CHEM DRY OF NORTH VALLEY

I had an appointment with this company to have my carpets cleaned. The technician was discourteous, disrespectful, argumentative, defensive and showed a general lack of professionalism. He answered my questions in a haughty and sarcastic tone of voice. The technician, who I believe is the owner of this company, flatly refused to do the work I hired him to do and left my premises. I was very upset by his behavior because I had spent many hours moving furniture & vacuuming in preparation for the appt. The point at which the technician left my premises without starting the job was when I pointed out to him that his wife had failed to inform me on the phone that there would be an additional charge for stretching my carpet. At that time, the technician accused me of disrespecting his wife and stormed out of my house. The technician had a sour attitude from the time he entered my premises, and I would recommend that he not be involved with the public in any manner because he obviously lacks customer service skills.

Complained about price for service and Quality and was told by Owner of franchise this is how we charge . My fault we did not have furniture move Patways are still same price as whole Room. We do not open doors for privacy issues. But noone was Home . Whatever. A lesson well learned. Sorry Customer Wrong Franchise Owner Right. Wow my Business does not Run that way.. .

This very expensive carpet cleaning did not clean the carpet very well at all. There were still stains that the owner said would not come out, but 6 months later, we had another company come and all the stain are now gone. The owner has an unusual personality that is at time unnerving. We ould not use this company again.

I opened the door to two men, apparently one was the owner of Chem Dry and the other was his helper. The helper had a scowl on his face and neither one of them had uniforms on, just street clothes. The only way I really knew it was Chem Dry was the company name on the truck. Originally I had Chem Dry only come over for an estimate. The owner began literally bouncing around my living room like a child, and with a hand held device began measuring the square footage of my living room with out so much as a word to me or answering any of my questions. At the same time the helper began loading equipment into my house before I even got a price. Then, the owner sits on my floor and begins calculating. Now I worked in the construction business for 12 years and I know how to measure a room for footage. So when he arrived at his price, which was only 10 dollars more than what I estimated from my measurements, I started to asks him politely how he arrived at his amount. Before I could even finish my sentence he jumped off the floor with a spin that I?ve only seen in martial arts and came at me so fast that I was frightened. A man that I just met was inches from me and began talking loudly and accusing me of cheating him. He never let me get a word in as I tried to explain that I was only wondering were the extra 10 dollars came from, for all I knew it had to do with the price of soap or labor. I began to laugh nervously and he became more irate asking me why I was laughing at him. My motherly instinct kicked in, my baby was in the next room I had to get her away from the owner of Chem Dry. I signed his estimate and ran into the next room with my baby. First, I tried to leave my house by car because the weather was too bad for a baby to be out in the open, but to my horror the Chem Dry truck was blocking my garage trapping me inside. I called for my mother in law, who lives only 4 houses away, to come get my baby. She was there in a minute and just as I was talking with her on weather or not I should call the police, the owner of Chem Dry came out of the living room to tell me he was done. I gave him a check just so he would leave. Four days later I had another carpet company come out and inspect my rugs. They said they were not clean. I was also informed that the method Chem Dry uses is the same as using club soda and a towel to clean a rug. Their method only cleans the top surface, never getting down into the carpet and getting out the dirt. The owner of Chem Dry had to have known this and seeing my old rugs knew I needed a deep down clean. Instead of just telling me he couldn?t do the job properly he bullied me into taking my money. Chem Dry did not look professional or act professional and did NOT get my carpets clean.

They were here when they said they would be. They did a good job in removing the stains in the high traffic area and they were professional and honest. I really thought the price was fair for the work they did.

THEY DO A VERY GOOD JOB AND I ENJOY THEIR WORK. I LIKE IT AND THAT IS WHY I CONTINUE TO USE IT AND HAVE USED IT FOR YEARS. THEY ARE EASIER ON THE CARPETS AND THE CARPET SEEMS TO LAST LONGER.
