They did not clean the gutters and after the first rain of the season water was cascading out of the gutters because they were completely full of leaves. It turns out they did not clean the gutter at all. Would not recommend them unless you are willing to check their work afterwards to ensure it was actually done.
Description of Work: I hired them to do miscellaneous roof repairs and clean my gutters.

They forgot to install a flashing which i ended up with a leak in my garage. After 2 months of back and forth calls, emails, and texts, it's clear that this company is only interested in responding to new customers and neglect their existing customers. Own up to your mistake and fix it. Don't tell me you've been busy (in other words, we've got new customers that are more important than you). Dan has yet to call, text, or email back. And he is the owner!

They initally quoted me $7500 to install a composition work. Then I added a gutter and that added $1400. He said all the right things at the time. Now when I look back, he was more like a salesman. The second and third change order I signed. We never signed something that said exactly what the final cost would be but verbally everything seemed alright at that point. He was going to replace some boards and I said I wanted to keep the boards. He added for those couple of boards over $3000.00 When I confronted him on it he listed a whole bunch of boards that weren't even listed. I took pictures and even went around the house with another contractor and we could not find where that amount of boards, plywood, or drywall was used. So these reasonable amount for the original and the first 2 change orders changed by over $3000 at the end.

We were in the process of buying a house. The inspector from Timberline came on-time and gave us great recommendations for improving the drainage of the roof. Roof was in very good shape already, but he was still able to provide some assistance. We could tell he was very experienced. The report came on time and the price was reasonable.

I am quite satisfied with their work. They completed the job by the time they said they would, and from everything I can tell they did a fine job. The rain gutters seem to work fine (we've had a few very heavy rains since they were installed and everything seems in order). Their price is not cheap but they are competitive with others. Usually they have been responsive, getting back to me quickly when I call or email, although when they get busy (i.e., in rainy winters) it takes them a bit longer to respond. I would use them again. In the category ratings I clicked "NA" for "Punctuality" because I wasn't home when they arrived and did the work, so I don't know exactly when they got there. But they completed the job on the day they said they would.
Description of Work: Timberline Roofing replaced the rain gutters on my home. I also have used them for a couple of spot repairs on my roof, such as repairing the flashing around the base of our chimney, and replacing some broken tiles (my roof is the kind with the curved, terra cotta Spanish-style tiles -- not sure what exactly you call that type of roof).

The guy from Timberline did a good job with the roof inspection, noting areas of damage and concluding the roof needed replacing. He climbed up and poked around for a few minutes and then came down and told me that since there were already 2 layers of roof on the building, the old material would have to come off and be disposed of. This is more expensive than just laying down a roof on top of an existing roof, and he said that this needed to be included in house price negotiations. To this point everything was good and very helpful. However, a few days later I received the roof inspection report and it mentions nothing about the existing 2 roof layers and even has a less expensive option to put a roof on top of the existing roof! I called the inspector and he apologized and said something about pasting over an existing quotation document and that this was an oversight. He promised to rewrite the report, which he did. I had to call the realtors and explain not to use this roof inspection and that a new one would be available soon. Overall, this was a pretty sloppy effort by Timberline for the $85 cost.
