I waited a year to review this company to see if the quality of the work held up. So far it has.I have mixed feelings about this company.They fixed the leak and replaced my skimmer fine but the valves leaked badly after installation and they reinstalled the pavers near the leak and the skimmer in a very unsightly, amateurish way. They did come out the next day to fix the valve leaks but I did not want them touching my pavers again as I think they lacked the expertise to replace them. Instead, I called the paver company who recently did the work to come out and replace them. I think if I had a concrete deck it would have been ok. Also, you can't beat the price and we needed the lower price after just going through a backyard/pool remodel. I probably wouldn't hire them again but if I was cash strapped I would have to seriously think about it.

The previous owners of our house had done some shoddy repairs to try and sell the house including an incorrect install of a low quality pool pump. The heater was not worth repairing. I shared our inspector's information with Mike who told me what was and wasn't necessary from that report. We had another company that wanted to drain the pool (in a drought) and possibly replaster. While Leakfinders prices are high, they were very reliable with scheduling (there was a hiccup with a van breaking down, but they were communicative, apologetic and quick to find a remedy). Mike answers his phone or calls back right away when we have questions and is very good at explaining issues to new pool owners. And now we can swim in our pool safely!

I wasn't there, my husband was there but I think it wasn't anything bad. They did the job. The price is too high. It was expensive in the area that they gave us in that parameter. They responded pretty fast.

It was fine, it went very well actually. They came out, showed up, find it right away and fixed it. I actually never met the man, he came and my wife actually dealt with him, and she said he walked in, did a couple of task and walked out. He would call if he was running late and then he called and so he is on his way over.

They did a fine job down the week. They offered a reasonable price. They were knowledgeable. They came on time. They found the leak without too much time being spent.

Job was done as scheduled and completed quickly.

He told me that the company would be sending me a report by email with cost the included. But what I like the most on this company service is their honesty. He recommended me to contact my contractor to fix the leak cause it was only three months since we just finish building our pool. I will recommend them to my neighbors, friends and family.

They showed up on time and finished the job all in one day. Pool was clean when finished and the job was well done.

Everytime Leak Finders came out they found something else wrong. Mike Ulibarri was the technician. He had all these contingencies, it was this, it was that, and then when he got in here you had to pay up front. He was very expensive. I just stopped, at one point I was willing to put a cover on my pool. When I took certain things out of the pool it's looking fine right now, I haven't had to do anything. After he did that he was going to check valves, there is a credit left on my account for $40, I just said to hell with it. The quality seemed to be good. When somebody goes on and on it seems to be a way of getting you lost in terminology in what they are talking about, it's a great way to get through the jargon and make the person not know what you are talking about. He was professional, I do have to say he was professional. I never met him. The conversation was like he was talking down to you, he wasn't pleasant. I believe he still has my $40.

The thing that was remarkable about him is that every week he would personally call. He said that will cost $300 to detect the leak. He came out, we couldn't detect the leak and we still have a leak but he didn't charge us anything because he couldn't find the leak. He gave us some tings to try so we are still working with him. But I just find that incredibly professional that he did all the work to determine that we didn't have leaks in certain areas and the fact that he couldn't pinpoint it, he said, "I can't charge you until I figure it out." I thought that was good.

Mike Ulibarri, the principal, was prompt and professional. He was very knowledgeable. Mike was not only able to diagnose our leak problem, but also complete all necessary repairs.

We are very happy with the service and equipment provided by Leakfinders Inc. They came right out after our call gave us a couple of options to repair or replace our pool pump. When we decided to have the pump replaced arrangements were made when the work would be done. Their repairman came right on time started his work and completed the replacement of the pump and did great work also clean everything up. My system for my pool was over 35 yr. old, with the new pump we were able to get a $200 rebate from Edison. After the pump was installed Mike came back the very next day to give us instruction on how to program the system and how it works. The pump is a variable motor and runs on low speed when filtering your water, you think the pump is not running its so quite. I've used this company several times and they always impress. They show up on time and do great work. They never leave a mess behind, and all the technicians are a pleasure to work with.

