They are excellent. They are so good that I’ve added them to a commercial website that I have. I’ve recommended them to people who live in Sacramento. I've lived for about 2 decades in New York and the thing that’s important is the quality, price, honesty and being able to trust. Buckley Parnell has all those qualities. The people are very knowledgeable. They are not pushy. They answer questions and don’t make up answers. My master bedroom seemed like it was a little odd with the old system and I had to keep the thermostat higher and I talked about it and put in a new system. Brian was the person that I dealt with and he on his own put an extra register into the bedroom without an additional charge to make it cooler during the summer. I’ve never had anyone do that for me. He didn’t charge me for the material and the labor. He said that he would make it right. Their prices were comparable or a little less than the average price. I called about 6 different companies and of the 6, these people were fabulous. I would recommend them to anybody. I would use them again in the future if need be.

J. Buckley of the subject firm showed up during the appointed time, checked and serviced the outside condenser unit. He apprecieated the fact that I wished to keep the 16 year old unit operating at least one more season and he allowed that it might or might not make it. His service call lasted about an hour because he was thorough and did not spend time trying to sell a new unit. Very professional behavior was exhibited throughout.

John Buckley came out and it was the best money I have spent in a long time! He was incredibly professional and competent and went through a complete diagnostic of my A/C unit. It is in fine condition, it needed no refrigerant or cleaning or repairs and can potentially go for another 5-7 years before replacement. As they say in their business slogan "we're peace of mind" and I will attest to that feeling. I now feel confident that the A/C is fully functional and will pass any home inspection at the time of sale of my home. Thank you!

Excellent telephone conversation with service call specialist who got me a same-day appointment. Received call when technician was on his way. Technician cleaned and serviced the unit and checked out the entire system to ensure it was operating correctly. Truly an outstanding job.

One of the owners actually came out himself to do the job. He was very nice! We liked the service so much we signed up for annual maintainence with them.

It was an ideal experience. They did the work in less than a day. The new furnace and air conditioner were up and running by the afternoon. When they finished they left my house as clean as they found it. They even filled out the rebate forms for me and submitted them to the utility companies. More than once they told me they wanted me to be 100% satisfied. I am!

My Angie's List electrician, Dave Brannan, recommended Buckley Parnell, and the company's Angie's List rating confirmed they performed excellently. When I requested a quotation, the representative provided information about multiple brands (I replaced my 40 year old Trane heating and air conditioning system with another Trane). Explanations were also provided concerning available energy rebates and potential tax credits. Of particular importance was the timing of the workers -- they needed to work around the schedule of my 93 year old mother. Buckley Parnell was very accommodating and performed the work so that we didn't have to modify our schedules. The workers showed us the old duct work as they took it out and explained what they were doing during all phases. They were very good about cleaning up (compared to the City inspectors). Following the installation, I was provided with instruction in programming the thermostat and other features. With a few weeks, I received a follow-up visit and was given a binder with all information about the equipment, installation, rebate applications (they had submitted all paperwork for me). It has been six months since installation and the system functions efficiently and quietly; staff was just here to clean the furnace filter. It was well worth the money, and with professional staff like these, having a major project like this completed was a pleasure.

I spent $300 on that work. They were good and I recommended them to someone else and they were happy too. Their price was reasonable and they fixed something extra and did not charge extra for that.

They cleaned and vacuumed everything when they left. They gave us service on the new thermostat. They were on time, professional, clean, wonderful. Mr. Parnell was the one who came out and gave us the talk. Very professional, I would go with them again in a heart beat.

I highly recommend using this company. Their customer service is top-notch. Brian Groom provided the estimate, fully explained my different options, and patiently answered all my questions. He also ensured that all required inspections and permitting were scheduled and completed after installation. The installation crew was courteous and professional. It was a stormy day and they made sure that my carpets were covered and protected from the rain and mud as they had to be both outside and in the attic for the installation.

I like being warm. My original HVAC system (tried) to heat the whole house at once with the only thermostat upstairs. The downstairs would always be 10-12 degrees colder. If I closed all the vents upstairs, I could get the difference down to 6-7 degrees, which was still pretty uncomfortable. A couple of the vents upstairs still put out so much air, that I blocked them completely with aluminum foil. Then in the summer, I'd have to open all the vents upstairs and close all the ones downstairs. The temperature difference was still there, but I tolerated it better since it was warmer overall. I got bids from two other companies before Buckley Parnel; both wanted to gut about a third of my existing system and charge between $7-13K. The price, I actually could have lived with, but it bothered me so much that I would be basically throwing away a large piece of an otherwise working system. Brian Groom proposed simply adding the zone system and at a price I really liked. He informed me that my system would be oversized after the zoning, and would likely wear out faster than it would otherwise. But in the end, it made sense to me to repair/replace the system after it wore out, rather than now. And with the zone system, I could get a smaller, cheaper system in the future. Brain also came out a week later to make some adjustments after using the system and made it clear he would come out again if we need adjustments when the AC kicks in. The best part of the experience with Brian and this team was that they are very professional and personable. They took the time to even talk to my two little boys and answer a billion questions from my three and half year old. They also cleaned up everything and left little or no trace that they were there. The temperature difference is now only 1-2 degrees between the upstairs and downstairs. I love it.

