Exactly what we would hope for in a handyman: knowledgeable about building codes and materials; sets a high standard for himself; does what he says he will do; arrives on time and communicates clearly via phone and email to maintain expectations; and offers generally reasonable pricing. We also appreciate that he will honestly distinguish what is or is not a bigger concern among the household "fix-it" items we ask him about. We are grateful to have found Manuel through Angie's List.

I have a very old toilet seat that is so hard to replace . We needed a saw to cut the hinges. I already scratch the bowl from DIY. I decided to find a handymen to help me with this and to avoid anymore scratches or worse. I called Manuel Tenorio & he responded so quickly. He also help me with the light fixture in the powder room. He is very good of what he do. I guess I just found a good handymen. I strongly recommend "Manuel Tenorio".

So far we have been very pleased with Manuel's work. We just keep asking him to do one job after another and he has been very accommodating and willing to tackle each job. Thanks Manuel!!!

I recently decided to redecorate my upstairs loft space into a den with a combination of beadboard paneling and wallpaper on the walls, topped with crown molding. After scraping the popcorn ceiling off myself, I had wallpaper installed on the upper 54" of the walls. Among the several handymen I called for estimates for the beadboard and crown installation, Manuel was clearly the most responsive. He arrived at my house on time and gave me an estimate based on what I had in mind, but he also offered a key suggestion to improve the aethetics of my project that I hadn't considered. He noted that it might look better to sheathe with plywood/trim and paint the back of a large dark wooden beam adjacent to my den to match the ceiling and crown molding color. After the contract was signed, Manuel and his son arrived on time on the scheduled day to begin work. They first installed the beadboard paneling I had pre-painted and consulted me at various points for my preference on small stylistic details. The crown molding I had purchased at first seemed as though it would be problematic to install, but they found a solution. They had to come back another day to install the plywood sheathing. The sheathing, it turns out, had some minor defects, so Manuel returned it for new pieces. This is another example of attention to detail and quality control that Manuel exhibited, something I really appreciated. On that second day I added two additional tasks to the work to be done: skimming and smoothing out some rough spots on the ceiling I had scraped; and rewiring the ceiling junction to work on a dimmer switch and installing the fixture I had purchased. It took another half day of work to get everything completed, but now that I've finished up the painting, I couldn't be happier with the outcome. It was the positive profile of Manuel in the Angie's List Magazine earlier this year that prompted me to include him in getting estimates, and I'm glad I did. This was one of the best experiences I've had with Angie's List and I would highly recommend him to others.

He has put in a sink, done electrical work, replaced a door, and replaced some drywall. They are putting in a new front door right now. The pricing of the project has fluctuated because we have added some work, but it has been very reasonable throughout the project.

I don't remember how much we spent as we used him a year ago and we have not required his services since. Next time we do, though, we will be calling him.

It went very well. He came by and checked out the job, asked questions and made suggestions. He sent me an itemized bid for the work and followed up on a time to do the work. He was on time, we did a walkthrough before he worked and after he was done. He worked steadily and cleaned so well, you wouldn't know he had been there and what kind of work he did. He answered questions I had and showed me other things that we might want to take care of at a later time. One thing in the kitchen wasn't done quite right by the previous owners and he tried to adjust it, but it just wasn't going the way it needed to. He showed me the problem and told me how it should be fixed, but we didn't have the parts. As this was at the tail end of the job, I didn't see a need to fix the issue right away. I paid him and he left. Then he came back a few minutes later with one more idea on how to fix the problem. Unfortunatly it didn't work, but I really appreciated his commitment to the issue! We have hired him several other times to do work on a different house. He knows what he is doing and he's one of the good guys. Would definitely hire him again.

I have used Tenorio?s Handyman service several times. Most recently, we got a call informing us that one of our tenants had a broken window. This was the middle of winter and it needed to be handled immediately. The window was an old style single-pane window and we decided to replace it with something more energy efficient. I contacted Manuel and gave him the property manager?s contact information. He made an immediate appt to take measurements of the window and he placed the order for a new window. As soon as the window was ready, he picked it up and arranged for another appointment at the property to do the installation. He even alerted us to another potential problem on the property. Everything was handled very efficiently with minimal effort on my part. I have complete confidence in Manuel. He has always handled things very honestly and efficiently and he doesn?t overcharge.