I started a big renovation project of our custom concrete spa that is really the size of a small pool. It measures roughly 14'x9' and looks like a natural rock formation you'd find in the wilderness. I had drained the spa 8 years ago so it was a mess. After I had gotten things working again and had it filled with water I noticed a lead. Mike came out to diagnose the leak. On the first visit he charged me half his normal rate as he didn't pressure test the lines. He found a lead and plugged it and said that that most likely fixed the problem but if it didn't then he'd come back again for another $200 and do the pressure test. Well, it didn't work the first time but not because he hadn't found the leak. His first patch job didn't hold and had to be redone. In the meantime he pressure checked the lines anyway so I still spent the full amount. In the meantime we were using the spa and didn't like the rough concrete surface. I had been researching ways to finish it and had already talked to some contractors. So far I wasn't crazy about any of their ideas. When Mike was here the second time he had some suggestions. I didn't know he did anything other than leak detection. It turned out that he also did pool remodels and had some great ideas on how to put plaster in our crazy custom concrete spa. We love the new spa as it looks beautiful now and functions great. I still have little things that come up and Leak Finders always responds to my questions and concerns in a timely manor. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again if I were trouble shooting a leak or wanted to consider building a new pool! Thanks you guys!!!

We had a pool leak and had him come out for an estimate. He said the leak was too bad for him to fix but he recommended a company that did that kind of work. His recomendation was great as we used his contact and had our pool leak repaired. We are happy that we finally found someone to fix our pool leak properly. He returned our phone call promptly and showed up on time for the estimate. Even though he could not personally do the job he showed real concern for helping us get the leak fixed.

I like their feedback and the spontaneity of their call back; it was excellent. They were true to their word and they arrived when they said they would. They stuck to their estimate and worked with us very well. I enjoyed the feedback and communications. They kept me abreast of where they were and what time they were going to arrive; they were professional. Their pricing was comparable to other companies I checked.

Our pool level started dropping so we called Leak Finders to check for a possible leak. Located problem and gave us a simple solution for repair. I would not hesitate to call them again

Project 1 took less than an hour. It ended up that we didn't need a new electrical board/part so we only had to pay for the labor to rewire everything; Project 2 took 3 days (1-4 hours each) over two weeks - one to remove concrete, one to pour, one to apply mastic. First two days could have been done consecutively instead of one week apart but owner was out of town and didn't want work done while he was away in case he needed was needed. That was okay with me. The men were professional, on time, and cleaned up the area. I would have liked more evaluation on what caused the lifting and how to prevent it but I'm not sure that is in the scope of their work. The guys did cut back roots that my husband pointed out. I would have liked emailed instructions about what to do/what not to do between days since I wasn't always the one here to see the guys in or out. Overall, I am satisfied. I appreciated that they recognized that we didn't need a new part and saved us money!

He did a great job. He was very professional and really quick. The quote he gave me was to find the leak and when he found them, he actually fixed it and included the price, which was great. I called another company and both were about the same price. I have nothing to compare but he wasn't that expensive. He was here actually early. I actually have some goods for him for some other work.

impressed with quick return of phone call, but would recommend you find someone else if you want service done in a timely fashions. updated: 6/12/12 all of their competitors had no problem accomadating a date within the 2 week time frame I requested. As you can see by their response, they are not vested in customer service. My issues are fixed without any help from them--too bad, I was looking forward to supporting a local Angies list company.

Mike was on time - found the problem & fixed within 1 hrs. Very knowledgable and polite. Excellent service and will use him again.

They did a good job of it. If I were to recommend them I would tell them to certainly include this company in their estimates. I will use them in the future.

Very positive experience. Would absolutely call them again if we had issues with our pool. In fact, we asked this company to provide bids on surfacing the pool and deck and if we decide to move forward we will definitely consider this company.
