Description of Work: I believe I have used Earl's Plumbing a couple of times. The last time I used them was for a shower faucet repair job of a rental., I scheduled an appointment with them to to meet and work with the tenant and send me the bill as I was going on an extended trip in a few days of that. At the rental, their plumber employee assessed the problem and said there were a couple of options, one being a more temporary low cost fix, about $100 and the other, which was the better fix, and he recommended we should consider doing that, would cost about $125 more, and he would have to return the next day, with the proper faucet and parts. The next day was a Sunday, and we were pleased to hear that there was no extra "Sunday" premium charge. | |Since we were out of the country, we had not called the tenant , and since he did not try to contact us, I presumed the job was done. (returning the next day to replace the faucet). | | About a month later, I contacted tenant and found out that the plumber did not return on Sunday or call to re-schedule or anything. The tenant thought I decided not to spend the money to replace the faucet and just stick with the more temporary fix. | |I had already paid the bill from Earl's for the charges of how it was supposed to be done. I called Earl's and spoke with the Manager (I believe was the owner). Apparently the office received incorrect paper work from the employee and no one was aware that he never returned back to finish the job. | |There were some other similar problems with that employee and he was let go just after coming out to the rental. | |Technically, the work that was done, was done very well, and it solved the immediate shower problem, SO, this review is not a negative one, while, yes, maybe the manager or office could have followed up with the few customers that first employee had done work for just to double check if there were any issues going on, but, I believe all in all, it was one of those unforeseeable kinda of things..... AND, I will definitely compliment them as to how politely and professionally they took care of us and a plumber could be out there within a day, or would speak directly with the tenant to schedule the appointment (which is a really good thing in itself). | |Once again, this is a positive (favorable) review even though there was an issue to work out, which was more of a bad apple employee issue that they took care of on their end. | |I would call this instance, 'an exception to the rule' , kind of issue that happened. I would call them back again as well as recommend Earl's to you. Saying that, please bear in mind, that, in my experiences, when there is an employee of the company you are hiring, who is coming out to for the service call, that this review and recommendation is only as-good-as their employee who comes out to do the work. They made-up no "excuses" for that employee and took full responsibility, told me that he was no longer with their company, and just being straight up and straight forward with us, and then promptly getting the work done as was supposed to have been done. A | |Anyone can have a bad day, and that should not cripple ones' thoughts about some one or a company, especially, when other work they have done for you has been fine. | |THESE ARE REAL PEOPLE AT A PLUMBiNG COMPANY WHO HAVE DEMONSTRATED TO US, THAT THEY WANT TO, and do , do, good work.
