custom cabinets, furniture repair
+ 0 moreMonths later now it is 2011 and I receive an invoice from them requesting payment. When I called to talk to them about it, I was told that they had done me a favor by doing the the unapproved work and expected payment. I told them I will not pay for work I did not approve to be done. The owner told me that they have the internet and would destroy me and my business and then he hung up the phone ending the discussion. How would I describe The Restoration Co., unprofessional in every way.
Description of Work: I ask for an estimate for a repair to a chair and to be called with the results of the estimate quote. After three weeks having heard nothing back I called them to inquire. They said they forgot and would take care of the estimate right away. I again told them to call me with the estimate so I could decide if I wanted to have the work done or not. I did not hear back from them and assumed they had once again forgotten. Two and a half months after my first call to The Restoration Co. I was informed that the chair had been repaired a month and a half ago. I then called The Restoration Co. to inquire as to why I was not contacted with the estimate and was informed that I owed them for the repair. I informed them that I had not received an estimate and had not authorized the work to be done and therefore should not owe them anything. They said it was their mistake and we left it at that.
