Description of Work: Requested blow-in insulation for a 2,000 Square foot house. Called other companies for estimates, Progress was in the middle of pricing but what sold me on Progressive was their customer service. Gary Stevenson was my sales rep who came out the day after I called. He took his time explaining the process, went thru the entire house inside and outside and patiently answered all our questions. He then promptly emailed me the estimate. The work took about a day and a 1/2. We had most of the work done on the exterior since we are getting the house stuccoed and two rooms were done from the interior since we have some brick on the outside. The workers (we called them the 3 J's)Joe,Jose & Jorge arrived right on time both days. Again they answered all our questions. What impressed me is the honesty. We did not know since we lived here 25 years that some of the walls had insulation in them. They showed us the areas and at the end called the office and got a reduction off of our bill. They cleaned all the areas of the interior and exterior before they left. Also since they finished on a Saturday and the main office was closed, they said I can pay the bill on Monday. This is something I have never come across usually companies want payment before they leave. As you can see I highly recommend this company and Thankful for Angie's List.

Description of Work: They replaced (retrofitted) 13 openings in my home: 3 sliding glass doors plus 10 windows, some of which were large 6' x 6' picture windows, with Marvin Infinity dual glazed, energy efficient windows. Because I live in a fire area, all glass had to be tempered, adding substantially to the cost. | |The salesman, Dwayne, was knowledgeable, attentive, always responded to my emails almost immediately to answer any question I had. The installers were efficient, professional and organized, cleaning up at the end of each day (installation took 4 days, exactly what Dwayne said it would) and leaving the windows sparkling clean at the end of installation. The work is beautiful and my sliders and windows glide open effortlessly. I already notice how much cooler my house is as temps climb outside, making my A/C much more efficient. I'm thrilled with Progressive Insulation and Windows and highly recommend them. I chose Marvin over Anderson because the Anderson Replacement Window sales people do a hard, pushy sell, giving you a price that's good "for today only" and threatening that the price will go up substantially if you don't sign on the dotted line that day. No thanks.

Description of Work: I used this company to update 10 windows In my home. I purchased double pane windows with a nice outer boarder. Gorgeous! Since replacing my windows I have noticed a huge difference in my home overall. Less dust and my home is cooler. Highly recommend Progressive.

Description of Work: My first estimate to replace all the windows in my home (16 total). The salesman shows up on time and goes into a hard pitch on their preferred brand and did not listen to what we wanted from our new window installation. Then, after giving us a quote, he never handed me any paperwork and "lost" our estimate. Botom line, too expensive and did not seem like they had their act together.

Description of Work: On a day off from work I contacted this company to get an estimate to replace two windows. I called around 11 a.m.and was told they were in a meeting and would call me back. When I'd heard nothing by 2:30 p.m. I called back. I was told they would immediately return my call. Again, nothing. I called back around 5 and spoke with somebody who said they'd have an estimator call to set something up the next day. The next day: nothing. I finally received a return call at 2:30 p.m. two days later (by which time I'd left town). I contacted another provider who was prompt, competent and got the job done as requested.

Description of Work: First appointment, I stood Progressive up. Second appointment they cancelled. Third appointment the guy came an hour late. Was very professional and even fixed a window that just needed a minor adjustment for free. Presentation was very professional, and I could have easily gone with Progressive, but despite several broken promises and excuses, was never given an estimate. My guess is that they did not want to take the time to do such a small job (just 2 windows), but wouldn't say that. Instead, they just wasted my time.
