Description of Work: My home heater wasn't working properly. The thermastat wasn't regulating the heating unit. I contacted a large heating company prior to contacting Specialized Heating & Air Conditioning. The service technician claimed that nothing was wrong with heater, even though my heater would would not come on/off automatically. I contacted Kevin Armstrong of Specialized Heating & Air Conditioning the week between Christmas and New Year's. He arrived on the same day I called; he serviced the unit; ordered replacement part(s); and my thermostat/heater is working properly once again.

+ -1 moreI was very impressed with Kevin from the beginning. He first came to provide a quote, but did much more than this. He not only did a very thorough inspection (opened it all up, checked the ducts etc..), he found some major problems. Apart from "typical" shoddy work, he found a big hole in our floor near the intake area! It was shocking to learn that we've been breathing musty air from underneath the house all this time, not only bad for the energy bill, but horrible for allergies. I was very grateful for this. When he came to do the installation, he was on time, covered the carpets, did an excellent job and vacuumed at the end. He and his work mate, Danny, were very friendly and I am very happy with the results. I highly recommend him, not only because of his close attention to detail and quality work, but also because he's a genuine and upfront guy.
Description of Work: Kevin installed an air purification unit to help with allergies, adding it to an existing central heating & A/C system that's in our closet. To install the unit, the current system had to be lifted, and pipes and ducts moved and extended. He did a great job - but I'm more impressed with the other things he did. He found and corrected shoddy work done by the people who had installed the original system (from before we bought this house), which will save a lot on our energy bill, and improve our air quality. He installed a new thermostat and programmed it, and gave instructions on how to use it.
