 + -1 moreChuck Elkins' professionalism and extensive knowledge in the construction industry has proven to be priceless in my experience with him as a home inspector. He does not miss a thing and left my client feeling confident that we know the true condition of the house during our inspection period. He pointed out things that an inexperienced inspector would likely have missed and he will go over every detail with you during the inspection if you can be there and will go over the report with you if you can't. Chuck will inspect your home thoroughly, paying attention to every detail and with his knowledge about every aspect of construction you will feel confident in knowing the true condition of your house. Also, his quote was VERY competitive! I recommend him highly!

 + -1 moreStarted out great, went downhill, ended up having to hire a contractor 5 years later for something that should have been caught by this company on day 1.
Description of Work: This company performed my home inspection on a new home. This was 5 years ago but as I go to sell the house today and had it inspected by the buyers inspector they found that all of the smoke detectors were not interconnected. If this company is not checking the smoke detectors what are they checking? I remember very vividly the original inspection in which the inspector made a SHOW of pulling the hot water heater retaining strap out of the wall right in front of the builder. This got the builder pretty angry and impressed me. The inspector and the builder talked alone for a minute and after that they were all chummy. The inspector spent the rest of the time trying to sell his services to the builder. What I got from this is that the strap show is just that, a show! I also found huge scratches in the bathtub after moving in and that's the sort of thing I would expect an inspector to catch. I recall that a good deal of time was spent by the inspector telling me how to care for my home.

 + -1 moreVery disappointed. After I moved into the home, I discovered the oven did not work. Had the builder come out and was told it was never connected to the breaker. They apologized and fixed it. Also, most of the outlets in my living room did not work. Once again, the builder's electricians fixed it because they discovered they had connected some wires wrong, which caused all outlets on the circuit to malfunction. Contacted him and he denied everything. Said it was fine when he was there. Then, last week we noticed one shower head will only get hot water. Still waiting for builder to fix this. This guy is obviously over charging customers for his service. Thankfully this home is under warranty. Advise anyone to avoid this company.
Description of Work: I hired this company to inspect a new construction home before purchase in September 2006.
