Was glad a person answered and not a machine. He was able to send out a technician promptly. He diagnosed the problem immediately and ordered the part. It arrived on time and they installed it the next day. The tech really seemed to know his stuff and was quite friendly. I will definitely call them again and feel good recommending them to other members.

I initially found American Spa Services via Angie's list, and even though there was no "deal" I called and made the appointment. My Technician, Jamie, could not have been more friendly and focused on solving my issue. He was able to size up the situation quickly. He took the details, called the company that supplied the motor while still with me, and gave me the quote right there. We did a basically 50% deposit for the motor. It took a four day for the motor to arrive, they called we set up the appointment. Jamie was on time, early in fact. I had just washed my floors and, with no prompting from me, took off his shoes before coming inside to work. I thought that was extremely polite. I had taken out the little parts where the water jets are to clean them, and Jessie put them all back for me. After testing and completing the motor replacement, he took care of all the trash (boxes, old motor, etc), and then swept and cleaned the area. When we was through, I told him that I had discovered that American Spa Services had a 5% discount for Angie's List members. I told him that since I only discovered it now, after we had agreed on the price, that I was perfectly willing to accept that it was too late to use the coupon. But Jessie subtracted it from the total right there. I was very glad I didn't need to replace my entire tub, and very glad that there able to take care of something that has been nagging at me for three years. It really was pleasant and easy experience.

I contacted the company to set an appointment to have my hot tub repaired. I scheduled an appointment for the hours of 4pm-6pm. Due to the company being in the valley and my place is near downtown, they told me I would pay a $25 one-time fee for travel, which I thought was reasonable and agreed to. On the day of my appointment, I called to confirm, as I would need to take a few hours off work (theydon't work weekends). Todd told me that he didn't have me scheduled and I had explained that I arranged for the time off. Todd sent a repairman to my house at 1pm and called to ask why I wasn't there. I explained that I would be home for the scheduled time and he said the woman who made tha appointment was new and should not have scheduled the appointment. Todd began to argue with me and repeated to me that, "I thought you took the day off". I reminded him again of the appointment that was set and again Todd told me the woman who set the appointment was new. I reminded him that it is his employee and he is responsible for her. We agreed to reschedule an appointment, but after reflecting on the whole situation, I scrapped the idea and tried to find someone else. I would NOT use this company.

Replaced the heater pilot which was rusted closed and after replacing heater working well again

Pool technician Paul has drained and cleaned our spa on a number of occasions. He arrived on time and set to work, completing the job within two hours. He is always courteous.

Called my regular spa store and they referred me to American Spa. Called them on Saturday afternoon and was told they could not get anyone out till Wednesday AM and the charge for finding the leak would be $195. Miguel arrived on time an informed me of the price again before doing any work. Spent close to 2 hours removing a lot of foam before finding the leak. Not sure how long it had been leaking as you could squeeze water out of the foam. Stated he didn't have the parts but would be back Friday to repair and cost would be around $300. Returned on Friday on time, cut out the old and replace with the new 5 port manifold. Miguel said glue would dry in a 1/2 hour and I could fill spa but recommeded I wait over night. Filled next morning and so far no leaks. Will use again if the need arises. Think price was a little high. They accepted the Angie's 5% coupon.

He did the best he could but there were two jets that he could not replace at all and I was not happy about that. The only thing that is wrong is I bought a certain amount of jets like 8 jets or something and he took off one of the most expensive one and he broke another one but he still charged me the same price, 400 dollars. I called him because he supposed to bring me back the jet that he "accidentally took" but it is still not here. He was supposed to bring it here this week.

American Spa has cleaned our spa a few times and always done a great job. I called and asked if they would come out and evaluate our problem with the heater not staying on after cleaning. They said that the heater pump was most likely the problem and the cost of repair would be $480.00. They said they couldn't be certain until they installed the new heater pump if that was in fact the problem or not. The $65.00 I paid would be applied to the repair, but if I decided not to have them do the repairs, they keep the $65.00. I didn't want to spend $480.00 for a repair they weren't even certain was the solution. They said if it turned out to be something else they would give me some kind of discount on parts. I was unhappy with them keeping the $65.00 even though they couldn't assure the problem would be fixed if they did the job. I asked if they would be willing to put it towards a future spa cleaning but they declined. I haven't used them since. I just had another company come out to clean our spa and I told him about the problem getting the heater to stay on. After he was done cleaning the spa he showed me how to blow water into a few of the jets, then down through one of the filter cartridge areas and the darn thing started without a hitch! I'm so glad I didn't spend that $480.00 and I'm really glad I found the new company!

My spa heater was too old and needed replacement. Work was done in an efficient manner. Price seemed a little high.

These people have an A on Angie's list. NO...no...no. they worked on my spa several times over the October to May period. They never got it right. Finally, they got me a new motor and double charged for parts they already had replaced. I also ordered a spa top from them. It took 4 months to arrive. Now 6 months later the spa leaks. An O-ring was not properly installed (which I have saved for anybody's inspection). I've paid $400 in repairs since I got rid of American Spa Services. Sstay away from these losers. Also had did they get an "A" with Angie's list???????

