Description of Work: Vince came within half an hour of calling him. He was very fast and professional in performing my garage door tuneup and replaced all the rollers. The price was very fair and reasonable. I will use his services in the future.

Description of Work: Did the work as advertised. Tried to sell a new door spring for $200 with a short visual inspection. When asked could the spring be adjusted, technician stated that was not included, did not try to adjust up or down force settings on door opener. Overall, technician performed the specific work as advertised, but I felt was looking for an opportunity to upsell once on site.

Thank you for your feedback. Our staff is trained to show our customers everything that can possibly go wrong or something that is already malfunctioning with your garage door. If we come across a garage that has an older spring, we would recommend replacing it for a couple reasons; -once your spring breaks, you are automatically trapped in the garage until a door co. comes out to your rescue -if a spring looks older, there is a great chance it will snap if we try to put even more tension on it(which then we are 100% responsible to replace it for no charge since we were the last ones working on it) -we can can give you a better deal since we do not have to come out on a separate service call. I hope you understand that these are some of the challenges we have to face everyday so we have to make the best judgement. And its not the fact that we can't do it for you, but it is about 50/50 that it will not snap on us. Thank you for understanding.

I am sorry Mr. [Member Name Removed] that we could not service your area. I called you within 20-30 minutes of your purchase and informed you that Angieslist made a miscalculation and listed us out of our service area. I informed you that I would put a note for them to refund you the funds. You had no problem with that and received your refund back. A couple days later we get our very first F for a service we never performed or had anything to do with. Even after calling you and informing you once again that we had nothing to do with it, you still chose to keep your rating. We just hope you can put us in your shoes and realize that these ratings hurt us a lot. And even worse is when we did absolutely nothing to deserve them.

Description of Work: We have had trouble with our garage door opening with the remotes we have in our car. The service man checked the remotes, inspected the main drive for the door and per our request installed a remote box outside we can use if we have any further trouble. It happens so infrequently it was unclear whether or not there is a need to upgrade the garage door motor (which would cost $400+. So, we also asked him to put a new seal on the bottom of the door as it needed replacement--that added $40 to our cost. He also secured the door switch plate which was loose and oiled the system. All in all, everything is working well and we are happy. The Angie's List special cost $89, and we added $40 more for the new seal. Great job and responded the same day I bought the service.

Description of Work: My garage door had not been lubricated in 15 years and was really making noise. I bought a package through Angies list for lubrication and new rollers for $90. Andre arrived punctually and said that my springs were nearing the end of their service life which was about 10,000 cycles. This is about twice a day for about 15 years. On one hand, I don't use my garage door nearly that much but on the other hand I had not once lubricated them. And of course they work until they break and then they do not work and you would be looking at lifting a 150-200lb door. So I decided to replace them. He was here and I had the time (not very long.) They were $235 including replacement. So now I have peace of mind. In the future I will take better care of the doors.

We try to show our customers little things that can possibly be going out in the future and can save them $ with 1 service call. Usually once the spring breaks, you are trapped in the garage until a garage door guy comes to your rescue. So if an average spring lasts around 7-12(depending on the cycle) and your door is past the due date, then it's always better to replace it and sleep well at night...Again your are pretty wise to understand that because not everyone does lol.
