Brannan Electric

I called him Tuesday and he called me back Tuesday night to tell me when he would be here Wednesday morning. He was on time and he did the job! He was competent and clean and neat. He showed us his papers. He gave me a senior discount as well as an Angie's List discount! He was excellent!

I chose Brannan Electric because the company was an "A" company and it had received an award from Angie's List. I called and Dave spoke with my husband and tried to walk him through installing the fan/light since my husband was unable to, but I needed the installation sooner than later. Dave offered to assist me on Saturday. He was running late and kept me informed as to his arrival time. His work was completed within 2 hours (1/2 hr more than he estimated because we asked him to correct some wiring in the hallway). He was neat, the work looks great and we'd use him again. Oh, almost forgot, he also gave us a 10% discount because I found his name on Angie's List. That was a surprise, because we do not fall under the senior citizen discount!

We selected Dave's company because of his many other satisfied customers on Angie's List, and he didn't disappoint. He was very good about responding to our email, arrived on schedule, was highly professional throughout, completed the work quickly and efficiently, made sure everything was left neat and tidy, and charged us a fair price (after giving us an Angie's List discount and one for being seniors). He was courteous and friendly throughout the whole process.

The project went very well. Dave first had to satisfy himself that there was no alternative to going through the cabinet walls. Once he concluded that there wasn't he worked efficiently to get the job done. What I particularly appreciated was that the job had to be done over the Thanksgiving weekend.

Great! Dave is punctual and starts to work immediately. He makes helpful suggestions. Instead of replacing the bathroom fan, which I anticipated needed doing, he oiled the motor which corrected the noise it was making. He took only a short time to replace the outlets and light switch and the new front porch light. His fees are very reasonable and fair and I will call him for any additional electrical work in the future.

VERY prompt service and repair (including getting needed circuit breaker). Returned calls quickly (including weekend call), arrived at stated times, accurate pre-estimates with explanations. I usually don't give out A's.

Dave was very fast and efficient. He tested everything thoroughly when he was done. He said it was a better light panel than any new one and would last another 20 years. He was very pleasant and courteous. He cleaned up part of the discarded, cut parts of cord, but I offered to clean the rest since it was such a small amount. He was accommodating in making an appointment that suited me. It was for 10 AM. At 9:30, he left a message that he was running late and estimated he would be here in a half hour. At that time, he called again and said he would be a little longer and would probably arrive at 11 AM, which he did. He called a few minutes before arrival to let me know he was on the way. I think it's more important to him to do a really thorough job than the time.

The electrical inspection was helpful and Dave fixed the bathroom ventilation fan as part of the inspection. Dave is a very knowledgeable electrician and is concerned with saving the customer money.

It was a relief to have a potentially serious problem professionally repaired. I appreciated that Dave worked very hard to identify the problem and try to solve it simply while keeping safety foremost. When that couldn't be done and the power to several rooms in our house had to be off overnight, Dave rearranged his schedule so that the job could be completed the next morning. I'm so glad to know that everything has been done correctly. Dave will also make you laugh the whole time-a great guy. He is also committed to the promotion of licensed contractors which can only lead to better and more reliable service.

Mr. Brannan diagnosed the problem and was able to obtain the needed parts, which he picked up, came back the next day and installed and gave the rest of the circuit breakers in the box a visual inspection. Professional and courteous service a reliable electrician who you can trust to do the job right. He also followed up with a phone call to make sure everything was as promised. Gave me the name of company where I can get Zinzco Breakers if I need them. Would not hesitate to recommend to friends and neighbors.

Very Well. It was a difficult job (20ft slanted ceiling). Other electricians did not want to attempt job.

