Office staff and technicians were easy to work with.

They had to use a Crain it put in on the roof. They did a very good preliminary survey; they showed up when they said they would, they answered all my questions and they did professional job.

We contacted Buckley for a bid. Brian, the owner came out and did it personally. He arrived on time and delivered the bid within the agreed upon timeframe. We were getting multiple bids and Brian was very accommodating in updating his bid so we would have comparable bids on like systems. In the end we went with a different AC contractor with whom we had worked before, but Brian's bids were comparable or only slightly higher and he was very pleasant to work with. I would definitely get a bid from him again in the future, should we need AC again.

Told Kenny my A/C started blowing hot air. I told him that I won't be buying a new system today, if you can fix it in my price range do it. Kenny fixed it. He did what I asked with all my qualifiers. When I'm ready to replace it, Kenny and I will talk. Thanks for your quality work.

These guys are the best.....they have found some problems before we lost our heat or air. They check everything in side and out. If there is a problem, we are giving the chance to fix it now or a later time. Any home owner that does not have this service,....NEEDS to get it. It will save you time and money.

Our interactions with all of Buckley's staff were excellent - from the office staff to the estimator/salesman, Brian Groom, to the installers, Matt and Jake. Brian listened to our concerns and made several logical suggestions. Although his final quote was slightly higher than than the other most competitive quote, his approach to satisfy our needs was definitely the best. Buckley's staff made all the arrangements for the building permit and the PG&E rebate, which we can expect in the next few weeks. The removal and installation was completed in one day. the installers were very professional, net, and careful. In addition, they filled the wall volume were the air-conditioning lines entered the exterior wall with expanding foam to reduce the vibrations, and patched the small holes in the interior wall. At the end Brian finished the job by using our paint to touch-up the patched holes, the scraped paint around the attic access opening, and the wall area exposed by the installation of the new thermostat. The Trane units Included were a two-stage gas furnace with variable speed blower motor, an air conditioning system (compressor and coil), and a thermostat. The 10-year warranty covers labor and parts. From our experience with Buckley, we can highly recommend this organization.

My AC stopped working during a stretch of hot days. Because the problem was an intermittent problem, when theBuckley technician performed a multipoint inspection of the unit something changed and the AC started working and worked for a few more days before failing again. By this time I had followed the technician's suggestion and replaced the thermostat, which wasn't the problem. Because the Buckley technician did not inform me that I would not be charged an additional fee if the problem reoccurred, it took another company and another service fee to correct the problem. And it cost me $125 more than it should have.

John went above and beyond to fully evaluate my home and my current, aging system's performance, and give an honest evaluation and recommendations. He promised he was the best, and I'm certain Buckley is. John and his team were punctual, professional but friendly, responsive, answered all my questions and concerns and finished the work as promised. I have a rental in Citrus Heights. I had my usual service provider go out when my tenants called that the AC was not working on a day that hit 102 degrees. They advised I need either a new compressor (that no one makes for the unit) or a new unit. I called Buckley then for a second opinion and so happy I did!!! Being a couple hours away I have to trust the service providers I work with. Buckley went out and found a hole in the duct/tube letting the cool air escape....he fixed it agreed a new unit needs to be considered sooner rather than later (unit is 27 yrs old). No charge and my tenants have AC again. Very impressed...this is the first review I have ever written on Angie's list. What an amazing customer centric business with integrity! Thanks Buckley!!

The two men from Buckley's arrived right at 7:30 as promised. They were polite and professional. They went right to work and finished at 3:30. They were careful not to let our cats out and also careful not to track dirt into the house. They replaced all our vents installed the AC/Heater and installed smoke detectors in all the rooms. They cleaned up everything and had the old AC/Heater taken away.

The removal of the old heat pump and the installation of the new heat pump went as planned. I had used Buckley Heat, Air and Solar to service my aging (18 years old) heat pump for four years prior. So, I knew from my experience with the company beforehand that they would make sure the installation was a quality installation. They did not disappoint me. In addition, they completed a follow-up visit to make sure everything was working properly and to answer any remaining questions I had about the equipment. Everything is working well and I've learned how to adjust the thermostat remotely. John Buckley was the main person who serviced my old heat pump prior to this new installation. In the past four years I had asked him a number of questions about my old heat pump. In particular, I wondered about the life span of the compressor ... having had the experience of a 17-year old air conditioner compressor fail on me many years ago at another house. I found John to be honest and straight forward ... looking out for my interests. For example, a year ago I asked John if I should be replacing my aging heat pump. He asked me several questions, offered his opinion, and left me to think about a few options. At no time did I feel any pressure to replace the unit. Recently, I read a Consumer Affairs Report article that said a person with a heat pump older than 15 years was living on borrowed time. Recalling my experience with the air conditioner compressor and knowing that I plan to live in this house for another 10 years I called John and asked him to give me a bid on a new unit. He presented various options and the pros and cons with each option. In the end, I firmly believe I made a good choice having Buckley replace my old heat pump.

