Description of Work: David was a great guy. He helped me through determining whether to replace or refurbish a bathroom ventilation fan. David referred me to another electrician as he was not available to do the work if I chose to hire an electrician. The other electrician was great too and very helpful and HONEST (like Dave). Through Dave's help, I was able to determine a path forward that worked best for me. Dave also followed up with me a few days later to see that my needs were met. I was surprised that he cared enough to ensure I was taken care of. Well worth your time to talk to Dave regarding electrical needs.

Description of Work: Came to the rescue on a last minute emergency. Power in our washroom went out, tried everything possible, had to call Brannan. He repaired some circuit breakers. Went very well, very friendly, did the work, for a last minute call on the same day. Called at 11, showed up at 1.

Description of Work: Dave deserve all of the 400+ ratings- I called regarding an electrical switch in kitchen-after describing the issue he gave very simple instructions for fixing the kitchen light-not only did he save me $150 -he ask me to call him back to let him know lights were working-I will have him complete my next project of recess lighting for kitchen area-Mr Brennan restores my faith in honest business people-He will always do my electrical.

Description of Work: Mr. Brannan answered the phone when I called and was willing to adjust his schedule to be able to help me meet a closing deadline by repairing a few outlets in different rental units cited in the inspection report. He arrived on time, cheerfully explained the the various issues, and fixed the outlets. He did not complicate the situation and charged a fair price.

Description of Work: This is the second time I have used Brannan Electric. I had a problem with my circuit breaker. Based on my description of the problem, he surely knew how simple the issue was and could have charged me for a service call and the installation of a new breaker circuit, as many other providers would have. He didn't. Instead, over the phone he walked me through the steps to recheck the breaker and reset it. Turned out I didn't need a new breaker after all. Brannan Electric save me about $150 and showed me what an honest repairman is. Thank you Brannan Electric. You are my go to from now on for all my electrical needs!

+ 0 moreDave gave us a written estimate and presented insurance and license documentation on his first visit. Solo contractor and does all the work himself. He called us the next week to do the installation. His first job of the day ran longer than expected, so he called us no less than 3 times to tell us that he was running a bit late. We REALLY appreciated this since most contractors don't seem to call you when they're late. He installed the chandeliers and re-wired a cabinet which required another electrical outlet install. Foyer light was hanging from a ceiling 16 feet high which made access difficult. Instead of complaining or doing a half-hearted job, he went up and down the ladder until he felt completely satisfied with the work. So it went for all the others. He is a perfectionist and asked our approval "to make sure everything's right". Very honest. Did not take our money though we attempted to overpay him. Even offered to come back if "anything he did needed adjustment".
Description of Work: Am a new home owner and have had to hire several contractors for various projects to complete our home. David Brannan is, bar none, the best contractor I have ever worked with. He is very honest and clearly enthusiastic about his job. Hard to find such a combination in someone who has so much experience and an obvious vast array of knowledge. He removed and replaced 3 chandeliers and re-wired cabinet lights which required establishing another electrical outlet on the other side of the wall. One of the chandeliers was hanging from 16 feet in the air and was difficult to access.

+ -1 moreDave Brannan responded to our phone call quickly. Although there was a slight delay due to personal reasons, Dave kept in contact with us and followed through with his appointment. Dave is VERY knowledgeable about anything electrical. We could tell that he takes pride in what he does and will not do a poor job. He was respectful of what we wanted and made helpful suggestions on the best options. We are very pleased with our new ability to turn on the landscape and deck lights from inside the house! We hope to use Dave Brannan's services for future electrical needs.
Description of Work: Mr. Brannan installed an GFCI outlet outside our deck and ran wiring to an inside switch for our outdoor landscaping lights.

Description of Work: Part of our power in the house wasn't working and he came out and replaced the reset switch and checked everything out. He also went around and showed me items that wouldn't pass inspection for my house to be sold. He showed me items that I may be able to save some money if I do it myself.

+ -1 moreThis was a follow up visit. He was finishing up the work he had already started when he got sick. Mr. Brannon seems to be a very good electrician. He is very friendly. He is not cheap, but you get what you pay for. He's not always on time, but he was sick when he was doing this work, which I'm sure played a part in that. I would not hesitate to use him again.
Description of Work: I had a problem with an over load on an electrical plug. Mr. Brannon did the investigating that it took to change things around so that there was not an overload on the box. I no longer have the circuit breaker box turning off when the microwave and oven are both turned on. He also installed a motion light.
