Firstly, I do not have a lot of experience with plumbing services...until now. We needed a gas line installed from a tee we discovered under our house. I use Home Adviser to find services like this (after friend recs) and Earl's Plumbing were the 2nd company that contacted me. the 3rd to come to our house to give a free estimate. I guess it's true what they say that '3rd times a charm'! Our service person, Jason assessed the situation and gave me an estimate that was (NO JOKE) a third the price of the first 2 companies! I had a feeling I was getting hosed on the first two so I'm incredibly pleased that I waited to have Earl's Plumbing estimate. Extra bonus-he was able to install that line right then!!! Who does that? In my experience, no one. If you have a plumbing or gas line need, get Earl's plumbing to come and give you an estimate, you'll be happy you did! Thanks Jason and Earl's Plumbing!

They were a half hour late for the appointment. They said their GPS took them to the wrong location. They could have called as I believe they had my cell phone number, but they did not.

After spending 20 minutes digging, James told me I didn't have a leach field and called in another plumber to check it out. All this time he had a leach field map which I had given him and he said he was POSITIVE there was no leach field even though I had asked him to refer to the leach field map several times. So he ordered a backhoe to come in and do a soil perc test for a new leach field. Red flags started popping up and after all this I hired someone who found the leach line in FIFTEEN minutes. My only conclusion was that James had taken the pipe leading from the tank to the leach field. The other person with him and been compacting soil with the shovel at one point and now I know why. I halted all contact with Earls and paid a real plumber 192.00 to connect my tank to my leach field. After doing research on the Butte County website I find out that no soil perc test is necessary if there has ever been a leach field, which the county confirmed there had. I then find out that Earl's is not a certified leach field installer for the county. I have almost 1000.00 worth of repairs in my backyard because of this. I had 3 giant holes to fill in, sod to replace a sidewalk to replace. In the end Earl's told me I didn't have to pay the invoice. I have a recording of it saved on my hard drive. In the end they need to pay me all the damage they did.

I received a house call within 90 minutes of my call. Greg was very professional and quickly diagnosed the problem. He had all of the parts and prices with him on the truck and gave us a written bid. We even received an Angie's List discount. We were very satisfied and very happy to have a plumber that we can recommend!

Was contacted within minutes of scheduling request. Scheduled an appointment at a convenient time for me. Service providers was prompt, polite and informative. I was very pleased with the service from beginning to end. A couple of side notes- They honored the online coupon which was attached to the Angie's List site. There was also a $12.00 fuel surcharge on the bill. I was a bit surprised that was not disclosed prior to confirming the appointment. Overall, I was very pleased with the service aspect. I will most certainly call them back for future plumbing needs.

They came out three years ago and put in new plumbing. We noticed a leak from under the sink and found that one of the fittings had gone bad and had a leak. The leak ruined the subfloor. They sold us a lifetime guarantee on the work when they installed the plumbing, but they will not honor it. My husband replaced the fitting himself.

They were very professional and knowledgeable. They were very responsive. However, I did not get estimates but they did a good job. I think Earl's would be a little more expensive as I did not get estimates from other companies. They gave me a wholesale price. I would definitely use them in the future but, I would get estimates before I begin work with them.

I had an issue in my home with some bad odors emanating from one of my bathrooms. On Angie's List, I found that Earls was rated top notch, and deservedly so. When I called in the morning, they were already booked up, yet still managed to come by to look at my plumbing problem that very same day. When Jason arrived, he was well groomed and everything you would like to see in a true consummate professional. After speaking with him, I found Jason well experienced in his craft, highly trained, and extremely bright. When examining my entire drainage system by crawling underneath the house, he pinpointed the problem which could be remedied with little cost. I also had some other existing problems and even though it was late in the day, he assured me that he would keep working until everything I needed was done. For example, I had a toilet in need of repair that was very low to the ground. Worst of all, it was created at the peak of the trendy 1970s' fashion--a honey-mustard yellowed color I detested. I asked him what it would cost to replace vs repairing; and, on his tablet, showed me a toilet they carried--a one-piece toilet that would be more sanitary and easier to clean than a two-piece toilet. For about the same price it would cost me to buy and install it myself, Jason would bring it in to install, place in a new supply line and replace the broken shut-off valve. What a value! The entire process was seamless. Before, during, and after the repair process, Jason informed me what he was doing as well as the cost of each potential repair. Before each repair, he asked if I approved the repairs and even showed and explained the parts' functions so there were absolutely no sticker-shock when I needed to pay for the entire service work. I want to thank Earls for Jason's caliber of service. and I very much appreciate his and the company's honesty, as other more avaricious ones could have easily taken advantage of the situation. Unfortunately, there are very few people and companies that have this level of loyalty, dedication and persistence to make it all come together. My family and I wish to extend our thanks and gratitude to Jason. He is a remarkable gentleman.

