Called Dave who was just leaving another job late in the afternoon. He came right over and replaced the circuit breaker saving us from a night of not being able to use our usual TV viewing and chatting room.
Description of Work: Had a circuit breaker pop from an overload, but it wouldn't reset.

There are a lot of people out there marketing solar right now and using all sorts of marketing gimmicks. However Dave, at Light it Up Solar (electric) was clearly working to get me a very good product and make sure that it best matched my needs, not his. He uses Solar World panels, which are the only ones made in the United States and have the best guarantee that I found anywhere. Surprisingly, they were also cheaper by a small margin but clearly much more technically advanced. They use micro inverters that have two distinct advantages over the single inverter. The other companies will admit that a single inverter will have to be replaced in 8-12 years at the cost of around $1500. The micro invertor lasts as long as the panel, 30 year and only cost $110. If you want to monitor your system on line, the single inverter system only lets you look at the conglomerate and if a panel is not working you don't know which one, which will drag down your entire system. With mico inverters, you can monitor each panel as an individual and also get conglomerate data. So if there is a problem panel, you will know exactly which one it is. So and quot;Light It Upand quot; did a very neat and professional installation. No ugly large inverter on the roof, just clean and sharp looking panels. My neighbor just installed 16 panels from Solar City the week before I installed my 10 panels. I make just 0.1 kWh less than he does in a day and he probably paid 1 1/2 times what I paid for his set up. After the panels were licensed by PGand E Dave spent almost an hour with me going over the monitoring system and answering my final question. I really did a lot of research and got a lot of pressure sales. Not from Dave at and quot;Light it Upand quot;. There I got good customer care and a the best bid out of all the competitors.
Description of Work: They evaluated the most cost effective way for me to go solar on my house. They submitted multiple bids based on my waffling about the number of panels that I wanted to install. They gave my great literature and resource links to help me with my research. When I decided the number of panels I wanted they were installed, all of the paper work was completed and I was off and running.

I contacted him by telephone to set up a time. He arrived on time with the down rod. A few days earlier I had left the i nstallation hand book for the new fan on my door for him to review. My new fan had some special features. He picked up the manual and a few days later he came on time to install it. He was not through when I had to leave. When he completed the job, he left the house as I directed. I called him when could not turn it on and he politely gave me directions. All in all felt he was well qualified for the job, priced it fairly, and was an honorable person.
Description of Work: Disconnect old fan install new one with new down rod. He actually bought the down rod himself rather than have me go out to get it. A very pleasant individual. Very well qualified. He was efficient and gave me follow up advice.

Dave is the guy that owns it. He is very communicative. He run through everything with you and you know exactly what he is going to do. You have a good idea of what it's going to cost. He went over the amount of time that he was going to be there, but still charged me the same. He is a real nice guy and he did a really good job.
Description of Work: I have used Light It Up Electric. They did a whole list of stuff that I needed fixed.