Job 1: He did a fantastic job. He explained how he was doing things the right way, not the easy way, so I m confident that his installations & repairs will last. He is very knowledgeable abt safety & electrical requirements. He let us know that he is licensed/insured. Work completed in abt 1-1/2 days. He kept in contact by phone abt arrival time, & that we had purchased the correct lighting fixtures & other things that would meet our needs. For the amt of work that he did, & the care w/which he did it, his price was very fair. Job 2: 2nd time we ve used this co. He s very professional. I m confident that the job was done properly. He advised as to which of our 2 prong outlets could be easily switched to grounded outlets & which couldnt. He found that some of our existing 3 prong outlets weren't actually grounded. He advised us as to the cost of grounding the ungrounded outlets & we decided to go w/having the easier outlets changed only, which gave us at least 1 grnd outlet in each rm.

I got a number for Brannan Electric from Angie's List. I contacted David Brannan and talked about my needs. He had me fax a copy of the home inspection so he would know what to expect. When David arrived he showed me his certification, credentials and proof workmans comp. We went through the house methodically, based on the findings of the home inspector. David was able to "resolve" the majority of the issues that were noted by the original home inspector. I received a quote within 48 hours for the outstanding electrical issues that were too large to fix on the spot.

I was very surprised at how satisfactory everything turned out.

David did excellent work. He did a complete check on the main electrical box to ensure the outlets were powered. He changed out the bathroom outlet for a GFI outlet. He changed the outlet by the stream pump and got the pump running. And he replaced the old motion detector with a new one. All the while explaining his efforts as he went to ensure my understanding. It was very helpful. I would definitely call on him again and recommend him to my friends.

It was great! David came out on pretty short notice because my freezer was on the failed circuit. I had been having intermittent problems with the electrical circuit in the garage. Intermittently, the freezer would run and the garage door would be able to be opened. David came out and replaced the GFCI and the breaker for the garage. I also complained about intermittent outages in the kitchen, so he replaced the breaker for the kitchen. David lists his rates up front, and they might appear higher than other electricians, but he tried to help me fix my problem first over the phone which he wouldn't charge for. When that didn't work he came over to the house and fixed the problem quickly. His hourly rate might be higher, but he works so much more quickly than other electricians, so the total cost is less.

He was prompt, efficient, and has a sense of humor which makes everything more enjoyable. He was totally upfront regarding charges and the discounts he would be giving me for mentioning Angie's List and the fact that I'm a senior. He asked if there were any other electrical problems I wanted him to look at and he also checked the circuit panel and an outside motion light.

The response was immediate and Dave was very knowledgeable and helpful and resolved the issue. He also explained the problem and gave some great suggestions to help avoid repeat problems.

Very responsive to our request. Timely and courteous. Excellent communications when he was delayed. Installed new wiring and lamps. Would not hesitate to use Dave again. In fact, I'm going to have him do another project shortly.

He came promptly and called us twice to let us know when he would be arriving. He only charged us half of the service call because the work could not be accomplished.

The work was done very neatly. David explained the GFI outlets in my bathrooms. I thought they were missing. David showed me where the GFI outlet was for the bathrooms, and explained how they work. I was very satisfied with the work. David was a little late, but more than made up for it with a tardiness discount!

David was very prompt in responding to my request (same day) and set up a timely appointment (within the week). He successfully diagnosed the problem with the security light and had all the parts with him to fix it on the spot. He was great about showing me how to replace smoke detector batteries on my own and didn't laugh about the request in the first place :-). He also showed me how he fixed the doorbell so I can maintain it going forward. He wisely pointed me back to my appliance warranty terms to fix my range light, which showed he was looking out for my pocketbook. Overall, his service was great, & I appreciate that he was willing to help me with several small ticket items. I found his company on Angie's List. This was the first time I've used his company, and I would go back for future requests.

David returned my call promptly, gave me a referral, and we had a very pleasant informative conversation.

David really communicates with his customers. He took a lot of time to discuss the situation on the phone before he ever came out, and he stayed in contact with me so I knew exactly when he was going to arrive. In fact, he was very responsive, and able to fit me into his schedule the day after I initially called him. Not only is he an excellent electrician, but he also takes the time to explain to you what he is doing, and help you learn how to do it yourself, if you're interested. He's got great energy and a great personality, and you can tell he genuinely cares about his customers and his business. In addition to all this, he followed up several times to make sure everything was working. All in all, he's an experienced professional and a fun guy to boot!
