Description of Work: I hired Randy to do a few small jobs - one in the bathroom, removing a huge mirror and replacing it with a smaller cabinet. The painting was sloppy, I had to touch up myself, but the cabinet was perfect. the other job was in my pantry and re-hanging the pantry door. The door is fine. He accidentally punched a hole in the drywall, didn't say anything about it, and when I brought it to his attention, said he'd be back to repair it. then he left in a big hurry and I never heard from him again. Also, I accidentally gave him the wrong shade of paint. He behaved as if he didn't see the shade difference until I pointed it out to him. I was there and had the right paint, so he could have said something before he sloppily painted in the pantry. I ended up fixing both pantry problems myself because I didn't want to deal with someone who would treat me so disrespectfully. For the work he did, I paid too much.

The door knob would no longer open the door. The bolting mechanism (the metal piece that extends from the center of the doorknob into the door frame's latch hole to keep the door closed) was frozen in place. Randy sawed off the bolting mechanism, removed the old hardware, and installed the new hardware. He completed the job quickly and efficiently. Over the years, no matter what the job or problem we have had for him, Randy is successful.
Description of Work: Randy Simmons built a beautiful deck for us in January of 2010 made of AZEK. Randy fixed a leaking sky light in December of 2012. He has also repaired fences a number of years ago. Update: April 1, 2013 : Randy replaced a door lock. The door lock was broken. The door would no longer open.
