He answered all of our questions about light bulbs for the recessed lighting, examined all of the electrical in the attic. While up there, he reattached the bathroom fan hose (the hose from the bathroom had detached), so now we have a functioning bathroom fan. He also fixed the outlet in the floor without damaging the hard wood floors. He found that there were no issues with the electrical in the house, and that the improper splices were actually remnants of old wire that had been left in the attic. I really appreciated that he was so clear with his explanations.

He did a very good job. He even entertained my wife while he was here. He was very polite and professional.

I wanted to try to get this done ASAP so that I can proceed with moving cabinets to prepare for a scheduled countertop installation where date was moved up a week. I did my research and felt Mr. Brannan was a good match for this job because of the reviews on Angie's List and confirmation of his license/insurance information via the Contractors State License Board. I placed a call today and left a thorough message. He called me back within 10 or 15 minutes. After confirming the details of the job (should be fairly easy) and his estimate of cost, he responded that he believed be would be able to do the job by the end of today (which made me happy to hear). He is a very good communicator. He kept me informed with a couple of calls about when he would finish another job to be available to come here and when he would arrive, and he was accurate in his estimation. He was pleasant, friendly, talkative, and went right to work. Within about an hour the job was completed and looked great. I am so very pleased that he was able to get to this project today, and he did a wonderful job. Now I can commence with moving cabinets. My husband enjoyed talking to him as they shared a common interest in reading, authors, and science fiction.

David kept me posted when he was delayed at a previous job, and got to my house promptly at the revised time. He surveyed the electrical outlets and checked for GFIs. At all times he kept me appraised of what he was looking for and how it was done. He then added two exterior/covered GFI outlets, then checked the entire system. He opened the circuit breaker and found one circuit improperly wired. He fixed it. All the while, David showed me what he was doing, and explained why. Since his visit, he has called a couple of times to make sure that the work was holding up. While David was a bit chatty, his work was excellent. I thought the price for parts was a bit high, but no so much that it distracted from what appears to have been a quality job.

Everything went well. He had some trouble at the previous job so he kept in touch with me and let me know when he was running behind. We ended up rescheduling the next day. He arrived on time and got everything taken care of. He also called after the service call to ensure that everything was working properly still. He did a good job and was very friendly. I would use him again.

We were hearing a weird buzzing sound in one of our living room walls so called this company based on Angie's list reviews. The staff was professional and courteous and we were able to schedule a appointment pretty quickly. The technician who came out thoroughly checked everything out but of course as it usually works out the buzzing sound did not occur when he was there. But he was very helpful and offered to come back asap if it reoccurred at half their usual rate. The buzzing sound did not occur again before we moved out of this property, but we found the customer service to come back at a discounted rate to be great and the technician was very personable. Also, they gave us a 10% Angie's List discount, which was also nice. Would definitely use this company again for our electrical needs.

I really appreciated this contractor's honesty and help to find another contractor for me.

Dave was referred by Robert Harmon, a home inspector who I believe was very thorough and honest. The home was built around 1956 and much of the wiring is older. Because of the necessity of changing out the outlet for a window air conditioner, I contacted Dave who is very knowledgeable. He gave me a time frame for his arrival and when he couldn't quite make it he had the courtesy to call and say he would be delayed. He then assessed the situation and addressed the problem of changing the outlet to one that work and also one that would be safe. He also noted that an exterior outlet was not GFIC protected and that was added to the originally contemplated work. Because of the age and configuration of that outlet, the box had to be extended. To save money, I went to the hardware store and purchased needed parts, while he went off the clock and had lunch. He also checked the balance of the GFIC outlets throughout the hose to be sure that they functioned properly. He also gave advice on what was unnecessary in order to save money without compromising safety. The labor was 21/2 hours and the charge for the GFIC outlet, the specialized outlet for the air conditioner and the connectors for the outlet wires (which were needed) came to $40.00. Prior to commencing work, he indicated his hourly rate and that parts would be extra.

I called him to have him do some electrical repair. He was actually able to walk me through the process over the phone.

It went very well. He did a fine job. He had a good price and he matched the estimate so that was good.

