Description of Work: J & S Pool Service has provided maintenance work for our pool a couple different times, always with professionalism and as quickly as their schedule allowed. Prices are reasonable. The workers are amazingly friendly and proud of this family-owned and operated business. The last job they did was to rearrange some pipes in the area of our pool equipment. What a difference that made in our yard! Everything turned out perfectly, and Matt was wonderful as usual. We also use them for monthly service and can't say enough good things about the guy who takes care of our pool.

Left the pool in their care while we rented our house out, well the service guy did the worst job. The tenets sent pics. Had to fire them while we were back east and find another comp.

Unfortunately at the time the pump needed a new motor. They were going to check with their warranty company and we are not sure what happened after that. The pool was looking worse and worse with no motor working. They cancelled service with us.

I called on the morning of July 8th and the technician called back and said he would be here between 1-4 pm. He was actually early and got right to work. I explained the problem but after 20-30 minutes he came and told me he couldn't repair the problem. It's electrical and he didn't have the tools to make the repair. He said therefore no service charge since he couldn't do anything. He gave me the name and number of the electrician they use so that saved me a lot of time and anguish. Good guys.

Were ahead of schedule. Kept us updated and were very informative, warm, polite. Didn't take any short cuts, experienced craftsman. Clean and extremely careful. Stayed within their estimate and actually provided advice on other issues and future work we would like done. This is a long time family run business who came highly recommended. They are licensed, bonded and had no past citations or state board disciplines. Our pool looks brand new and we couldn't be happier with the outcome.

It took 3 phone calls for someone to get back to me about pool fencing. By the time they called me back, I already went with another company. Not learning from my first experience and wanting to use the coupon on this site, I called again. This time for weekly pool service, initial cleaning, and purchasing some equipment. The receptionist would not give me a specific time frame (e.g., within the next day or two) when I would get a call back or even when the earliest available day they have opening to come out. Why do you have a receptionist if she can't schedule or even check the schedule of the pool guys? Very disappointed! Would not recommend this company!!!!

We've been using J and S Pool Service a long time. They're very responsive. If I call because something's wrong, they're excellent at keeping the pool clean and the chemicals in balance. There have been two or three different people over the many years that we've used them that have come to our home and all of them have been very professional, very nice, friendly and thorough. They're the only pool company we've ever used and we've been in our home for 24 years.
Description of Work: They clean the pool every week and the filter, when it needs it. They kind of keep everything running. We've gotten equipment through them.

I already told it in the box above.
Description of Work: I called them week before Thanksgiving in 2010 to see if they could fix my pool heater by thanksgiving. Service person came on Thursday, the day after I called. The guy said he knew just what it was and was going to order 2 parts, it might need just one or both. I asked him to please try and fix it by thanksgiving because I was having lots of company and my house was small and this way a lot of my guests could be outside swimming. He said he was leaving the day before Thanksgiving to the desert on vacation but if the parts came in before that he would come out and fix the pool heater. I never heard from him or anyone at that company again. I must have called back at least 20 times. On the Monday before Thanksgiving the girl at J & S Pool service did answer the phone and when asked, she checked and said one of the parts had come in. I called that repair guys cell phone number again, several times, to see if he was going to install the part, and he didn't answer his cell phone.

Not as trustworthy as I would like a company to be.
Description of Work: I have had these guys come out a couple of times. First was to clean and inspect the pool prior to closing on the house. We asked the guy to teach us as we had no clue what we were doing. He did a good job for the most part but left out some vital information. I recently singed up for service. The communication is not the best. I pay 95 dollars a month for them to come out and check my chemicals and mix and match as need be. I was under the impression that this would also include them vacuuming the pool. I was not told this was the case until after I reported it had not been done. I also had asked them to come out again to teach us how to work the pump. We had a no show.

To avoid any confusion in services being provided it has been our policy for years to have every maintenance service customer sign and return our service agreement. It explains exactly what services are included in the monthly fee. This is a monthly agreement that has a one month minimum. It is a simple way to make sure the customer gets all the facts.

Overall the job was done professionally - the communication was not good. Calls were not returned when they indicated and I had to call several times to obtain a start date.
Description of Work: This company was one of three I contacted to provide an estimate to replaster my in ground pool. Although they did an excellent job - they were lax in their communication with me.

Unfortunately we do not always have full control of scheduling when other subcontractors are involved. This gets particularly difficult during the swim season when demand is high. We have however, focused our efforts on opening lines of communication in order to provide superior customer service.

Received quote from Jim. Installation was done by Josh and Matt . Very personable and competent young men. A pleasure to do business with.. Jim followed up via email informing me to call should there be any problems, etc. Incredibly fast and "clean" job. Removed old heater and installed new Raypak 206a (Rheem) heater. No problems. Highly recommend.

Our bi-weekly salt pool service ranges from $50 - $65 per month. We specialize in salt water chlorination and offer both bi-weekly and weekly services. Our customers choose the plan which best suits their needs and budget.
