Description of Work: Replaced defective circuit board in refrigerator that was causing main body of refrigerator to not cool. The serviceman had the part, diagnosed the problem promptly, and it went well.

Description of Work: We have used Ginno's for nearly twenty years, purchasing appliances for 3 different homes and service as required. There has been a steady decline in service quality over the last few years. I feel it is due to the growth of the business and the isolation of the Ginno family members from direct contact with the public. Their general manager, Scott, has on several occasions been rude, demanding and flippant towards my wife and myself. Most recently he called and demanded we pay a $69 service fee he felt was outstanding but that had actually been waived by their accounting staff weeks ago due to their determination that the service call was unnecessary. He also demanded that my wife pay him in advance for the service call scheduled for today, as he " Wasn't running a charity service. " When his own staff advised him we actually did not owe any money he ignored a request for an apology from my wife and told us that taking our business elsewhere would be "just fine" with him. Overall Ginno's still provides a competitively priced line of product and their hands on service people have always been polite and courteous in our home, though chronically understaffed and undertrained, resulting in long waits for service and return trips for correcting errors made on the first service call. But middle management arrogance and lack of access to the owners to address that arrogance has grown intolerable. There are several excellent alternative services in the area to choose from now and we will be utilizing them I will close with a telling anecdote that occurred today. When we arranged for a service call over the phone with a different company my wife mentioned the rude behavior of the general manager today without revealing the name of the man or Ginno's the company. The man on the phone casually said "Must have been Ginno's. Our business has been thriving due to the attitude of their service department." I hope this is helpful to anyone out there looking for a reliable appliance service center. Or, if others have had our negative experience with Ginno's that this will draw them forward to corroborate our report. Small update/post service call: Turns out we will need to buy a new dishwasher. That cost, along with the replacement of double ovens that we had discussed with Ginno's earlier, will result in $6000.00 of work for the the new company we hired today. But apparently Scott he and the Ginno family are "just fine" with that loss of revenue.

Description of Work: Purchased new dishwasher, refrigerator, disposal, washer and dryer. We are going back this month (December 2011) for new oven and cooktop, wine refrigerator, sink and faucet.
