DMG Floor Covering

We interviewed several contractors and DMG seemed like their experience and price met our needs and we hired them to do a large portion of our home in wood-grain tile including demo of the old flooring and laying a moisture barrier between the slab and tile. After observing them at work, we felt that some of the people doing the actual worked lacked experience, as they were sloppy. Each morning they arrived, they had to jackhammer up portions of the tile they had laid the day before (wasting quite a bit of tile that we intended to keep in case tiles were damaged throughout the years). They left early each day (around 4) and even left things like razor blades lying around (knowing that we had small children in the home). The job took twice as long as promised to complete. Mid-job my neighbor asked if they could do some work for her as well. Instead of finishing our job out first, they sent one of the workers to her house, which delayed our job even further. Turns out, the tile they laid in her hallway popped up days after installation. They refused to replace it and she was without flooring in her hallway until recently. We hired them to do the baseboards, which turned out pretty good, but when they grouted the tile, there was grout on the baseboards, which they didn't even clean off when they finished the job. Months after the job was done, there were loose tiles. We tried contacting them multiple times with no luck. The tile is now 4 years old and we have TONS of loose tiles and $10,000 down the drain between the cost of tile and labor. We have other tile in the home that has been there for 20 years without one loose tile and we are very disappointed in the work that was done.

Based on previous favorable reviews here on Angie's List, I contacted Dave Gordon of DMG Flooring to secure a free estimate. Dave promptly answered my initial call and was very friendly and professional over the phone. He immediately made an appointment to come to my home and provide an estimate to install laminate flooring in my kitchen. Dave arrived promptly as scheduled and discussed my job in detail and provided me with a very reasonable price via a written estimate. I felt very comfortable with Dave Gordon and DMG Flooring and immediately made the decision to schedule an appointment for the install. I had a supplier in mind for the flooring and Dave suggested I contact another retailer for a price. The price from the supplier that Dave suggested was competitive, and Dave even agreed to pick up the flooring for me at no additional cost. On the install day, Dave and his team showed up promptly and completed the job in the quoted time frame. The other members of the DMG Flooring team are Roy and Chris and all three gentlemen were very friendly, polite and professional. I am very happy with the flooring and the great job that DMG Flooring did on the install. I highly recommend that you consider DMG for any flooring work that you need. SERVICE WAS GOOD, THE FLOOR LOOKS GREAT, BUT THE JOB WAS NOT DONE IN THE TIMEFRAME THAT WAS ORIGINALLY SPECIFIED. THE CREW WAS FRIENDLY AND PROFESSIONAL, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, VERY HONEST. I WOULD LEAVE THEM THE KEY UNDER THE FLOOR MAT AND THEY WOULD JUST WORK FROM 8-4 AND WOULD LEAVE THE KEY IN THE SAME SPOT.

VERY PLEASED WITH THE EXPERT AND QUALITY WORKMANSHIP OF THE CONTRACTOR AND HIS EMPLOYEES. THE CONTRACTOR WAS VERY METICULOUS AND MADE SURE THE JOB CAME OUT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME.
