I bought a condo that has very high cathedral ceilings with popcorn all over it. I wanted it all removed before moving in. I called Caliber and spoke with Ken. On appointment day, Ken was running a bit late and he called ahead of time to let me know. When he arrived, he was very prompt, answered my questions and went about measuring the area for my quote. Ken was very good with working with my limited schedule and he even scheduled the work around my time line. Due to the high ceiling, I had asked if his crew could paint the room for me, the additional quote was very accommodating. I had even tried to prep the room for paint and ended up making more of a mess, so I left it up to Ken's crew. Ken and his crew did a wonderful job. Upon payment, I wasn't readily available; Ken was very nice about it and returned to my place on a weekend, at my convenience. Thank you Ken and crew!

If you want a contractor who does what he promises, keeps you informed about timing of the work and completes the job when he says he will, Caliber Drywall is the contractor for you. Ken worked with me primarily via email after a preliminary onsite estimate. (We had drywall damage after a water pipe sprung a leak in a wall.) After the consultation, it was a matter of coming up with a date and, as always, adding a few things. In our case, we had a lot of wallpaper that needed to be removed and walls to be textured. We then decided to have him take the acoustical ceiling (popcorn) off while the room was clear of furniture. His crew showed up as promised, worked very cleanly and at the end of each night tidied up before they went home. I would recommend Ken and Caliber Drywall without hesitation. In fact, we now have a bid for him to replace the fluorescent lights in the kitchen with inset cans.

I had a living room with dark paneling from the 70s, and needed to open up the room. Ken came to my house and answered all my questions demonstrating his experience, knowledge and creativity. We agreed that he would cover the paneling with 1/4 inch drywall and paint the room. What a difference! Amazing! His crew for the different parts of the work arrived on time, were friendly and extremely knowledgeable. I would highly recommend Caliber! Thank you Ken!

Didn't bother to remove outlet plates, nor advise me to remove existing baseboard. Visible line on new/existing drywall transition. Worked very fast.

Caliber was $200 higher than our other estimate, but the professionalism and thoroughness of the Latino crew compensated for the higher price. I told him I hoped he paid them well, because they deserve it-- they are the best. The only thing we didn't like was his refusal to repair minor damage to baseboards ( the lacquer was rubbed out) in a dozen places) that we noticed when the job was done."No, they weren't there before." But the actual job was done well, from start to finish.

Ken Hafker, the owner, came to our house to give us an estimate for Installing, and finishing with a light orange peel and it was to be ready to paint at completion. Holes were to be cut for the recessed lighting. We asked to have the windows wrapped so we would not need any window molding around them. The drywaller worked alone and did a pretty good job with the exception of around the electrical outlets where it was not close enough. When it came time to put the holes in the ceiling, Ken and the drywaller started cutting into the ceiling without either me or my husband present and put a big hole in the wrong place in the new drywall. He proceeded to tell us that we did not have the lighting installed correctly and would have to redo it to make them right. (The lighting went in perfectly in the holes my husband made and he had never done it before) They did now seem to have the knowledge or tools to make the round holes for the lights. Fortunately the finishers were able to cut and patch the mess that was made for the light and it does not show. During the process I asked Ken when they were going to wrap the windows and he said they couldn't do it. When he was there for the estimate, he said it would be no problem. The finishers came and taped and finished the drywall, leaving several sockets filled with drywall and not finishing up to the switches and electrical outlets. They put up the corner tape in all the corners but did not seal them with drywall. We had to caulk all the corners of the room prior to painting as the paint just fell thru the corner tape. My husband had to patch around the electrical outlets and switches as some had 1/2" gaps beyond the switch and outlet plates. They left cracks in the drywall in both entrances into the kitchen and my husband had to fix them and re texture them. We had to caulk all the corners of the room prior to painting as the paint just fell thru the corner tape. This was our first experience having drywall put up in our house and I am certainly glad it is over. If this is an example of his work, I definately would not recommend his company. I unfortunately do not have any other businesses to compare them to. Ken did not come back to check the work when the job was completed and asked that our check be given to one of the workers. Our mistake was giving them the check. Ken, If you have time to go out and give estimates, then you need time to make time to go back and see exactly what your employees have done at the completion on the job and collect the payments yourself.

Ken is a true professional in his craft. I have hired ken on multiple projects.one was a rather large industrial job and once in my own home. On both occasions Ken surpassed my expectation on his commitment to customer service, quality of workmanship and the fact that he makes sure that the areas are clean when he is complete. I will hire ken for my next project.

Had the best experience of any remodel I've done. Ken was prompt, for both the estimate and for the actual work. He was very trustworthy, and did exactly what I wanted. He sectioned off the area that was being worked on so as not to cause a big mess, without me having to ask for it. Work was excellent, and money well spent. Would highly recommend...

Ken was excellent to work with. Gave me an estimate over the phone then came out and confirmed it. Showed up on time and completed the ceiling scrapping and repair in one day. They did such a good job, I hired them to do the same thing on another rental property. They were clean fast on time and on budget.
