Progressive Insulation & Windows

The workmanship was fine and their installers are good. However, they forgot to order the sliders, which cost us about 8 weeks in time. To be fair, they did provide us with a discount on the doors for the error. In addition, it took them several months to provide us with tax rebate information.

The salesperson was on time for the appointment and did not try to hard sell us. This was our 2nd or 3rd quote for the windows, and it was comparable. He understood that we wanted the new windows to match the existing windows. The subsequent appointment for exact measurements was quick and the actual installation went very well. The installers were close to an hour early, which was very much appreciated. They cleaned up inside really well afterward, but we did find some miscellaneous items outside that should have been thrown away, including tips to the caulking tubes. The only other minor detail was that the screws on one of the window locks was left pretty loose - they were jiggling (we tightened them). The windows look fantastic, and match the existing windows in the house. The installer coordinator was very helpful in securing the day and time for the appointment and following through after the install to ensure inspection was scheduled.

The heat of valley summers finally got to me and I decided to replace my windows in the hopes of keeping the house cooler. I went to Progressive's showroom after seeing it receive so many wonderful reports on Angie's List. I was not disappointed. From the beginning, with the front desk person to sales rep-George, to the installation with Raul and his good 2-person crew, it was a very pleasant experience. Raul was very professional & explained everything to me very carefully. He & his crew were very neat and clean. There were some very minor problems (a missed spot of caulking on one window, blinds replaced backwards, & a screen missing on one window), and Raul came back with a great attitude & quickly remedied the problems. They definitely met & exceeded my expectations and, yes, the house is much cooler!

They arrived on schedule. They did the job in the time they allotted. They did a good job and there was no mess. I felt the price was reasonable. The workers were very professional and there were no problems.

Though the process was a little lengthy with several different people handling each section of the process (sales, measuring and installation), and it took 6 weeks (the amount of time it was initially told to us that it would take) everyone involved was professional, friendly, knowledgeable and the job was done very well and exactly as it was originally bid.

Everything went fine. Rick didn't try to sell me more than I needed. Because of the unusually temperate summer, I can't tell if the Aluma Foil really has made any significant difference. And so, where I'm not sure I can recommend the product (yet), price and install were handled well. Used these guys for my windows, and you're a fool to use another vendor.

The installers were prompt, courteous, professional, and meticulous! An exceptional job from estimation to cleanup.

They showed up for their appointment on time. The sales person was knowledgeable and the workers were fast, neat, and informative. They gave me an estimate and it was right on.

One window in our kids' room was in bad shape; the wood was rotting. We realized this when we were considering installing a window air conditioner and saw that the window was about to fall apart in places. We also had a window in our room that was leaking. They answered all our questions about the job and we got the windows in sooner than expected.

This was the first time I had used this company. It went well. They had a reasonable price and came when they said they would. Three men came out and did it all in one day. There manager came back to follow up on the work. They were very clean and neat.

They were extremely rude and unprofessional. We mentioned that we were interested in ordering 'green' products, at which point he proceeded to talk down to us and dismissed the notion of environmentally friendly products. They had very few doors to look at and select from, which he explained by saying that all of the samples were at a convention. We took the time to give him all of our information so he could call us back for a home visit and estimate, and he never did follow up with us. I would never recommend this company to anyone--I have never been treated this poorly by any company.

The installers were punctual, professional and friendly. In preparation for an 8 hour job they put drop cloths on tabletops and other furniture as well as floors and carpets. Before the job was complete my home security technician arrived earlier than expected to reconnect sensors. Progressive was very cooperative and patient. I really appreciated that as I was anxious to have my alarm system up-and-running.

I thought everything was great. They were on time. Their prices were good. They were punctual and did a good job and had very nice people working for them.

No one from their Anaheim office ever showed up to inspect the attic and give us a proposal. Chuck called and said he had a car accident and would be out the following weekend. He never showed up. I called the office and they said they would have him call and let me know what happened, but I never heard from anyone. We have moved on to a different company.

George came out to our home and spent several hours with us going over the various options. There was no pressure to sign a contract right away unlike one other contractor. We also visited the company's showroom. Ismael and his crew were very prompt and professional. cleaned up very day at the end of the day. Progressive pulled the permit and followed up with the building department and the inspection. All in all, this was a very pleasant experience. I would not hesitate to recommend Progressive. I am very happy with the windows and doors and they have made a big difference heating and cooling my house.

