The Right Choice Heating & Air

he didn't have the right tools to take off the cover.

They sent me a guy who was probably did plumbing for ten or fifteen years. Heating and Air conditioning, he did about three years. I had the heating and air conditioner for twenty years, and also bought this unit. The price is really high for an air conditioner. $12,500 if you want it down right. $4000 in the attic. It was $16500 investment. He didn't have what I wanted to hear. The gauges to calibrate anything. Nothing needs calibrating and told him the problem with the thermostat, and since he left he just turned it way down, I am trying to get eighty degrees, and keep it normal temperature. He is trying to get seventy eight, seventy five. Certainly its going to pump a little more colder. He didn't give us a reason why that thermostat isn't working right in the afternoon. He didn't have that answer, or the reason that you could adjust it. Can you adjust that? He had no idea of any adjustments of the thermostat. I didn't ask. I wanted to keep it all the same. I don't know, he didn't had the experience in heating and air, but he had the experience in plumbing. He didn't, and what he wanted for $85, its steep for me, when I just paid $16500, and for the attic ventilation system. I thought he would say $50 or $60. I paid him, and I went to Right Choice to do everything, complimentary. Something to help us out. I didn't ask them, but I would hope they would offer. He wasn't knowledgeable, and didn't know the answer. He wanted a $1000, it takes care of maintenance. Like he just came to the house. That is what he wanted to sell me. I gave him an soda pop, and wanted to see what he wanted to sell me.They sent an really knowledgeable installer. The parts are all knew. I would think they would have followed up, but nothing. Maybe that isn't a lot of money. I wrote a $12,250 check to them. Its a lot of money. I would want them to come out and make the air flows correct.

They did exactly what the proposed to do, did it in a timely manner, and were left the room as clean as they said they would.

Bad overall experience. Try to oversell some random 3 year program many times. Did not come with ladder or prepared for work. Did not do entire tune up.

My field technician Leath was prompt on time and highly professional. The services were conducted swiftly and Leath was very knowledgeable and gave me a honest assessment of my unit. He provided me with excellent options for continued service and gave me estimates on the cost of replacing the unit would be and what the trade offs of continuing service or replacing would be.

Turned down offers to replace unit. Decided on option to replace propane at this time

I couldn't be happier, from their office staff to their technician. Professional and courteous service, 3 hour service window that they kept, and did not try to up sell any additional products or services. The tech even told me that my 10 year old heater looked brand new. Who does that? I'm coming back to them for all my future HAVC needs. These guys are the real deal...

I used an Angie's List offer of $45 to have a 20-point inspection performed. I don't mind that the company was late arriving, but I was surprised by the service ( or lack of) after seeing all the good reviews theRight Choice received on both Angie's List and Yelp. I don't get. Maybe my experience was just a fluke. The Angie's list offer spells out what the tune-up includes. After a 3-5 minute listen of the A/C unit, the technician said "Sounds Good." He did not remove the grill, nor did he clean out the debris ( leaves and spider webs and such) not did he flush it out or clean the condenser. What he did do was inspect my furnace and tell me that the coils there needed to be cleaned for $895 and that my air ducts needed to be cleaned ($255), and I should buy an Air Scrubber for another $1895. He had an expired coupon and explained that their work was top notch. He then suggested that I think about adding recessed lighting to my home and he could do it. I actually liked the guy as a person, but man, he worked so hard to sell, sell, sell. I contacted the company not to report this, but to find out why the tune-up ( which was the reason for coming to my home) was not performed. After being on hold for a while, I was told that someone would call me back. Well-- no one called me back and it's been 3 days of waiting fora phone call. I was willing to let someone come back and make this right, but now, I just do not trust this company. I really don't want them back in my house. To boot, today I paid full price to have my air ducts inspected because the Right Choice scared me into thinking I had all these pollutants in my house. I called a company that was certified by the National Arir Duct Cleaners Association ( NADCA). They inspected and told me that my air ducts did not have "a lot" of pollutants and that there was typical dust to be expected. They also warned me not to clean them because the ducts are made of flexible aluminum and they said that the brush used by most companies would put pinholes in the aluminum flexible ducts and I'd have worst problems because it would make them leak. He went on to say that some companies use this tactic to then try to sell you solid metal ducts. ( which is not bad ) but he said that it was not necessary at the moment to do this. So, I've gotten some good advice but still don't have a tune-up a/c. I'll call another company. This is an honest review and this seems to be a classic snow job.