I have used Manuel in the past many times. My mother is no longer able to get in and out of the shower unassisted so I called Manuel out to measure the shower stall for grab bars. He located studs and suggested where we should hang them. He gave me the sizes of the grab bars needed. We noticed that the walkway and driveway were slippery from algae growing on them. He then quoted me a price for how much it would cost to pressure wash it. I went and purchased the grab bars and two days later he came back out to install them and pressure wash my driveway. The pressure washer that he showed up with was not a tiny little electric pressure washer, it was gas powered one and it cleaned and stripped away the algae from the concrete. As always Manuel is professional and on time. Manuel is great at describing in detail what work will be performed. He also suggested great ideas of other things that can accommodate my mom throughout the house such as reversing the swing on the bathroom doors so they swing outward, this way she can't fall and be stuck behind a locked door. Also, widening our walker ramp.

We have hired Manuel several times and, as always, his work and attitude is friendly and professional. He came to the house and figured dout what was needed. He gave us a list of materials to buy. He returned within a week and did a nice job of re-wiring on the inside wall of the garage, using small-diameter conduit to cover the wires. The two light installations are functioning well and we feel much more secure having these lights.

My wood front door was 24 years old and badly weathered so I decided to refinish it myself, including all new hardware. After completely refinishing the door and frame including trim, I discovered the hinges were a rare hole pattern. I searched far and wide before finding them on the internet. Unfortunately the hole patterns were still off just a bit and I ended up getting the screws in crooked and generally botching the job of rehanging the door. It wouldn?t close because of binding at the hinges and inside door frame. I really thought this was going to cost me a whole new door (including frame) but I decided to let Manuel look at it. Manuel thought the door could be saved and that?s just the way things turned out. His efforts saved me many hundreds of dollars on a new door and installation. One thing I really appreciated was that Manuel said that if the effort to rehang the door was unsuccessful he would apply the full fee towards a new door and frame installation -more than reasonable. I did however lower my rating in the ?Price? category to a B because I felt the actual time spent (a couple of hours) did not warrant the original quote even though I understand it isn?t always easy to estimate a job and it?s inevitable that some will be bid high and others low. Manuel was on time for the initial estimate and for the actual work later. He was pleasant to work with and he worked quickly and professionally. I would not hesitate to use him again.

Manuel was OK, he showed up on time and completed the project in budget and time. The work was mostly good except for a few issues, first he parked on the lawn which had recently been watered leaving a big rut in it which he did not even offer to fix. Second there was some lack of attention to details such as I had to paint the wood footer of the door myself and he did not give me the keys to the security door in the back.. All that being said, I would consider using him again but I would make sure I am onsite and managing him carefully.

Manuel was great! He showed up when he said he would, did the job in a timely manner and made sure that I was completely satisfied before leaving. He is professional and delivers on promises. I would definitely use him again for handyman services.

it went exactly as explained in their proposal. They made multiple trips back to compete the jobs since some parts/materials had to be ordered. They removed and installed a faucet and instant hot water dispenser underneath the preparation island sink. It required removing and re-installing the disposal and drain pipe so there would be space to remove and replace the two items mentioned. They also built a 25 foot "floating wall" to enclose the upstairs, exposed, office area. The recommendation to use sliding closet doors was great since the wall blocked out the upstairs windows. By sliding open one or more of the four closet doors, outside air can flow through. Since the windows faced east, by closing the sliding doors, it blocked out the early morning sun. We are very happy with the work performed, especially the floating wall.

Manuel and his partner came over and got right to work with upgrading the door trim to support the door. He was thorough and took time to explain things during the process so I could see what was being done. I would use his services again in the future.

