Sean misled us in his ability to install glass tile. Glass is expensive and requires the right blade and skill, both of which Sean insisted he had. We trusted him as he had completed a tile job for us previously, though it was traditional tile. We researched glass tiling techniques and knew they were specific to the material, but each time we brought it Sean insisted he knew what he was doing. Why this is important is glass chips easily using ceramic tile blades and cutting. In short, we are left with exactly 23 tiles that the Sean chipped during installation- it looks home made. We called him back once. He was not happy and again misled us by saying all glass does this. We know this to be untrue as we've had two friends install glass backsplashes which turned out near perfect. Sean's repair attempt lasted less than an hour (according to my neighbor who saw him leave after I went back to work) and there is little evidence he did anything. We feel like we paid full retail for handyman quality. Sean's a listed contractor with Tile City in Chico- I've asked them to take him off the list.