Had struggled with my filter through 5 assembly attempts, one call to American Spa Services saved the day.

they came out and quickly diagnosed the problem and completed the repair. This is after I had used another person recommended by our former (we are now using American, who are cheaper and reliable) spa cleaner who sent us a guy named Don who took $750 for parts and never came back to do the work. I would highly recommend this company

Miguel was very amiable and professional. The heater itself does the job and is certainly more compact than the Raypak 2100 that I had installed. I also am hoping that because it is sealed, I will have less problems with spiders getting in and clogging the gas flues. The reason that I award the professionalism a "B" grade is that Miguel's truck had just been in an accident and leaked oil in the motor park. However, Todd told me to send an invoice for materials and labor to clean up the tiles, and aside from the inconvenience of me having to deal with this, Todd punctually reimbursed me for this cost. I am very satisfied with the whole process.

i called american spa services when our jacuzzi became unresponsive. todd scheduled the appointment for the same week. miguel arrived early for the appointment and diagnosed the problem in about 10 minutes. because our jacuzzi is an older model, miguel had to order the part and return in 2 days to complete the job. he gave me the price minus the angie's list discount. the price for the part seemed a bit high but there wasn't much of a choice. the on the next visit, miguel arrived on time, he replaced the temp sensor in about 20 mins and the jacuzzi was running again. overall the experience was great. the company and staff were prompt, professional and polite. if need be, i will use them again.

Friendly and very professional. Helped discuss various options (older spa). Service performed was high quality and took much less time than I had thought it would. Would definitely recommend. AAA+++

The technician was great. My only complaint was that one of the parts failed. It took them forever to get the part. It seems like I have to wait a week for them to get the part. Somehow that doesn’t jive. I don’t know what the situation is but it doesn’t seem quite right. These are pretty standard parts. It was the control for the heater. I had called them 1 ½ weeks ago and he is supposed to be here today. The part cost $400. I paid $500 totally, which was a lot more than I wanted to pay. They are good otherwise. They do show up on time. They are friendly. I cannot blame the breakdown of the part on them, but they should not have taken a week to get the part. They answered all my questions, though. I will use them in the future depending on how the part works.They seem fine but you might have to wait a while for parts.

They came out to look at the job before they gave me a quote. I spent around $700 for a couple of jobs that they did. What I liked was that they were on time and prompt. What I didn’t like was that in both the cases, there was something that went wrong. In the chlorinator installation, there was a small leak. So, they had to come back and repair that. In the replacement of the valve, they didn’t do something right and they were going to charge me to replace a much larger unit or a motor. When my pool man came, he said that it was just a part of the valve that needed to be filed off or cut away so that the motor I had on the system could function. When I called the company back, they agreed that was the case and I did that with my regular pool person. It worked fine after that. So, we canceled the expense of having to buy and install a new motor. They installed the valve, but when it wasn’t functioning properly, they said that it was the result of the motor not working. They didn’t come back and replace the motor. Upon further investigation, I just found that wasn’t the case. Their price was good. I would probably not use them again.

They came a few days before and gave me an estimate (they had to order the correct motor). They called a few days later when the parts came in, made an appointment for the next Tuesday for before 10:00 and noon. They arrived at about 10:30, installed the new motor and finished in a little over an hour. I would definetely hire them again. I had also requested that they replace a few missing jets in the hot tub but the parts he brought were the wrong ones. Not really their fault as I hadn't saved the old ones for him to compare. He gave me a couple of parts places to try and they couldn't match up the correct parts either.

I had two other services come in to try to fix the problem (my spa would not maintain water level) before I decided to use Angie's List for first time. Good thing. They defined the most likely cause of the problem, what it would cost, what would happen next if the solution worked (or if there was a more significant problem like leaky pipes). They gave me a written estimate, appointment, kept to both. In fact, I changed over my pool service to them as a result of their good work. Now I get to use my spa again!

They did a very good job and I will continue to use the same in future.

I had an excellent experience with American Spa Services. When I called because one of my pumps wasn't functioning, I got a live person both times, who was courteous and helpful. He set up an appointment quickly, and the repair man, Miguel, showed up exactly on time. He examined my spa, and determined that I needed a new pump. He needed to order the part, and set up a follow-up appointment in a few days to replace it. He came for the second appointment on time, and replaced the pump. He also refilled and cleaned my spa, and and corrected all the pH/chemical balances. The entire experience went smoothly - excellent service!

Our above-ground spa was not functioning properly: the heater was not working and the pump was not circulating the water frequently enough. American Spa Services set up an appointment within the week. The service provider showed up on time and discovered the spa was not working because the wiring had not been done properly upon installation: the 230 volt pump was only receiving 120 volt current. He was able to rewire the unit so the pump was supplied with the correct voltage.
