Description of Work: I have used them to install a 5 ton propane furnace/air conditioner on a pad outside the home. They installed a 3 zone controller and thermostats and an extra vent. They even provided smoke detectors! They have been maintaining it ever since with twice annual checkup and cleaning.

Description of Work: Total replacement of our 14 year old central HVAC system with American Standard Silver XI 16SEER 5-ton 2-stage compressor; matching coil; F100 media air cleaner; Gold series variable speed 80% AFUE heater; Honeywell 2-zone dampers; 2 touch screen thermostats; internet gateway to allow remote thermostat control/monitoring.

Description of Work: I used the provider for a Big Deal because I thought I would be getting special services above and beyond what I get from my usual provider (Garick). Buckley Parnell's service was okay, but not quite as good as Garick's. For example, they did not come out with their own filters to change -- I had to go out and get them myself after they left | |The date of service above is incorrect -- it's been a long time; I don't remember nor do I remember the cost

Description of Work: We had a new HVAC unit installed after a visit from Brian (the estimator). Everyone who came in contact with us was extremely professional and courteous. The unit was installed in less than 4 hours and we had AC before the heat of the day began. Thank you Brian and everyone at Buckley-Parnell

Description of Work: I made my appointment last week because I knew the hot weather would be soon upon us. An appointment was made for 7/2/13 between 8 am and noon. I received a telephone call today (7/1/13) stating the appointment must be rescheduled to next week; due to the extreme hot weather and others needing services, more important than mine. Mine was a routine maintenance. Dan, was out in June 2012 and I wanted a check-up for all to be in place; it shouldn't take long. I do believe Buckley Parnell is rewarding those who call last minute; rather than keeping established commitments . It is as if "something better came up" and they took it; rather than fulfilling their agreed upon promise. I am disappointed. To leave a tried and true customer for another, when the service call was confirmed; is not professional nor ethical. The service call would have taken only moments. This is not the type of service relationship I want. I want someone who will keep their commitments and make it work out. And not jump ship when something better (more money) comes along.

Description of Work: My home had an uneven heating problem, some rooms were to hot and others did not have enough heat. I contacted three heating and air conditioning contractors listed on Angie's List. All three contractors provide written estimates. Two the contractors wanted to replace all of the duct work and possibly create 2 heating and cooling zones. Brian Groom from Buckley Parnell came out, climbed into the attic and found one initial problem right away, a clogged return air filter. He explained that most of the duct work looked in good shape and of sufficient size to service the home. He suggested increasing the size of the return air duct, relocated the a supply duct to increase the flow to the farthest room, added dampers to better control the air flow in the supply ducts and added full flow registers to the farthest room. This was a very satisfactory solution and was 20 percent of the other two bids. I highly recommend Buckley Parnell Heat and Air.

Description of Work: I wrote a review some months ago they came to my house. I would use these people again and again because they are professional, punctual and practical. They are not out to get the most money from you but to give you the best possible service at the most reasonable price. I have had them here about 3 times over a period of 2/3 years for regular maintenance work. I use them because they saved me so much money the first time around when a prior company wanted me to pay $500 or more for work that only cost $99 with this company.

Description of Work: We have been using Buckley's for 30 plus years. We have had three heating/air units from them in that time. Our family has used them too and everyone has been more than satisfied. They are always courteous, on time and reasonable in price. They've told us when we didn't need to change a thing and when we should prepare for a change. We've been acquainted now with the third generation of the family and all of them are wonderful. We would never use any other company.

Description of Work: The question is $73 or $7,000? In August, I had another company (unnamed) service my air conditioner/heater unit which was 5 months ago. They returned for a maintenance check-up this month and said I need a new furnace based on rust that now exist on the heat exchanger. The $7,000 or so estimate threw me for a loop since the house is only 10 years old, the heater is working fine and nothing had been mentioned at the August servicing. The service man warned me about carbon monizide poisoning and told me I would get a discount if the work was agreed to within the next couple of days. Red flags went up with that and after several phone calls to ask me about putting in the new unit, I began to feel like I was being attacted by highly trained High Pressure Sales people wich created more doubt. I checked with Angie's List and saw the company unnamed was rated with a D!! I know, I should have checked before using them in August. Seeing that Buckley Parnell had an A rating, I scheduled an appointment for a diagnostic service. The service man said he saw nothing except surface rust and nothing that waved a red flag to him, nothing. He was prompt, professional and very clear in his explanation. He was reassuring that there was nothing to be alarmed about. With the $20 discount from Angie's list, I spent $73. I love you, Angie!

Description of Work: Back in May 2010 I bought a Trane heating and air unit from Buckley Parnell and had them install the unit. The service was great and they did a good job of installing the unit. Since then, I've had the unit serviced by Buckley Parnell for regular maintenance as required. I'm somewhat disappointed that the service call I made last week for my scheduled maintenance was cancelled the day of the appointment. The appointment was to be between 8am and 12pm. I wasn't informed until almost 9am. I wish I would have been notified the day before or at least prior to the time frame scheduled. Most people know in advance when they have jury duty. Just a little disappointed. They came highly recommended when I bought my unit. Not happy in Sacramento

Description of Work: Diagnostic call = $93.00 Replace 115 volt blower 3/4-1/5 = $204.87 Replace 10 MFD run capacitor 43.19 Labor (1.25 hrs) = 230.00 Sales Tax = 19.22 Total = $590.28 I called on July 6 about midday, and was told the next day was the earliest opportunity and the price of the diagnostic call. I was further told she would call when the technician was on his way. She called with the notification and when he arrived, he handed me his business card, and proceeded with the steps necessitated by my AC's inoperability.