They were just excellent. They were very timely in their responsive. They were helpful in selecting the proper heating and air conditioning unit for the home. I was extremely pleased.

A horrible smell emerges out, after the heater reaches a certain temperature. Then the representative of Buckley Parnell Heat & Air recommended something to avoid the smell and I tried the same. I was satisfied with his suggestion as it worked and there was no smell after that. They were very responsive and prompt. They never charged me for the consultation, even when I offered to pay. I may not get the work done as the problem seems to be resolved. If required, I will use their services in future.

My 11 year old furnace has been going out every year for the last 3 years. I've had other companies out but they have never been able to fix the problem. 3 months into the winter season and I have had no heat in my house. I've been heating by fireplace. I finally broke down and called Buckley. The service tech arrived before his scheduled time to arrive which was perfect for me. They called to say he was on his way which was wonderful. He quickly diagnosed the problem, finding it to be a cleaning issue and the heater is running beautifully. He was extremebly informative and showed me and my son how to fix the problem ourselves should it occur again. THe tech was very nice and with 17 years of experience, I felt he was extremely knowledgable. I've just found my new heating and air company for sure.

It turned out that all we needed was a battery for our thermostat, but the man they sent out throughly checked out our heating system, and even went up into the attic to check out the vents. It turned out that the vent to our bedroom was closed, allowing no heat to the room. If he hadn't taken the time to check this out we would have never known why our bedroom was so cold.

The air conditioner was quite a bit better than the previous one. The house is more than 30 years old and had the original air conditioner. The price was a little high but the financing was done by SMUD and they required a more expensive unit. They followed up a couple of times to see if everything was running okay. It is a family owned business. The man was a family member and he was courteous and helpful. He took his time explaining things. I would highly recommend them.

The blower on my 15 year old heating unit would not shut off. I called late in the day on Tuesday for service and scheduled an appointment for Wednesday afternoon. Dan arrived approximately at 1PM, climbed into the attic and had the problem diagnosed within a few minutes. He did not have the replacement part so he made an extra trip back to his offoce and returned and fixed our problem. He was very courteous and professional. It was a very good experiance. I will definitely use there service againm for any future probelms.

Brian was very thorough and clear in his discussion and recommendation. He did not make any effort to push me towards "the top of the line". The installation team of Jake and Jimmy arrived on time and worked diligently to finish the installation on time. They left the house in perfect condition. Brian and Chelsea at the office made sure the City inspector came the next day so they could submit my application for the State rebate while funds are still available. As the inspector told me, when the job is done right, he just needs a few minutes, but if it's done wrong, he's here forever. He was in and out in a very short time, saying everything looked perfect. The company is handling all the various rebate submissions to PG&E, SMUD, the manufacturer and the State. With the tax incentive included, I will end up paying a bit over $5,000 for the system. I couldn't be more pleased with the service, responsiveness and dedication to doing the best possible job shown by everyone I dealt with at Buckley Parnell.

The unit installed is eligible for rebates from the state and utilities. Buckley-Parnell staff submitted, to the various agencies all applications and related documentation. Have already received one rebate. Also staff obtained the building permit and air systems certification and coordinated both inspections. Buckley-Parnell was very professional. Estimated time to complete the job was right on. The recommended unit works very well and should result in a significant reduction in energy costs. Overall very satisfied.

We are in the middle of a major remodelling project. John was simply the best contractor we had on the job. His work was below the estimate, he offered solutions that saved us thousands of dollars and his knowledge of our system was extraordinary given its age. Our system now runs as if it where brand new and we will certainly use Buckley Parnell again, and we strongly recommend them to those that was to work with true professionals.

My original unit was 18 years old and worked ok but during heavy rains my roof would leak. They tried to fix the old unit but couldn?t guarantee that it wouldn?t leak again. The only solution was a new unit and a proper roof cap. The original unit was not installed to the highest standards. They were fast efficient and professional. You couldn?t have asked for a better job.

The work was performed as promised; on time, neatly, professionally, with genuine concern for our satisfaction. Procedures were explained in detail, and we were always kept in the loop re: work progress. A good deal of existing duct that was in serious disrepair, was voluntarily replaced with new materials even though it was not in the original price. Post installation follow-up calls were made to ascertain our satisfaction with the unit's operation, and to assist with a few thermostat tweaks.

The airconditioner on our house was not performing as well as I thought it should and I called Buckley Parnell to request that they make a service call to check the system. I mistakenly scheduled a doctor's visit for the same time. They were very gracious about my mistake and made arrangements to reschedule the service call. The technician, Dan Miller, arrived and checked the system over. He serviced the system and added freon then confirmed that the system was working properly. Dan made several excellent suggestions on ways to improve the system and reduce costs in the future.

The service person arrived on time and appeared to be quite thoroug and knowledgeable of the unit. He did not try to "up sell" me and said my current unit was in good shape and adequate for the size of my home.
