He did not have a business card on the day of the estimate or on the day of the service. He also did not report accurately what he had installed on the sprinkler head. He also was not responsive in getting me a receipt for the work, I had to call him twice to get it. The quality of the work was good though.

Exceeded all expectations! I was picky about plants and Erik was very patient with me when I gave a thumbs down to some of his choices and worked with me to find replacements I liked. He made several suggestions such as a bigger fountain that made all the difference. The level of communication throughout the process was great. His crew cleaned up everyday. He gave me tips and pointers on how and when to prune things back and adjust irrigation for changing seasons. A great experience from start to finish.

Eric contacted us promptly to set up an appointment for an estimate (one of three). We received his estimate promptly. We had him come back out to discuss adjustments in costs and Eric worked with us to keep our costs in line. The Mogensen crew showed up daily on time (0700 am) and worked hard throughout the day. They stopped work in the afternoon and made sure that everything was cleaned up before leaving (approx. 0330 pm). They had the proper equipment for the major dirt removal and shaping. They also used electronic leveling to insure proper drainage. We were asked daily if there were any problems or concerns. These were addressed and changes were made to our satisfaction. They even extended the sprinkler system to an area of bedding that hadn't been in the estimate and didn't charge any extra. They told us repeatedly that they wanted us to be happy with the finished product. We are very happy with our new backyard. The Mogensen crew was easy to work with and made the project as stress free as possible. I would gladly recommend and use them for any future project.

Called Erik talked to his wife, he called back same day to set up appointment. Showed up at exact time for the appointment. Sent contract the day after by e-mail. I sent off the contract with 10% down after a couple of days he e-mailed me the day of repairs and they showed at 730 AM the day promised and finished the same day! Will use them again for sure!

Eric Mogensen, the owner of the company, met with me to discuss my ideas and plans of what I wanted for the front yard. With the landscaping project, I also planned to have my entire house and garage painted, and also wanted to include masonry stonework on the front of the house and the front porch. Eric provided recommendations of contractors for the painting and masonry work, each of whom did excellent work. With the painting and masonry work done, Eric and his crew proceeded with the landscaping. They installed a drip and mist irrigation system, that provides deep watering for all of the plants while providing significant water use savings. A drainage system for the entire yard was put into place to make sure water, from both the irrigation system and when the winter rains come, drains away from the foundation of the house, and moves the water to the edge of the sidewalk. The front yard landscaping consisted of four defined areas outlined by the walkway paths connecting the driveways on opposite sides of the property and from the front sidewalk to the front porch steps. Each area has some large boulders, some area of small, rounded river rock, a selection of flowers, shrubs, grasses, groundcover, and a tree. The selection of the plants emphasized numerous California natives, drought tolerance, and the ability to attract butterflies, bees, and similar beneficial insects. Some areas were also mounded, to provide a nice visual terrain. The work was done on schedule, on budget, and with a high degree of professionalism. Eric was constantly in contact with me, by phone, eMail, and personal contact, in all phases of the project, including the house painting and the masonry work. He constantly talked with me about options with the landscaping, in addition to other things that could be done, such as exterior landscape lighting and staining of the concrete to match the stonework. In the month since the job was finished and the final payment was made, Eric has stopped by a couple of times to check on the condition of the plants and drainage, and to make adjustments with the automatic watering timer. During the next 6-8 months, I intend to hire Eric's company to provide expert advice on possible additional plantings, and the best ways to ensure the ongoing growth and proper maintenance of the plants. I highly recommend Mogensen Landscaping, and have told Eric that he is welcome to have prospective clients come by to look at the work, and to use me as a reference.

The landscaper arrived on time and completed the estimate. He quoted me a price of $1,500.-$2,500. He described a lot of work that I wasn't interested in for my backyard. I told him that I just wanted a basic service and that his estimate was more than I wanted to spend.

I love Morgensen Landscaping! We tried 5 different gardeners to care for my mother's yard. It wasn't until I found Morgensen was I completely satisfied. They are professional and very nice to work with. I have had to ask for specific times and processes to accommodate my mother and they have always complied with smiles. They do a great job! It is a rather large front yard with a huge lawn and my mother will sit at her front window commenting on how beautiful her yard is. I would recommend them to anyone that wants quality service with a smile.

Eric and all his team were polite, punctual, efficient and helpful. I would use their services again without hesitation.

I have had different landscape companies provide various services in the past, including the installations of my front and back yards, and this experience was by far the best experience of them all. Erik Mogensen is exceptional. I got estimates from other contractors for this work and Erik's proposal made the most sense to correct a significant drainage problem. When I researched my options with other people and online, I realized that doing the job the way Erik proposed would be the best, even if not the least expensive, alternative. (One bid was lower, one was higher.) Furthermore, Erik was able to explain the work without being condescending. All of the french drain was dug by hand and graded so it will work properly. The old header board was removed and replaced in a such a way that it should not pop up like the previous one (which was not installed properly by a completely different company). All of the guys who worked on the job did good work. The foreman in particular was impressive. At the end of the job, there was extra soil that had to be removed that was not in the original estimate because I thought I could use all of it in my raised garden beds. As this was not included in the original estimate, Erik appropriately billed me for the additional expense. The additional amount was extremely reasonable. I found a downspout that had not been tied into the drainage system a couple days after the work was done. I contacted Erik and he had someone out to correct it the next day. I have only one suggestion for improvement. While Erik did come to the job site several times over the course of two days, he did not do a final inspection. Or if he did, I am not aware of it. Had he done so, he might have found the downspout that needed to be tied in and saved us both the time involved to repair it on another day. That being said, Erik apologized for my inconvenience and did get it corrected promptly. Not all companies that I have used in the past have been so professional about follow-up work.

Mogensen did a great job with the design of my front yard. They were very responsive and the work took only took a few days. They were right on schedule. i am very happy with the results.

They hardly did anything; that’s why I don’t use them anymore. They did the least and charged the most of any lawn service I have ever used. They were supposed to take care of my yard but they were terrible. They were very lazy and they were very rude. They had a rude attitude and nothing but excuses. They did show up; I'll give them credit for that. They just didn't do much. They were terrible and I would tell other people to not waste their money.

Iric and his crew could not possibly have been any easier to work with. Always congenial, happy to modify plans as the project developed and did their work in a professional manner. I would absolutely recommend this company to friends and will undoubtedly use them in the future.

Eric Mogensen met with us on time and explained what he and his men would be doing. He suggested the least expensive way to accomplish the job. He and his men showed up, did a terrific job, did the work in a relatively short amount of time, covered over the trench and replaced the mulch. (You can't even tell there was anywork done, and the line is working great.) The job came in under Eric's estimate, and his men even went to the trouble of using a pile of dirt that my husband had removed when he first started looking for the leak. It was in the side yard on a tarp. They even cleaned and folded up the tarp. Fantastic crew!