The insulation and windows have not changed much about the temperature of my house. That was supposed to be improved.

The installation went great; a team was quickly dispatched days after we met with their salesman/tech. Unfortunately, when it came time to setting up an inspection, it went downhill. Our HVAC unit was installed in December 2016 and we have yet to be done with the inspection. The first time the city inspector came over was on a very rainy day in January, he seemed rather grumpy about having to climb on the roof, he gave his laundry list of things to fix then left. The company sent out a different tech to address the fixes, who then informed us that the notes the inspector gave weren't related to their work or that we needed a supervisor on the scene during the next inspection to explain the work. (They also didn't address any of the inspector's notes) The next inspection was scheduled about a month later, but only after several weeks of no updates so we had to reach out. The same tech from the first inspection came over to address the fixes an hour prior to the inspector, but no supervisor. In the process of doing so, one of his tools broke. He informed us that he was going to Home Depot to replace the tool, left his business card and said if the inspector arrived before he came back, to have him call on his cell. Of course, when the inspector arrived, the tech was absent. We relayed the message from the missing tech to the inspector , the inspector wouldn't call the tech because "the City doesn't do inspections by phone". The inspector left a longer list of fix it notes than the first time and left. Three weeks later, the tech from the second visit came over and repeated his statement that the fixes weren't related to their work again. The fact that we are still dealing with this nonsense with the City Inspector and have been met with a different person each time is infuriating. In a nutshell, great install, horrible customer service.

They were excellent at what they did. They were very helpful and informative.

The original work was not very good. However, after I brought the problems to the attention of the owners, all problems were resolved quickly and with no additional cost. So, I am now satisfied with the final quality of the new duct work.

Everything went very well. The workers had to wait several hours for the crane to show up but the installation was very smooth. We had hired this company last year to install a new furnace and so we had confidence that they would do a good job in providing us with a new air conditioner. We would highly recommend them.

It turned out good. It was a good price, but I don't remember it. Two or three people came out to do the work. I would give them an "A". I would say use them.

Over all it is okay, but there is some missing piece's here. My thermostat does not work, but everything else is pretty much okay. Installed new cooling unit, and updated/corrected whatever problems with the duct work. But the thermostat needs to be in a different location. They filed an inspection so we are waiting for that. They corrected a couple problems with the duct work. It would be between a C and a B but there is that serous problem with the thermostat. Overall the material was good. There were about 3 or 4 people. It took a good part of the day. They left it clean. I think its all going to get resolved.

A/C was not cooling efficiently and found out that the A/C unit is too small for the house (which we are renting), so he replaced the intake filter which actually helped quite a bit.

The person who came was extremely high-pressure, using all of the "right now" tactics I can't stand because I recognize them for the tricks that they are. He also, kept pushing, and pushing, staying way beyond his welcome. The only way I could get him to leave was to sign a contract, which of course in California is easily canceled for the exact reason. Very unethical and slippery practices, including making promises you know would never be completed.

Everything went smoothly. They are very clean and professional. Very nice to work with, they answered all my questions about the asbestos issues.

The air duct system was done 1 year previous. Adequate install. My house is getting old and throughout demo some damage happened. they fixed most of it. On the HVAC they installed A rating. But one electrical box and breaker was sold to me but not used. when they inspect it in summer I would think they would install the new 50amp breaker. all in all an A rating.

David helped so much explaining how everything works with my central heating and air. we decided to purchase a UV Light to kill bacteria in the air due to my sons allergies. i am very happy with the installation and company. highly recommend!
