Good! It was a unique situation with out of date system. They also helped fix my gas fireplace remote for free!

They were thorough, and they gave me some extra information that I needed. They did a good job. In fact, they're coming back for my free checkup next month.

They had a good reputation and my family members have used them. Their estimate was fair. John Buckley did a good job at explaining to us what needed to be done. He had decided that instead of enlarging the air return that he would replace the fluid instead. He just did it and did not check with me first. I had wanted to install a programmable thermostat, but after some homework I found that it would not be doable. He said that it could and tried to install one. It did not work. Then he called Trane to find out that it would not work. They did not charge us for that, but now we have spliced wires. A week all of the work, the unit did not seem to be working, and they did come out to look at it for free.

They did a very good job. It was just done in the end of October so I am still checking it out.

Just after the foggy, cool Thanksgiving holiday, my furnace stopped working. I had a contractor diagnose the problem, but was dismayed when I was told it would cost more than $1,700 to fix the problem. So, I called Buckley Parnell for a second opinion, based on their rave reviews on Angie's List. Dan showed up on time, and diagnosed the problem as a burnt out circuit board. He ordered the part, and returned the next day to install it. In doing so, he found that the inducer motor also had shorted out (to be fair, the original contractor had told me the motor was shorted out - but he also had said the fan motor needed to be replaced, which was not true). Anyway, the parts suppliers that Dan contacted said they couldn't get a new motor for 3 weeks! Dan took the old motor AND the old circuit board and drove to the parts company to find something he could make work. He not only located the correct replacement parts, he determined that my unit was under warranty, so the parts were replaced for free - I just paid the labor. On his third visit in two days, Dan had my furnace working perfectly. By taking the initiative to locate the correct parts and doing some investigating, Dan save me more than $400 - by his estimate - for the replacement parts; he saved me over $1,300 in parts and labor based on the estimate I got from the other contractor. He was professional, courteous and personable through out the multiple trips into my attic and across town.

They did an excellent job. The prices were very reasonable and also were able to offer me a reasonable maintenance prices as well. Kevin was very nice to work with as well.

We called several different HVAC companies, and although some were less expensive, Buckley Parnell came across as the most professional and helpful. Everyone we talked to was nice and everything went smoothly.

They were quick to come(came the same day)and very professional. The technician was great about explaining everything and answering all of our questions about the problem and our system in general. Highly recommend!

Technician was rude and I had difficulty persuading him to change my air filter for my HAVOC. He also tried to charge me for the general maintenance that I already paid for in advance. Spent 15 minutes and was charged $120.00.

I thought they were great. They came at the time they said they would and they were very friendly. They gave us advice on how to maintain the units to avoid problems and it was very useful.

The service technician, Dan Millar, was professional and friendly. He was able to immediately diagnose what was wrong when he opened up the panel of the unit outside. He replaced a "bad 30 amp pole contactor" and the system worked. He also showed my husband how to clean the sides of the unit by using a water hose, something we'd never done before. We paid the bill using our Visa card. The next day I noticed that there was an error on the bill and when I called Chris at the office, she fixed it immediately. Chris was very friendly and sent me a corrected statement on the same day. She has very nice customer service skills. So, the bill covered $93 for the service call, $38.48 for the part and $80 for labor (1/2 hr). The company charges $160/hr for labor. I am glad Dan was able to troubleshoot the problem immediately!

They have excellent customer service. They communicate clearly so that you have a clear understanding of what the issue is and what your options are. They have reasonable pricing.

Their service person showed up on time, diagnosed the problem and replaced the capacitor. It only took about 45 minutes. He was courteous, friendly, and professional He also said that they will come out again within 30 days for free if there's another problem. We weren't sure what the problem was before calling, so we did not have a quote before the visit, but I think the final charge was entirely fair for the work done. We were informed about the minimum service call charge at the time that the appointment was set. We will absolutely call them for any future problems.

From the 1st visit by Brian Groom to explain our options, we were impressed by this company. The installers arrived on time and were very efficient, cleaning up after themselves as they worked. The old duct work was removed and the new installed very quickly. The new furnace was installed quickly and up to code (verified later by the inspector). They provided us heaters the one night our furnace was down. The air conditioner unit was installed neatly on a pad and we were given instructions on the thermostat. We highly recommend this company. (They were not out just to sell, but to please the customer and provide service.)

Brian Buckley and his nephew Brandon Buckley arrived on time and checked out our two furnace units. One was not working properly and they replaced the control board. The Buckley's are very professional and pleasant to do business with. This is the first time we have used Angie's List and it worked out great!

The service tech, Dan, was very professional and on the first day he did a thorough check. He said there would be no charge if they couldn't get the unit working. Two days later he returned to install a new circuit board (what he thought was the problem). He also showed us how the previous company had messed with the wiring and burned up the circuit board. He told us it would take about 2 1/2 hours to complete the work and he was right. We were very pleased with him and the job done. The only disappointing part was that he was an hour late on the 2nd visit and the office couldn't get hold of him. He apologized to us, but a phone call would have been appreciated.

We have used them before and have always been satisfied with them. They always show up on time and they are always nice and friendly. I also really like that they their time on the work that needs to be done.

I feel that they did an outstanding job on the installation for us. Their pricing was very reasonable and the quality of the work was very good as well. I absolutely recommend the to anyone in the greater Sacramento area.

Company very responsive and prompt. Technician Dan was very professional and friendly. After only a few minutes he had diagnosed the electrical failure and promptly repaired same. Would use him again without reservation.

We had several company's bid to replace the ducts. I had researched the SMUD sealant program. The other companies that gave bids, said that the sealant would be inappropriate, since the ducts will be new. However, Aldo explained that only the exposed ducts could be replaced. Aldo brought the SMUD application and helped us complete the form and submitted it for us. It was approved within a few days and the work was scheduled to be done a few days later. The ducts in the walls would definitely be improved with the sealant. He performed the SMUD air leakage test. SMUD paid for all but $25. We had a 40% air leakage. He said that we would be able to utilize our AC and Heat, without paying a large bill due to the sealant. The crew showed up exactly on time. They were professional and courteous. They laid drop cloths to protect our carpet and even cleaned our old vents and filter.

Technician diagnosed problem quickly but did not have part with him, so he returned the next day and installed it. He was courteous, professional and prompt.

Installers were knowledgeable and fast. Work promised and done in less than one day.

Installation was completed in 2002. Called back this year to inspect system to determine why A/C unit was running excessively. Representatives took care of problems covered under warranty and system is now working very well. Very responsive and capable staff.

I HAVE BEEN USING THEIR COMPANY FOR OVER TEN YEARS. I THINK THAT THEY DO EXCELLENT WORK, THEY ALWAYS COME OUT ON TIME AND THEY DO THE JOB IN A TIMELY MANNER. THEY ARE VERY HONEST AND THEY ARE HARD WORKERS.
