We used their installation team. Unfortunately they only spoke Spanish so it was difficult to communicate until their supervisor arrived who was able to translate for us. They tried to move a built-in entertainment center and it was difficult to get across that it was immobile. The gentlemen ripped out the old carpet very quickly. They had to grind down the concrete in one area (for an extra fee $50) before they could lay the laminate. The install team was missing a strip of wood that bordered the door entryway even though they knew they would need it. The supervisor was unable to get it from the warehouse. There was a delay in getting this strip. It took over 10 hours to complete the carpet install. It was very late in the evening when we were able to move the beds in to sleep. The laminate job was not completed. They had to return another day to finish. We were given all the left over material. I had the carpet remnant bound through Flooring liquidators and paid $1 linear foot. These remnants came out nice.
Description of Work: Helped me chose the right carpet and laminate flooring. Explained the costs and installation process. Had the area measured on another appointment for the estimate. The price of the carpet was cheaper than at the big box stores and was in stock for immediate installation. Hauled the old carpet away for free and a flat fee for installation of carpet. I paid a portion up front but I was told I would have to pay the install team separate in a check for the laminate install at the completion of the task. There was a fee to move our furniture, so I decided to move it myself.

Description of Work: We asked for an estimate to re-carpet an apartment. It took a few days longer than they claimed it would to get their estimator out to measure. We were supposed to get a call back within a day or two with an estimate and to set up a time for installation. We called and emailed twice, never heard back from anyone. It's been about two weeks since then and I don't expect we'll ever hear from them.

To start with he, Doug, told me while I was house breaking a puppy would not be a problem because of this terrific new grout that was like glass and wouldn't stain. He also said It was no problem to run the tile up to the top of the tile. And I wouldn't need to seal the tiles which I questioned telling him my dad said I should get 2-3. Here is where I really messed up I didn't have all that wonderful news down on the work order. Like the other comment on this, my tile is laid by a different company so I made sure I told them (boss, Jimmie and every other worker knew about non staining tile grout don't need seal and tile grout up to the top of the tiles They did not do any of the things I asked for the grout stained terribly The grout was so low I could feel the sharp tile edges when going barefoot And the tile itself stained from the puppy too. I am nieve and should have gotten other people's advice and been perseverant But they said the would test the grout. I called and called The test wasn't done. After a year I Dave up. With out any recourse since I didn't have that stuff in writing I got taken. It didn't help I was A young blue-eyed blond. Some times I think they can see me coming I want to emphasize that this review I for the floor tile liquidators on black stone and herndon Don't talk to Doug if you want any advise and put every detail in writing

Description of Work: This project was actually divided between two companies under the same "roof". Flooring Liquidators supplied the materials (vinyl floor tiles) and Dave Brown Co. supplied the labor for removal and installation. As to F. L., they were competent and cooperative to a point. That is to say, during the process of obtaining samples of the product (several to compare at our house) and ordering the materials (from their LA warehouse), we had to stay in constant contact and prod them to take the next step (follow up on calls not returned to them etc). After we finally got the product things went much better. Dave Brown gave us a price on the job previous to our purchasing the product (he does most of the install work for F. L.) This was not an ordinary job as there were already 4 floors laid down before he started. I had told him that it was imperative to remove all the old floors, as I was no longer able to get the under-counter dishwasher out in case I had to replace it. His crew did this in a professional and timely manner. They went all the way down to the plywood sub-floor and started back in with 1/4" underlayment. Over this they installed the new vinyl tile and did a very nice job of it. They completed their work in the original 2 day time frame and cleaned up their mess in a professional manner. We would recommend them to anyone needing floor work.
