Cool Aquatics Pool Service is owner-operated for over 20 years, and the owner has over 25 years of experience in the industry. We provide honest, reliable, professional pool service, with the intent of taking all of the worry and stress out of your pool maintenance. We offer three weekly pool service options and can repair or replace all types of pool equipment. We exist to perform all the necessary maintenance and repairs so that you can enjoy a trouble free pool, any time of the year.

Services we offer

Cool Aquatics provides your choice of three different levels of pool service: 1) Chemical Only: We test and balance the following pool chemistry levels: Chlorine, PH, Alkalinity, Calcium, Conditioner. 2) Chemical Plus: All of the above PLUS equipment maintenance, which includes emptying skimmer and pump baskets, pool sweep bag or vacuum canister, and periodic filter cleaning or backwashing at no additional charge. 3) Full Service: All of the above services and cleaning the pool from top to bottom. *We can also provide equipment parts and repairs as necessary, which are billed separately.

Services we don't offer

Cool Aquatics does not offer tile cleaning, deck work or replastering but would be happy to refer you to other high quality companies who we have had the pleasure to work with.

Joe had been taking care of my pool for 10 years. The service is excellent and Joe responds quickly when I have a question or problem. Joe treats his customers like friends. He only does what is necessary and charges a fair price for the service.

The previous pool service man had did something to my pool that turned it a purplish color. I had called and left messages. One day my daughter came and said there was someone out front who was my pool guy. He informed me he purchased my account from the previous pool service. I took him back to my pool and he already had a key. He informed me he could fix my pool and would honor the other pool service fee. He said to clean the debris from the pool he would have to upgrade my service from $50 to $75 a month. He started servicing my pool in September 2014 and he had a couple of employees that he rotated through servicing. Mid-November, the pool was getting worse. They were coming to test the water and then leaving. He informed me again that I had to upgrade the service to have the pool cleaned. I advised him I wanted a pool sweep without wheels. He found a pool sweep and he told me it had wheels, but he could adapt it to our pool. He took off the wheels and a nylon scooper and had put plastic piping on the end. At this point, the pool was still purple and the sweeper was not taking care of the color or the debris in the pool. I left him a message on New Years Day and informed him how upset I was about the pool situation. The following day I received a voice mail. Joe told me he couldn't believe I called him on New Years Day, and that he didn't answer to our local pool organization. He also told me he didn't feel comfortable servicing my pool, or that there was anything he didn't already know about pools. He said he would cancel my account, refund half of the money and put my key in the mail. I emailed asking for the parts taken off of the pool sweep - he emailed back saying he didn't remove anything, and that he would never step foot on my property again. I emailed him twice again and said that if he had bought the pool sweep he had the original attachment and I didn't want to buy a new one. He never responded again. In order to correct the "purple haze" of my pool I had hired a new pool service, they knew immediately what to do. They had to drain the pool to 3 quarters, put the purple haze treatment in and re-test the water. After we did the first round of treatment, the chlorine levels were still off the charts (I was told it would have been unhealthy for anyone to use the pool with that high chorine reading)). We drained the pool again, and put the right amount of water in and the purple haze treatment to balance the water out with new chemicals. My last email to him was in March. I attached to the email an outline of the cost to fix the problem. I stated that I wanted to be re-imbursed for those charges, as well as the four months that he came to my home, charged me to my pool and did nothing. I stated he had to reply to me by April 20th or I would proceed with other actions. Again, he never responded. 5-22-15 MY RESPONSE TO JOE HARTIN, OWNER OF COOL AQUATICS POOL SERVICE?S RESPONSE Joe Hartin did nothing but cause more problems and cost me more money....He said, "In this case when we realized that our recommendations were not going to be fully approved and that the pool condition would not likely see any further improvement "what he "recommended" I do is get a new filter and That wouldn't have fixed the problem! My pool had " purple haze " maybe he should take more continued education classes or network with his fellow pool industry peers? And he might have been able to diagnose the real issue which was my pool had been over stabilized by the previous service company. My dealings with him have been horrible and his cockiness and arrogant attitude like he knows it all and no one knows anything about pools that he doesn?t already know, has no merit... Well, obviously he has a little more to learn since after having my account for several months he couldn't fix my pool problem that had been diagnosed by someone who is actually water chemistry certified and was a member of IPSSA did just by looking at my pool. You may not always get what you expect when you're buying accounts but you should know what you're doing in your profession to rectify the problem for the customer regardless if the previous company screwed up or not. His comment regarding not having the tools to work on above ground pools was the direct opposite of what he told me during our first meeting. I asked one of his employees why hadn?t the debris in the pool cleaned out and he stated the pool company didn?t have the equipment to do so. When I ask Joe Hartin about this, he blew up and said his employees have no business discussing anything about what the company has or doesn?t have. DO you honestly think I would hire a company that came out and per Hartin?s company policy ?was not responsible for fixing pre-existing conditions?? I would have told him that his services were not needed and would have found a company that actually knew how to correctly ?service a pool?. Instead, Hartin said nothing, just took 4 months of pool service money from me and charged me for a piece of equipment (over $370.00) that when he modified it, it became useless and I seriously believe he knew this to be the case all along!

Unfortunately, in buying your account from your previous pool service provider sight unseen, we were first unaware of the preexisting problems you had with your pool. While it did take a week or two to troubleshoot your pool, we were able to balance your pool chemistry and successfully troubleshoot problems with your pool filtration system. We made the recommendation to install a new pool vacuum suitable for your above ground pool, and replace the pool filter which was in total disrepair. You authorized the new pool vacuum and pool filter in steps, to fit your budget. We delivered the new pool vacuum as step one. When it came time to replace the pool filter, you refused to have us complete the job. Unfortunately, in refusing our complete recommendation, and despite our best efforts, the pool did not improve, and we finally had to make the decision to terminate your service. Afterwards, as you requested, we completely refunded you the initial price paid for the new, operating pool vacuum, which you kept. Unfortunately, with the restrictions you put in place, it did not work out and there was nothing else we could do for you.

Joe is great. He has been working on our pool for 14 years and we have always been happy with his service. He is extremely responsive to repair calls, but also notices and fixes things without being asked. His bills are always reasonable and I have never questioned the necessity of a repair. Our pool is always crystal clear and ready for swimming. Thanks, Joe!
