+ -1 moreThe entire process went well. Doug's bid was in the middle of a total of 3 bids. The lesser bid did not include upgrading the ducts, which I knew was needed. The higher bid seemed high for no apparent reason. So, I'm glad I chose Doug's company. He had the job done in just a couple days. He clearly knew what he was doing.
Description of Work: The company replaced my existing furnace and a/c system with new and much more efficient units. They also updated my existing ducts with higher grade materials.

Description of Work: We have a very old home (1907) that was not set up for central air and heating. Doug Chapin was able to duct the entire house including an innovative duct for a room addition. He was very neat and professional. They cleaned up after each phase of the installation, they even installed a permanent light fixture in the attic for servicing unit in the future. Units work great and are extremely quite. Condenser had to be placed on bedroom side of house and we can hardly hear it even at night time. His bid came within $ 100 of other bids by larger company.Would definitely use him again.

I could get the two units on-line, no sales tax, free delivery. he agreed that I should purchase and he would install Received units on Monday, installation on Tuesday and Wednesday One unit hung on second floor stucco wall on bracket - rented man lift to do this difficult job safely Very fair price for 3 people, two days supplying labor and all parts excluding the main units Very pleased

+ -1 moreWho else would come out on a blistering hot Sunday on the 4th of July weekend to rescue you and not gouge you for the call? We trust him for all our air conditioning needs.
Description of Work: Doug is great! He has serviced our air conditioning and heating system for years. He replaced our 38 year old unit about 6 years ago. It went out during the summer, but he managed to keep it going until fall so we could get a unit when they were on sale. Even with the cost of the summer repair, he saved us a couple of hundred dollars. Very reasonable and extremely reachable. The new unit got an insect and shorted out during the hottest day thus far. Doug replaced the part and charged only for the service call and part, even though it was a holiday weekend.