This company's customer service is amazing. Let me say that this is obviously something they pride themselves on and work very hard for. Bryan was our main contact from start to finish and was always available to us. Bryan made sure we were aware of the process and how everything was going. They were the most expensive out of the four companies we interviewed and got estimates on, but they were by far the most thorough with the initial estimate process. Also, let me note that we did pick practically the top of the line system and touchscreen thermostat (this was at my fiance's wishes, there was no pressure from them at all to pick any particular system at any price point) so that of course inflates the cost, but even with comparable systems at different price points to the other companies, it was still more. However, i would not change my mind based on cost alone because the experience and the way we were taken care of from start to finish was worth every penny. I just can't say enough about how every single person who came into our home was kind and respectful, and I felt comfortable with them being there. There just isn't a price that can be put on that alone. Our system has been in for just over a year now and we are very happy with it. The office people are nice to work with also. They even called me to schedule the tune up and filter change which I appreciate because in our busy lives it is so easy to forget about that part or lose a reminder card in the stack of papers on the counter. Because of all this, I feel confident that they will definitely continue to take care of our system when needed and that is nice to know.

They are easy to schedule and they are on time always. they are very customer focused, they always give the options in getting the latest and greatest. They gave me the furnace that is the latest. It is all great. They gave me good price also. I will recommend him always.

Can't say enough on what a great job they did for us. Brian Groom, who was the first to meet with us and designed the replacement system, was incredibly professional, competent, and responsive. Buckley is luck to have such a great employee. The install team, lead by Matt, were right on time, prepared, and very efficient and careful of our interior walls, floors, etc. They left the job site impeccable. The follow-through after the job was equally impressive. We had a minor glitch in the system operation and when I called Brian, he was at our house right away, carefully troubleshooted the system, and was able to pin-point and resolve the issue. The system has operated perfectly since. They also coordinated the appointment with the city building inspector and made numerous follow-ups to make sure we were satisfied with the system. Bottom-line - These guys far exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend them to anyone who values quality products, competent technicians, and a company dedicated to excellent customer service! Such a rare find these days!

Can you give higher than an A+? My A/C now is way more effective in keeping my house cool and lowering my SMUD bill. AMEN!. I'm just saying that I felt he was honest, direct, and didn't try to shove anything down my throat. Made it very easy to do business with and I will certainly keep them on speed dial for my home and rentals.

.John's crew were on time. They were very polite and professional. They laid down rugs, covered the furniture, kept the dust down to as little as possible. Did a wonderful job of cleaning up before they left. They worked very hard,and and was very responsive to any questions I had and went over how to use the system before they left. A Great Crew!!. They were on Angie’s List. Actually, they were really good. I like them a lot. They were excellent. They were straightforward. He didn’t have any iPad. He wasn’t a sales person. Brian was his name and he installed the stuff. I asked Brian what if I wanted a bigger system. He told it would cost more and he wouldn’t advise it. I felt like he wasn’t trying to sell me something more than what I needed. I really like them. They were honest. I got a way better deal. It was a sweet deal. They are certified by our local electricity company and know how to do the paperwork. I changed out all of the plates for the vents. I also got some new filter system that went with it. It was heating and air. The system that I got is programmable from my phone which the other folks weren’t offering. If I am couple of hours away from home I can crank up the AC and have at the right temperature when I get there. If I am in a foreign country and I forgot to turn the heat off, I can do it from my phone. That was not extra. They were early. I figured that they are going to be here by 7:30 or something like that, they got here 12 minutes ahead.

This is the third system we've had installed in the last 40 years. We have used Buckley Heat and Air, (now Buckley Parnell) each time and are now dealing with the third generation of Buckley's. They are truly the epitome of good old fashioned business people where their word is their bond. They have serviced our systems over the years and last year John Buckley told us to expect to upgrade our system within the next year or two. Our system was getting old and no longer efficient and would soon be costing us more in repairs than it was worth. He emphasized that although the new system would be expensive, the dollars saved in its efficiency would be cost effective. He also reminded us that our local electric company would finance 100% of the cost and give us a substancial rebate also. He estimated the cost to be "around $15000.00". All of this was "off the cuff" with no paperwork in front of him. When he later wrote up the actual order he was within $101.00 of the estimate. We set a date and time, he called when the crew was on their way. The entire crew arrived and were here all day and into the early evening. Everything was cleaned up and both John and Jake Buckley made sure the new thermostat worked the that we knew how to set it. The new system is so quiet, you hardly know it's running. We are very, very pleased once again with how professional they all were. Everyone in the crew knew what they were doing and did it well. We would recommend them to anyone. They deserve a 5 Star rating.
