Description of Work: I was having some trouble with my driveway gate so purchased their Big Deal for a service call. John and Aaron showed up and evaluated my very old but still somewhat functioning gate mechanism, made some minor adjustments, and said it's only a matter of time before it will need to be replaced. John was honest with me about what that will eventually entail, and explained my options. He also said to call again if I had any more problems, and that he would do what he could to keep this one functioning, but made no promises. I appreciated his honesty and positive attitude. I've dealt with a couple of other contractors in the past who didn't even make an effort to figure out what was wrong, so when the time comes to replace the gate, I will be calling these guys.

Description of Work: Had a new garage door installed. The older style garage door couldn't handle the weight of our massive wooden door... The weight kept causing the connector to sheer through. After the last time we had to replace it they recommended changing the type of garage door used. | |The installation process had lots of problems but he never gave up. It works well and we are happy. I was impressed by how stubborn he was... I suspected he would give up and call it a day several times but he never did.

Description of Work: My gate was not opening. The error message indicated a bad arm. When the tech came out with the new arm and he installed it, it didn't work. So he replaced the batteries, and it worked. He then re-attached the old arm, which was still working. Saved me $500. Again, the error code was wrong, and not the tech. Friendly, honest and professional!

Description of Work: The electronic gate would roll to a close, remain shut for 2 seconds or so and then re-open. Their tech guy took care of it. He also greased the chain and provided maintenance service while he was here. I couldn't recommend them highly enough. I've used them many times for many years as they are extremely knowledgable and reliable.

Description of Work: They had to rehang my gate that was at the bottom of the driveway. They had to take it off, and they had to make a new fitting and they did a great job. They do come out every year to check on it and do any servicing needed.

 + 0 moreHe was awesome! Determining which wire was faulty was the biggest problem, but he was determined, and finally found it. Once located, he was quick to resolve the problem and tested and re-tested the new wiring to make sure it was working up to his standards. I have used The Gatekeeper on several occasions and am ALWAYS amazed at their responsiveness, punctuality, professionalism and affordability.
Description of Work: The technician had to locate and repair a faulty wire that was preventing my electronic gate entry system from working. The faulty wiring was preventing my telephone land line from working.

 + 0 moreI had nothing but 7 years of grief since I had this electronic gate installed 7 years ago. I've found a lot of companies that were willing to do the work, but not many who do it well. I decided to give it one more try. One of the problems was the camera sensors that the previous company recommended. The Gate Keeper got rid of the old sensors and installed safety loops in my driveway to perform the same function - to keep the gate from closing on my car. They also repaired the wiring and replaced the batteries for my gate operator, and installed two new wireless keypads for service entry to my backyard. Kevin was the rep who came out and gave me a quote and also worked on the repairs. He was courteous and knowledgeable, and I was confident that he could get this right. Finally!
Description of Work: Repaired an electronic gate that never worked properly. Installed new magnetic safety loops in my driveway to replace the camera sensors that were unreliable and way too sensitive! Previously, my gate would never work if the sprinklers went off, if there was too much moisture in the air, if it rained, or if the reflectors attached to the side of my house had a little dirt on them.