Manuel came over to give me a bid the same day I called him, Wednesday. He walked through the areas with me and discussed what his normal charges were. He said he would email me a bid later that day. And he did! He called me later that night to let me know that his Thursday job had cancelled and if i wanted him to do the work I asked him about, to call him by 9am. So the next day I met him at the house at the agreed upon time, with the materials needed. We did a walkthrough to make sure we were in agreement of what was to be done. Then I left him to do the work. Part way through he called me to let me know that one of the items I bought did not fit correctly and he told me what to buy instead. He also called to tell me that he was going to be short on some of the moulding. He was very helpful. I bought the items and brought them to the house. After the work was done, we did another walkthrough and all of the work was well done. I was definitely impressed. I had told him earlier that we were getting ready to sell the house and he remembered I had mentioned something about an FHA loan. Turns out he does FHA repairs as well. He pointed out areas that were going to get flagged if we had an FHA appraisal. Really appreciated this information and his initiative to share it! When I need another handyman, Manuel is the first one I am going to call! He was professional, knoweledgable, efficient and gracious.

Initial repair of gate only partially fixed the issue. Manuel came back and readjusted the gate. Everything seems fine now.

We called for an estimate and we set a time with him to meet. And he was prompt like no one we had ever seen. Not "between 12 and 4" like a lot of people do but an almost exact time. He even came back a second time to let us select the colors for the weather stripping. He sent his estimate promptly through E-mail which arrived well before our appointment. When the job was completed the door was weather tight. He will be contacted for more service when needed.

The job was completed right on time (4 days). The finished fireplace is exactly what I had envisioned. I would highly recommend Tenorio?s Handyman Service and have already discussed with him some plans for future work at my home.

I have a rental home that had two problems: toilet ran continuously and the light in the kitchen would sometimes not turn on. I called Manuel who returned my call promptly and I gave him contact information for the renters and he setup a convenient time to estimate the repairs. The toilet had continuously been a problem and I had a new toilet that I asked Manuel to install. We agreed to a price for the work and scheduled the repairs. When Manuel went to exchange toilets, the new one did not fit, but he was able to repair the old one and fix the light in the kitchen.

We called Manuel back because he has done high quality, fairly priced, work for us before. The front door that he installed a couple of months ago was sticking; he initially thought it might have settled some. He looked at the door and made a minor adjustment to the sill plate. Since he was here, we asked him to fix a leaky faucet in the bathtub; he removed the old faucet, went to the local hardware store, bought necessary parts and installed them in a short period of time. We also needed more light on our walkway, so he replaced our standard switch-operated front porch light with a motion sensor light. We were very happy with his work and his price.

Manuel gave me a time of arrival between 9:30 and 10:00. He showed up at 9:30 and as always, very professional. Manuel installed the TV wall mount. He was able to move an outlet up the wall and hide all component wires in the cavity of my wall. He then hung my Christmas present which was a flat screen TV and hooked up the surround sound. Manuel is very thorough with clean up and haul away of garbage. My TV and surround sound look and sound great.

Manuel came to our house to give us an estimate on replacing the front and back doors; he was on time, friendly and very knowledgeable about the work involved. We knew nothing about doors, so he took the time to inform us about different kinds of doors and their pros and cons. He explained how he would install them, how long it would take and gave a reasonable price. Although we had other bids, we chose Manuel because of his knowledge and experience. Manuel did a great job installing the front door; we love it! When he removed the back door he found dry rot, which required evaluation of the problem and a new estimate. Again, the cost was reasonable, although scary, because it was impossible to access/see all the areas that might be destroyed and the cost could go up drastically. We are happy to say that Manuel found LESS dry rot than he expected and he dropped the price accordingly. Very honest! We love the new back door ( including the new cat door)! When Manuel came out to give us the door estimate, I learned he could repair our fence so I asked for an estimate. Again, he assessed the necessary work carefully, trying to cut our costs with suggestions that would not necessitate brand new fence. We hired him and he did a professional, neat job. His work areas were always safe and clean, during and after construction. We will definitely hire Manuel again; he has a huge resume of construction experience and is so reliable. With this in mind, we are keeping an ongoing list of repairs and fixes needed.
