I met Steve Hansen and his show yard to get some ideas and begin talking about what I needed for my home. I paid the consultation fee so he could take a lot at my yard and discuss what I wanted and share ideas. This fee counted towards the final estimate. He was available through emails and was quick to respond to my questions. His team showed up on time, were courteous and professional, and did a great job with my landscaping. They left the area clean. There was a follow up a couple of weeks later to see how the plants were doing, and they even replaced a couple of plants that weren't growing well. I'm very pleased with their service and work!

Very nice and responsive but very pricey. The bid was 40 percent higher than any others.

Steven Hansen came out to see my yard for the first time and to come up with a design. He sent the completed detailed design and associated costs to me for review. I decided on the options he provided. They added some Japanese maples, tree roses, other plants and landscape light to my front yard. Additionally, they filled in bares areas with river rock. The actual work took place over a two day period. Steven and his staff are very knowledgable, creative, professional, prompt, and provide excellent customer service. I highly recommend them.

he did replace the sprinkler head, but then just gave me a list of the other sprinkler heads that needed to be traded around, based on full, half, quarter coverage. with the lighting, he didn't even figure out that there was a sensor on the lighting set and so could not even get them to come on, nonetheless fix them. and I'm not exactly sure how much extra we paid for the time it took for him to figure out there was no electricity going thru the lighting. all he needed was to put a black piece of tape over the sensor to see which of the lights were connecting and which weren't. I ended up having to do the job myself after he was gone. But I have to say, he was prompt, very nice, and good at the sprinkler repair. so if that's what you need, then they were fine.

I thought that Steve was excellent and very professional, but I thought his estimate was high.

We are extremely pleased with the work that Hansen Landscape Contractor performed. Our experience was similar to other Angie's list members: the job was done quickly, professionally and with no drama. We were not easy customers and didn't really know what we wanted. We met Steve once at his show yard and he came to our house twice over a period of about 2 years before we decided to proceed with the project. Steve was very patient and professional throughout. Like some other Angie's list members, we found that Steve's quotes were on the high end of the multiple quotes we solicited. However, an analysis of the quotes showed that the main difference was the labor rates. When I discussed this with Steve, he was very forthcoming and indicated that he has many long-term, full-time employees and he insists on paying them a living wage and offering them benefits. We decided we were willing pay a little more to know that the job would be done right and to support a business that treats its employees fairly. That decision was justified when the job was finished in 2 days. The foreman and crew were professional, friendly and easy to communicate with. Even though the job was done after the second day, the team cleaned up the work site after the first day. We wanted a few minor things changed which they did quickly at no additional cost. Six months later we are still very satisfied with the landscaping. We requested deer-resistant plants; after 6 months the deer did eat two of the species that Hanson selected and planted in several locations. Steve did offer to replace these plants although we decided to just try out some different plants on our own. Overall, we are very happy customers, we would definitely use Hansen Landscape Contractor again and highly recommend them to others.

Very professional service. Owner showed up to do initial estimate and went over couple of designs for the front yard, also gave couple of helpful pointers about drainage and sprinkler system installation. The whole project was very well managed, I got regular updates on the progress and the whole thing was done on-time. People showed up on time and did what they supposed to do. Oh and show room is fantastic, if you planing to do a front yard or back yard check it out. Overall very pleasant experience, will recommend for others to use.

They were very professional. They have a show place with samples of stone and little waterfalls. He was very flexible and asked us what our goals and budget were. Based on that he made us a couple of different plans. We made some modifications and he made it fit within our budget. He made it very manageable. It was expensive work and we didn't check with anybody else regarding pricing.

Very quick response to my call for an estimate. Provided great ideas and willingly incorporated our ideas into the design. Work was started when it was scheduled. The crews that came in were courteous, professional and worked with us when I requested minor changes. The area was cleaned up thoroughly at the end of the day every day.

Once I told them I would not pay for an estimate, they were very nice. If I had a $50,000 job, I would not call them - more power to them to get $135 an hour for manual labor, but not from me.

They were very good and I thought the price was a little high but they did well. I am very satisfied with the quality of the work.

Arrived on time and answered all questions. Work beganed and ended in a timely maner, kept me updated as thye work progressed.

Currently we have not had any services completed. However, we are in the design process and we look forward to starting our project. So far Steve has been great with responding to emails and phone calls. He has offered many different options that can fulfill our landscaping needs. I feel very secure that Hansen's Landscaping will do an excellent job once we decide on a final plan.

I broke off one of the automatic sprinkler valves while doing some other work and needed a professional to replace it. I found them on Angie's List and was very happy with the work. They came when they said, fixed the problem in one day. I need some other work done to find a leak and when I have a few extra dollars I will definitely use them again.

Hansen Landscape Contractor has come out to do a consultation and speak with us. When they came out they brought a whole selection of pictures of other jobs that they have done, including pictures of their site. They were perfect. The gentlemen who came out were very nice and easy to understand. They were very quick and all of the pictures were very pleasing to the eyes. They did a very good job. We have been very pleased with the landscaping work. I like that I could call them up today and they would come out to fix anything I had a concern about.

This was almost a dream job. Steve Hansen was terrific. He took the time to understand what I wanted, offered design suggestions and determined how to get around some problems in the layout. Numerous emails were exchanged about dog doors and plants and he patiently addressed all my questions and concerns. The workmen were courteous, showed up on time and cleaned up the worksite quite well. One glitch occured because of the sudden illness of one of the workmen and that was handled very well. I am extremely pleased with my dog run and so are my dogs. I wouldn't hesitate to work with Hansen Landscape again.

The sprinkler system suddenly developed a leak which necessitated turning off the water to the system. The company sent someone out within a day of my call. He was a little later than expected, but called ahead to let me know. It transpired that we had more than one problem - he ran all of the stations and identified all of the system problems and then fixed them. Very polite, very helpful, and very reasonable. Absolutely will use again.

Charges 55.00 as a service call and 85.00 an hour, but will give estimate first if asked. Works quite rapidly and efficiently when discovering what has to be repaired/fixed/replaced and then checks zones twice to make sure it's working. Quite satisfied with his work, Mike was the technician. Would not hesitate to call again.

It went quite well. Mike was very patient in explaining the system and quite efficient in identifying and fixing the problems. I am very comfortable that I will be watering efficiently this year. I will do this "spring tune-up" every year from now on.

The project took about six weeks or so to complete. Concrete went in first and then electrical. The backyard was leveled and the irrigation installed. Boulders were delivered and paths laid out. Plants, trees and sod installed and finally the rock paths finished. Everything went very well. Hansen has been in business for 30 years and it shows. He has everything fine-tuned for the workers and clients. I really appreciated the hard work the guys put in every day they were here. Jack, the foreman, kept me apprised of every detail. The crews cleaned up meticulously at the end of each day. It went beautifully and I am extremely satisfied!!!

Although their work is beautiful, we decided not to hire this business because of the estimate gap.

There were a lot of problems with this job, there was a lack of communication on what I wanted and I at first was excessively billed, although that was taken care of. The job they did was fine, but I will not use them again.

HANSEN LANDSCAPE WAS ALWAYS ON TIME & HARD WORKING. THEY TOOK THE DESIGN & MADE IT WORK WITH WHAT HAD ALREADY BEEN DONE. THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL & HELPFUL.
