+ -1 moreThe contractor was on site each day to check on the two workers. The job was started on time and finished on time, and stayed on budget. The crew cleaned up nicely after each day's work. The new tile looks great, and we have had no problems to date. Would definitely use Concept Construction again.
Description of Work: Removed tub surround, and installed ceramic tile around tub. Also installed new shower and tub hardward.

+ -1 moreShowed up on time. Very professional, helped us with clear and concise suggestions before work started. Contract conditions were explained. Showed up on time, did excellent work and was a pleasure to work with. Although the work was not done recently, Mike is still in business and I have recommended him to friends who were very happy with him.
Description of Work: Removed existing flooring and shower/bath enclosures in two bathrooms, installed new tile.

+ 3 moreWe have used Concept Construction for several jobs around our home including tile flooring in the laundry room, entry and bathrooms as well as bathroom and kitchen remodels. The owner, Mike Lacheur, is a no-nonsense professional with many years in the construction and tile trades who, along with his employees, does outstanding work. Our existing concrete pad was a mess and required fills and leveling before the tile could be set. Due to the size, the project took almost a week to complete but everything was cleaned up and in order at the end of each day. It turned out beautifully and, as usual with Mike doing the work, we couldn't be more pleased.
Description of Work: The job involved laying porcelain tile over an existing concrete pad. Included dirt removal, form setting and pouring of an additional 10'x12' concrete area prior to tile layment, for a total project area of 550 square feet.

With his background in construction and his great reviews, I felt confident that he would do a good job. I wound up hiring someone else simply because the other bid was a bit lower after the inclusion of materials. I would recommend Mike for any tile job.
Description of Work: Mike bid on a tile job for kitchen floor and backsplash. He is a general contractor as well as a tile contractor, so he was able to include some carpentry as well.

+ 2 moreMike Lacheur of Concept Construction and his two workers were in our home for a little over three weeks. They were punctual and worked steadily without interruptions or problems. They planned the major transformation of our home to prevent as little disruption to our household and lifestyle as possible. My husband has a home office and he was able to conduct his business while they were working. Their knowledge, experience, and skill with tile work is impressive. Everything was planned carefully and carried out accordingly. Their workmanship is unbelievable -- they are artists in their trade. I always felt comfortable with Mike and his crew and I never hesitated to leave them in my home alone. They were very considerate of my privacy when I was home. And, they were such nice guys my dog grew very fond of them. I honestly have to say that my experience with Mike Lacheur and Concept Construction was by far the most favorable experience I have ever had with a contractor. I highly recommend Mike Lacheur and Concept Construction, and my husband and I plan to have them back to do more tile work.
Description of Work: Concept Construction Company, directed by Mike Lacheur, removed our old carpeting, extensively repaired our uneven and creaky floors and installed Italian porcelain tile throughout our home. The extent of the work they did exceeded 2,000 square feet. There were numerous challenges they conquered with their impressive expertise. Mike and his crew far exceeded our expectations. The professionalism exhibited by them was exemplary. They skillfully tiled our large Great Room. a staircase, a hallway, two bathrooms, two closets, an office, and a master dressing room. In addition, they extensively repaired the floors and met numerous floor leveling challenges. I was skeptical they wouldn't be able to do what we wanted and I am very pleased and amazed with their accomplishments. The tile placement is perfect, the design work is beautiful, and I love my new floors. My husband, an Engineer and a perfectionist, could not find any flaws and he is extremely pleased. They were very careful with our furniture when they moved heavy tables and couches during the process. Absolutely nothing was damaged, and they always cleaned up after themselves before they left each day. We did interview other contractors and we could tell during the interview process that Mike Lacheur was far more experienced and knowedgeable than the others. The price we were charged was very fair. I highly recommend Concept Construction, and my husband and I plan to have them back to do more work.

+ 2 moreWe knew the quality of Mike's work from jobs he has done for us in the past. So it was really a no-brainer when we were considering having work done to our kitchen and baths that we would call him for an estimate. His price was fair so we decided to go forward. Mike and his employees did a super quality job, cleaned up messes as they went and completed the project within the estimated timeframe. The baths and kitchen turned out beautiful!
Description of Work: Removed tile kitchen and faux marble bathroom counter tops and replaced with solid surface granite; replaced fluorescent with recessed lighting in kitchen (included drywall work)); removed old tile and installed new tile showers in two baths (included drywall work); new tile floor in one bath.

+ 2 moreI called Mike about two weeks before the job started, described what had to be done and set an appointment for him to look at the job. He came out the next day to estimate the job and pick up a sample of the tile. The heating mat had to be custom made. It arrrived on a Friday and because of my schedule we could not start until Wednesday. Job is completing today and looks great.
Description of Work: Mike installed a heated bathroom floor in my hallway bathroom. This is the second time I've used him. The first time was in 2004 when he installed a heated floor in our master bathroom. His work is neat, clean, good-looking and artistic. He is professional in his approach, friendly and keeps his word. I STRONGLY recommend him!
