We met with Jim Hammond for over 2 hours to discuss the details of leasing the home. We were very impressed. We signed a contract to have them market and then manage the lease. We were late in having the house ready, so it went on the market right before the holidays. As suggested, we listed at the top of the price point. After a month with no adequate applicants, we lowered the price. After another month of many showings, but no qualified applicants, my dad's health deteriorated and required his care costs to double. So we decided to sell the house instead. Hammond and Hammond did not charge us any more than the initial $300 signing fee for all that work they put in to listing and showing the home. We were extremely impressed with absolutely every contact we had with them. We would rate them higher than the highest marks we can give. Seriously cannot say enough about their professionalism and compassion for our particular situation.

When my parents both entered nursing homes, we prepared their Granada Hills home for lease. However, we needed someone to manage the property, since we live 1200 miles away. After interviewing a number of companies, we chose Hammond and Hammond Inc. That was back in 2007. They have successfully managed the rental of our home for 7 years now, right up to when we sold it, 3 months ago. Clearly having a rental house so far away was not our ideal situation. However, Hand H made it work as well as it possibly could. They advertised, found and screened renters, presented them to us for review, and provided services to maintain the house (at reasonable rates). When renters left, Hammond cleaned up and repaired the house as needed (billing the tenant, when appropriate), and started the rental process all over again. When it was time to sell the house, Hammond provided excellent support to ensure the house was in appropriate shape. In the end, the sale of the house went off without a hitch. Despite the stress of having a rental more than a thousand miles away, Hammond and Hammond served us very well.