Great! I called to make an appointment for an in-home evaluation. Before they came, I checked out their web site and downloaded information about replacement windows. The sales person was very knowledgeable and professional. It took about 5 weeks for the windows to be made. Installation could not have been smoother. The lead installer Ole introduced himself, was very professional and involved me in the entire process to assure I knew what was being done and why. When they were finished, I did a final walk through and was shown the features of the windows. They cleaned up everything like they were never there! The only issue I have is that I was told by the sales person that I could have a Saturday appointment (because taking off work is very difficult for me) but once the windows were in and it was time to install, I was told that there were no Saturday appointments for several months and waiting that long was not an option.

The job was performed to my complete satisfaction. The estimate was scheduled and the appointment was kept. Mr. dalichau had a thorough presentation and answered all questions w/authority. He had been an installer himself. His estimate was about $2000. less than the nearest competition. A couple days later two installers showed up to take measurements. Though Mr. dalichau needn't have been there, he too showed up to lend friendly supervision. Several weeks later, the installation proceeded. It took two days and went really quickly. All of the windows were in on the first day and the second day was devoted to sealing and finishing. cleanup was conscientiously performed. Mr dalichau followed up to check that everything was ship-shape. It was. Note: I had some misgivings, aesthetically, about replacing older window w/new vinyl ones. It turns out that they integrated pretty well. I went w/tan.

When we were taking bids, every other contractor gave us a price that was only good if we ordered that day. The Progressive rep, John Botton, was the only one who said shop around, we have the best price, and they did. We ordered the windows, than a few days later had to change the order, as we wanted a casement window but couldn't get it in the size we needed. About 4 weeks after the order the windows came in. We scheduled an install for the next week, and everything went off without a hitch. The crew was fast and professional with the work being performed just as described.

Not well. I have a very busy work schedule and do a lot of international travel. We are in the middle of an extensive remodel of the home we just purchased for our family. We had just closed on the house and I was trying to get several contractors lined up to commence work on our home prior to leaving on a business trip. I made a Saturday appt. a week prior. I believe the salesman's name was George or Mike. I called the salesman on the Friday prior to confirm our appt. I very clearly explained to him that keeping our appt. time was critical, as I had an appt. with my general contractor for one hour later. After waiting around on Saturday, he called me 15 minutes after our appt. time to tell me he was still 30 minutes away. We rushed through our meeting. He told me he would have a proposal put together the following Tuesday & I never heard from him again. I'm just too busy to chase contractors that are going to expect me to pay them tens of thousands of dollars.

Sales representative was very helpful in selection of windows and doors. Service was prompt and installed by a crew of two with a foreman named Joe. Took three days to complete installing the french doors due to some necessary construction. Windows were put in, in one day. Very clean installation. Hauled away all old windows and stucco and left premises clean.

George came on time, measured the windows, talked to us about the manufacturers. We got a quote back in about a week. He also gave us honest information on financing options. We ordered the windows and they came in the week we were told they would. We were able to schedule to the work to be performed within a week. The team of workers showed up on time. We were told they would only need a day and that was true. Unfortunately we got a phone call around 3:00 from the lead worker saying that there was a city inspector writing a ticket because we did not have a permit and was asking them to stop work. Fortunately they had already finished and were cleaning up. Progressive proceeded to handle all of dealings and requirements of the city for zero cost. When the city said a window style had to be changed, Progressive did it for free. George also came to the house when the inspector came for his final inspection. All of their work on the permit issue was wonderful and extremely reassuring!

The sales staff was very professional and friendly. The crew members were very modest. When they had a doubt or a question, they would come up to me and ask my point of view or how I wanted it to be solved. The foreman was reassuring, and they were just amazing.

It was a great experience. They were very clean. They picked up after themselves. They put drop cloths all over the furniture. They were very careful around the house. They took about three hours to finish the installation.

Very professional, the windows look great. All representatives from the sales person to the installers were a pleasure to work with. They were true to their word in terms when the windows would be installed. I got quotes from other companies--One company was the most expensive, another company would do the same windows for $4000 as compared to Progressive's $2,200. There was a slight problem where the windows were sliding a bit, but the installer recognized this right away, and said that he would have another technician come out and fix this. The scheduler called within hours to have someone come out to fix. All in all, everything ran very smoothly.

They sold us a soundproof package which was supposed to reduce the noise immensely. I was very disappointed with the result of the windows we had installed because the sound did reduce but not as much as I had expected it to reduce. I called them back and told them that the noise was still very high and all they could tell me was that they didn't give me any guarantee so that it was too bad that the noise was still too high. Then I told them to please take the windows back down because I wasn't happy with the results but they didn't do anything about it and I ended up paying for the whole thing anyways.
