informed me their employees undergo a solid background check (or are bonded; I cannot remember which - it might be both). Anyway, any anxieties that might have lurked in the recesses of my mind vanished when the project manager met me at my house early one morning before I left for work to take final measurements prior to the office ordering my desired windows & doors. (Before any final order is placed 2 different people from JZ come to the house to take measurements.) JZ worked with my schedule and let me know what to expect in the process. They came out to my house to view the existing windows/doors & structure and to let me now which products could likely work best. They gave me brochures of the product, explained the warranties, and let me roam about their showroom looking at examples. The folks at JZ were exceptionally patient (and understanding) of my multitude of questions, e-mails & phone calls and popping into their office/showroom unexpectedly, and, of course, my changing parts of my order because I thought I'd like to try a few things different from my original plans. JZ answered all my questions and never hedged with a response. So, what did JZ install? (2) garden windows (custom-sized), (2) double-hung windows, (4) horizontal slider windows, (2) privacy glass horizontal windows, (1) privacy glass (non opening) slender picture window, (2) sets of gorgeous French doors (which replaced 2 horrid, noisy sliding glass doors), and the piece de resistance is a glorious 500 pound custom bay window with etched border. (That alone took 4 men and a small lift!) As an extra measure, overnight JZ had constructed for me (2) oak corbels to be placed on the exterior of the house under the bay as an added safety/stability precaution - this without my having to ask and at no additional charge to me. They really do think of everything! Teri Z. also dropped by in the middle of the project to check up on things and her crew; she cares about their safety as well. (JZ also had the security system folks, (who had installed security on our property), check out the system to make certain it would function properly with the new windows/doors, (2) sets of retracting screen doors (for the French doors) installed and had a painter come in to finish the ledge & "ceiling" portion of the huge bay window.) By the way, we thought this project might take 5 days & the job was finished in just under three. Owners, employees & staff? Joe & Teri Zingarelli, can't thank you enough! What an absolute pleasure to do business with you and your employees. Heidi Graham - office manager without parallel; so patient with a good sense of humor. The crew are the BEST - Bryan, John, Mike and Juan - talk about a terrific group of men! Courteous (if they ever cursed, and they had plenty of reason to on this project, I never heard a peep of foul language from any of them), skilled, good humored, timely, cleaned up after themselves as they went along. (Have never seen any construction project so clean at the end of each work day!) What these men do is give value; they are a critical aspect of this project. I respect each of them. Regrets? Absolutely none! I recommend JZ Construction to anyone who is thinking about installing windows/doors in one's own home.

Doing business with JZ Construction is a no brainer. You are always dealing with the owners, as the face of the business, Joe comes on site to assess and make suggestions, and then his wife Terry is there at the office in Clovis to further assist you in selections. My first experience was in 1991 with JZ Construction. Dual pane windows were replaced in my personal residence in Clovis. Smooth installation and at the right price. Single pane windows needed replacement on a rental rehab in the Tower District in Fresno. Joe was instructed to deliver a "value" product as it was a rental. Again, spot on. Time line and budget were adhered to. In 2012, t he real fun with JZ Construction began. I asked Joe if he would consider replacing windows, and putting in a French slider on my beach house on the Central Coast. His immediate response was, "When do you want to meet?" We drove over together and at one point, I had to pull over and get under control from him making me laugh so hard. He did his measuring thing, took pictures, and we returned. Terry and I met at the Clovis showroom and she made wonderful suggestions. "Windows are Windows". Not true. It was her idea to blow out the wall in the downstairs bedroom and put in a "French slider". Her idea made a downstairs dungeon room into a beautiful "Garden" view retreat. Her ideas on creating privacy in the bathrooms with "rainwater" glass (I hope that these are the right words) from elevated houses with direct views was the right choice. When I am in my " office", I like privacy and she got it. On this project, I never signed a contract and was given general figures. A key was given to Joe and he was instructed to do his magic. The bill was submitted to me and the check was written. When I went to the Coast to see what was done, I was delighted to see what was performed. They could have charged several thousand more and I still would have been pleased. Several months later, I call Joe and tell him that I have replaced the screen doors to the sunken patio and pool area on several occasions. The JZ solution was "Phantom screens". They were immediately installed, and now I have clear views, no one is walking and bending screens, and I don't have to hear that anyone has had too much that night. I can thank the JZ team for fantastic ideas, incredible performance, and doing business the old fashion way. They do it right, and make you feel like family. I can't say everything went flawless but we are very happy with our new windows.

To do entire house was going to cost $12000 if we paid cash. Credit card would cost us more (probably passing on their credit card fee on to us). Owner and son came out and did a full sales job. Whole house was too costly at the time, so we replaced the most urgent needs. Second visit was to get exact measurements. Third visit was the install. Showed up on time and completed the work in a half day. Would have liked to see them wear booties when in our home. Ladders left marks on interior wall where they worked. Required touch up paint. Installation was top quality. Looks awesome.One window had scratch in glass. We made a note of it before the install crew left and they had it replaced within two weeks. We feel very satisfied with the overall experience. It seems a little expensive, but we went for the highest quality product they offered.

JZ Construction was wonderful to work with. They were really, really great. They were very helpful and extremely efficient. We love the windows. They helped us picking out what we wanted. They just did a great job. We have a very old house, so it's made a huge difference. We had single paned windows with very old glass. They were very nice and very respectful of my home. I have dogs and I usually keep them confined when people are here, but that was kind of difficult when they were all over the house. The dogs were friendly to them and they were very comfortable with my dogs. I would say they're pet friendly. They were very professional and very respectful.

The estimate was given promptly. The contract was easily understood and the work began and ended when stated. I had done half the windows in my home a few years prior to this and used the same company again. Everyone I dealt with was professional and did a terrific job installing the windows with very little disruption to my home. One of the windows was in an awkward spot and I wasn't sure how they were going to get it installed, but it was easily accomplished by the experienced crew. I am very satisfied with the service and the product.

Teri who is one half of the owner at JZ Construction could not possibly be a better person to work with; I recommend her and her company highly. She gives you all of her time, information and pleasant personality. If you have any questions, if she doesn't know the answer, she immediately picks up the phone and knows who to ask. In fact, Teri personally helped me design my dream half-round window with a diamond etched design. When the manufacturer made an error, she was on the phone immediately to get it corrected. Rest assured, she will take care of everything. All of her crew are excellent, clean, respectful of you and your home; you will never know they were there except for the beautiful new windows. You can't go wrong doing business with JZ Construction, they go the extra mile.

Proffessional from day one. Called and met with them the same day. Their office included actual windows in a residential setting to help us decide. Five days later they were at our house. It took them two days to finish. Even today the windows look like they actually came with our house. I'd recommend these guys to anyone who want professional installing their windows
