+ -1 moreD K Concrete was hired to replace an existing driveway, front and side walkways at my house in Clearlake Oaks, CA. They made changes to the driveway without discussing these changes with me. The driveway they installed meets the garage below the garage floor level and there is a vertical edge of 1 1/2? along the entire garage door opening. This vertical edge is a safety/trip hazard to anyone walking into the garage and will be cited by any Home Inspector. Also they did saw-cut control joints in the driveway and walkways. This is a very non-standard way to do the control joints and they did them so they would save time. I've had two different contractors (one with 45 years of concrete experience and the other with 35 years of experience) look at the work done by D K Concrete and they both said they had never ever seen a job done like this. I paid to have all the work removed and redone by a competent contractor.
Description of Work: Replaced an existing concrete driveway and walkways.

Description of Work: Contractor, Don Krier and his crew, did a top quality job on building a stamped and stained concrete patio in our backyard. They used rebar-reinforced concrete, but made it look more like slate stones. They were on schedule and kept to their written estimate. They weren't cheap, but it was a classic case of you get what you pay for - definite quality workmanship !