Arrived when he said he would.... that doesn't often happen in these hills. Cleaned debris from heater and got the hot water to work again. He also put in a new water filter for no extra charge. He was friendly efficient and did a great job.

he said it could not be fixed so he had some fawcets in van that he brought in to see,they were way overpriced but I had to have a fawcet and I picked one that was about $1oo dollars overpriced but I was in a bind and bought it . It is working fine so far.

They did a good job unclogging the drain. But two weeks later we had another clog in the same drain. They came out for free, and unclogged a second time. Two weeks later, another clog. They came out again (Also at NO COST) and unclogged it. They also went under the house and checked for a reason why it continued to clog. He didnt have any answer for the re-occurring issue, but the fact that they came out 2 additional times for free sealed the deal for me.

It was the start of a holiday weekend and I walked outside to a flood in my backyard. Water was gushing up through a large hole underground near the well pump. I had no water to my home or for my livestock and it was heading upwards towards 95 degrees. For four hours I called around trying to find someone who would come help me to no avail. Finally, I called Earl's Plumbing, expecting another voice message, but got an actual human being! He said he could have someone out to my home within half an hour. Travis showed up promptly and got right to work identifying the problem (a broken large-bore PVC pipe underground). He gave me a quote to repair it and had to go get the supplies; which was not easy on this holiday weekend. Travis finished the repairs and we had running water again! He then took the time to answer our questions about another plumbing job we were wanting to have done. We were very happy with how things went.

I described my problem, and said that I didn't know if it was a clogged drain pipe or my septic. They were very nice, and seemed professional, and prompt. They sent a nice, polite, repair man in a couple of hours, who snaked out my cleanout, told me the drain was clear, and then told me my septic tank was full, that was the problem, and they don't handle that. He told me I would have to have my septic tank pumped out. 20 minutes and $118 later I have to find someone who can actually do the job, having wasted the time and money. I mistakenly thought that complete service, maintenance and repair of your septic system meant they could fix my septic if it needed it. Update on 4/10/14: I had another company come up to pump out the septic today. When they lifted the lid, they found that the DRAIN was clogged, they showed me the clog, a tangle of roots, I watched them clear the drain. I watched the water, etc. run out. They told me that my backup was caused by the clog. So Earl's did not even do what they charged me for. I feel like I was taken advantage of: -either the technician did not know how to snake out a drain, or -did not want to do the work it would take to clear the drain, or...? UPDATE 4/22/14 I received a note with an apology and a refund of my charges from Earl's, which was very professional, and based upon this I would definitely try to use them if I had an indoor plumbing problem in the future.

I had a clog in my sewer line, it needed to be snaked out. The cost for that to be done seemed very reasonable to me, it was $145.00 but when the technician ran the snake he ran into something that was too solid to clear with any snake and said it needed dug. and instead of simply measuring the snake to locate the problem he ran a camera that ended up costing me another $300.00 which seemed unnecessary to me when he could of just measured the snake. Considering i told him i was gonna dig the line up myself cause they wanted anther $800.00 to dig. i dont know how many people have money to throw away like that but i sure dont. especially on a simple 25ft measurement. Talk about taking advantage of the working folk. Would not recommend unless you got money to burn...

Very well. The shower drain perfectly and the new faucets work well. Travis first tried to repair my "period" (i.e. 40 year old) faucets; when that didn't work, he replaced them with "modern" ones. He also told me that the local supplier might have more appropriate styles later in the year.

This is the only plumber I use. I don't pay much attention to what they do or how they do it anymore. I have found them to be quite reliable. The only problem I have had with their work has been when they fixed the stoppers in my bathroom sinks. They have never worked properly. I will phone them again to fix this.
