The technician arrived right on time. It turned out that a gear replacement was in order: the gear should have no wiggle, but wiggle it did, about 2 inches worth. The chain was indeed loose, and the bracket was hitting the garage rafter. After gear replacement, chain adjustment, and bracket relocation, it's working fine. The free remote was an added bonus!

I expected that the opener needed to be replaced due to its age. Andre cut the tune up charge in half, so that helped with the price. I appreciated that some one was available so quickly, and arrived towards the beginning of the expected window instead of towards the end. Andre had a new opener and parts on hand and was able to get started right away on the replacement. I believe that I sent my first inquiry around 7 am and we were done by about 10:30 am. I reviewed the prices online for the model I bought, and I feel that the price is fair considering that it included labor. Andre was also very friendly and professional. He even offered an outside keypad for free.

Rapid response, showed up, analyzed problems, fixed them, suggested additional preventative measure, gave advice. I paid $260 total. Door works well now & much quieter. Technician was very professional and friendly. All around good deal. I'll call them for future annual maintenance.

It went very well. The rep called me within 30 minutes of my initial request for service. He was able to come out same day! I ended up needing a whole new motor, so it ended up being more than I expected to spend, but 1A's rep was incredibly professional and helpful the whole time. It was an overall pleasure to work with Vince & highly recommend 1A's services to anyone in need of any garage door repairs or installation.

Had Angie's list deal for garage door tuneup and wanted to investigate a noise. We could not reproduce the noise (of course, the noise is back again). Because they felt that the garage door was in good shape and not in need of a tune-up, they gave me the option of cancelling and getting a refund. I really appreciated their honesty, and would use them again.

Great, minor adjustments needed on the rails. If you're looking for a "go to" garage door company, these are the guys to call.

Repair was done in an hour. Door and motor is now very quiet. The noise is hardly noticeable. Also the repair person said that I did not need the bottom replaced.

Excellent. Got a coupon from Angie's list for new garage door motor. Within 15 minutes of purchasing on line, got a call from Vince from 1A Advanced Garage Doors to schedule a time. Within 90 minutes I had a new garage door motor and both doors reprogrammed as well as minor repair to door that got the new motor. I have used them before and recommended them to family and they are consistently very prompt and very professional. I highly recommend them.

Terrific! I received a response from the company the same day that I purchased the deal. One of his workers was going to be in my area the next business day, so we were able to quickly schedule an appointment. The worker was on time and professional. I just moved into this house, and although the garage door and opener were working fine, it was pretty loud and I suspected had not been maintained. After the servicing, my garage door opens quieter, and its good to know that everything is operating as it should. I would definitely hire this company for any future maintenance, repairs or replacement.

Tech could not install remote keypad because he said current unit would not accept it. That was too bad because that is why I responded to the Angie's List offer. He did say that AL would refund my $89, which they did, and he would charge me a separate $49 for the tune-up. Tune-up was fine and door is much quieter. Tech always had a big sales pitch-new springs, new unit, etc. It was a bit much.

Took advantage of 1A Advanced Garage Doors "Tune up and roller replacement" coupon on Angie's List for 19 yr. old double garage door - had never been professionally serviced and was becoming loud and squeaky; had not completed printing out the voucher when Vince e-mailed acknowledgement and followed up with a phone call to schedule appt for that morning. An hour later, "Big" Andrey was at the front door - personable, knowledgeable, and professional. Reviewed the project and the new replacement nylon rollers, including any previous service issues, etc. (tension springs replaced), examined the overall system, and gave pointers on DIY maintenance. An hour later, "Big" Andrey was done and on his way. Overall very responsive and great service - not the cheapest but chosen based on Yelp reviews, and the BBB and CSLB data. FYI - I never hire a contractor without checking both - Yelp is often the deciding factor. Highly recommend and will be my annual maintenance contractor.