A tenant contacted us via email with a concern re: a hot wall socket that worked and all other sockets in their bdrm and bathroom were not working. We called Dave and explained the situation, because of the tenants' email and our concern re a hot socket. He offered info about what the tenant needed to do to reset breaker and he followed up for the next 2 days for an update on the status of this breaker issue; unfortunately I could not provide a status because my tenants never gave us an update on "it's working; it's not working send an electrical over!" Thanks Dave!

He did not treat me like the little woman who didn't know anything. Instead, he treated me with respect and he gained my trust. He did this work within an hour, so I was only charged for one hour of labor and parts. He was very responsive, followed through, and explained the process. He showed me what would happen if I hadn't had the repairs. I've had two electricians that have come out before and never noticed it. He made my home safe, as the problems with the wiring could've caused a fire. It was well worth it, and I will refer him to others and call him again myself.

appointed time and went to work. As it turns out, the old electrical system in the house was not straight-forward and took some detective work on Dave's part to figure out what was happening. Through persistence and an obvious depth of experience, Dave sorted out the problem and fixed it. It was a warm day and the work was difficult, but Dave maintained a pleasant upbeat attitude throughout and he has a terrific sense of humor.

My husband, Barry, was busy installing an exhaust fan in a bathroom of a rental but it would not work. He asked me to find an electrician to come out and help find the problem. He needed to get the job done as soon as possible in order to get the house rented. I checked on Angie's List and left messages with a couple of other electricians but Dave answered his phone. I briefly explained the problem and asked him to call Barry which he did immediately. Dave was able to advise him over the phone, saving Barry lots of money for which he is extremely grateful! Unfortunately the previous tenant who had lived in the house had smoked in the house - specifically spelled out in the lease a non-smoking house - that has caused much damage and costly fixes. Thank you Dave - we will surely use you in the future!

Although Brannan Electric could not perform the task I needed I would definitely call them back for any other Electrical needs. Also very professional & returned my call immediately.

I had previously diagnosed the problem as the timer switch which was no longer necessary. He removed the switch and used wire nuts to complete a circuit. Be prepared for sticker shock when he quotes you his hourly rates.

They did a really good job. Hes a really nice guy and did exactly what he said he was going to do. I had no problems.

After spending approximately 2.5 hours checking and replacing faulty parts, he recommended another trouble-shooting company. The problem was not completely reconciled. This AM the other team showed up and now the problem is completely fixed and I have power in all outlets.

I called Dave this morning about my exhaust fan and this afternoon it's already fixed. Dave showed up and gave me his card and introduced himself. He was great from the moment he walked in my door. He looked at my bathroom exhaust fan that hasn't been working for sometime now. He immediately went to work to fix the issue. He was great, very thorough and knowledgable. On top of him fixing the fan, he check my breaker box at no extra charge. He was very helpful, I would definitely recommend Dave to my family and friends.

Dave was amazing! He was courteous, knowledgeable, and friendly, but most importantly, he was very thorough. He even called the following day to make sure that everything was functioning properly. Rather than just assuming that we wanted things done a certain way, he made sure to let us know what he was doing and gave us cost saving options. I appreciate his honesty more than anything. I was actually considering having my electrical box redone because my house was built in the '60's, so he took a look at it and said that it was perfectly fine. A less honest person would have seen dollar signs and may have potentially taken advantage of my lack of electrical expertise. I'm really big on integrity and Dave has plenty to go around. I would recommend Brannan Electric any day!

It went great! He arrived on time, got the job done quickly, was very courteous and was dog friendly. I will definitely be calling him again for electrical needs.

I called them today and they were able to come out today. He was very honest and said that he could not do the job. He said he would assist in searching for other providers. He did however fix a few lights for me. He explained how everything worked and was very helpful. Even though he could not do my job, I still recommend him. If I ever need electrical help I will definitely be using him.

He was prompt professional and polite. called us back to be sure everything worked after our alarm system man came to repair unit that caused the burnout. I would definitely use him again.

Dave was later than planned but updated me promptly to let me know. He got to work right away and easily completed all our small projects. He noticed and quickly fixed a missing knockout on our AC box-an item we had not noticed or known needed fixing. We were happy with the quality of his work and happy to have a light at our outside gate! Dave is the perfect guy for small electrical jobs.
