+ -1 moreThey sprayed for ants and they sprayed all around the perimeter of the house and the yard. He sends me flayers with specials and I take advantage of that. He tells me in advance what he is going to do and where he is going to do it.

+ -1 moreWe've used them for about 13 years and we're happy with them! They're very punctual, polite, informative, and detailed in explaining their services. I've specifically asked if their spray is harmful to our lungs, and they said it was not. There's been one or two slight stains on the carpet, but overall, they're very good. I've tried other competitors to see how they add up and I think we'll end up staying with Alta Sierra Pest Control.
Description of Work: I had them spray for bugs, ants, spiders, and critters in and outside our house.

+ -1 moreCheryl answered my phone call and was very knowledgeable about how to deal with the problem, describing in detail what they do and why it is effective, and what to expect. In contrast, I called a few other places and the person answering the phone was not sure about their service and could not answer my questions. They were VERY RESPONSIVE as I asked if they could do same day service (heading out of town for the holidays) and Ray was able to fit me in and get the traps placed same day. Ray was very professional and friendly and showed up right on time as scheduled. Will need to monitor for the next few weeks to see how effective the service is at addressing the rat problem, but they get a big and quot;Aand quot; for responsiveness and their knowledge of the topic (and apparent experience) give me confidence that the rats will be banished soon. Would definitely recommend.
Description of Work: They set up 2 tamper-proof bait boxes to kill the roof rats that are getting into my attic -- one out on a balcony that looks like an ingress point for the rats, and one up in the attic.

He informed me, that the agreed to price would include not only my garage, but the interior of my home, as well as the exterior of the property. A pleasant surprise! Ray explained the service and guarantee of the job very well, and performed the task quickly and effeciently. A gentleman with a pleasing smile, a pleasant personality and a company he can be proud of ... look no further! ..
Description of Work: I called and requested a one-time service call, mainly desiring to have my double garage sprayed inside. The garage has gone unused, basically, for over 5 years, and none of the contents have been moved or organized. The very polite and professional woman who scheduled the appointment assured me the job could be performed in spite of the "obstacle course." I was quoted a price, which included a discount coupon displayed on line, and scheduled a date at my convenience within a couple of days.

He did a good job and explain what he did. Overall experience has been great. I wait for about a week to give review because my past experiences with other firms. It has been a week since Ray did the job, and I happily recommend his firm. This is the first firm from Angie List that I have a great experience.
Description of Work: My house was "invaded" by ants and spiders. They are everywhere, and I mean everywhere - carpet, coffee table, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, garage, etc.

+ -1 moreFrom start to finish the entire experience with Alta Sierra was excellent.
Description of Work: We have been having problems with vermin burrowing in our yard. Our cat has also been killing many small rodents, which we thought were rats. In addition, we thought we might have rats in our attic or other interior area(s), since animal scat has been depositing from a height of about 12 feet into our covered entry way outside our front door. I called Alta Sierra Pest Control and described this whole scenario. I spoke with both Cheryl and Ray, and Ray offered to come out to our house in El Dorado Hills and evaluate the situation. He arrived promptly at 8:00 a.m. the day after our phone conversation and concluded the following: Most likely there are bats, not rats, depositing the scat at our front door; and, most likely all of the burrowing in our yard is being done by "voles" (a.k.a. "meadow mice"). He examined one of the dead animals that our cat had killed and said that was a vole. Despite Ray's obvious expertise, he explained that Alta Sierra does not specialize in these kinds of exterior "critter" problems, nor can he guarantee a solution. Therefore, he did not want to take on this job and risk having a disappointed customer. He suggested a company we might call upon, and in the meantime gave us a quote for interior pest control. We are very grateful for Ray's analysis and now feel that we have a "plan of attack" to deal with these problems. Thank you Ray!

+ -1 moreI contacted Sierra Pest Control to spray some tress for an aphid infestation problem.Not a lot of pest control companies do tree spraying, so I was glad one that did.The receptionist was knowledgeable. She did have to contact me back to setup an appointment, but she did so with in a couple of hours. They were able to schedule it for the next day, conveniently in the morning before I went to work. The technician showed up on time, and was professional and knowledgeable. I originally was only going to get one tree sprayed, but he pointed out infestations on other trees on the property, and did them as well for an extra $15. It was fast, and extremely well priced. I plan on doing business with them in the future.
Description of Work: Sprayed all of my trees for aphids.
