+ -1 morePLEASE BE CAREFUL. I had Gutierrez painting company paint my home 6 years ago in August of 2008. I asked them to return to refresh the job with the original colors and do some deck repair. FACT AND DOCUMENTED: They used the same paint from 6 years ago to refresh my paint job. They used the old paint I kept in my garage that I only kept to reproduce the colors. The cans were clearly rusted and old. FACT AND DOCUMENTED: The owner, Jose Gutierrez, leaves for Disneyland and instructed me to go and get the wood, screws and other tools for the repair of the deck. I trusted I would be reimbursed. I was not. He felt that the painting of my small deck railing (WITH the old paint from 6 years ago) should erase the cost of the supplies, which exceeded $700.00. FACT AND DOCUMENTED: I paid him nearly $6000.00 dollars with no reimbursement and the use of OLD PAINT. I did not find out he used the old paint until after I paid him. Yes, I feel stupid. Please be mindful when selecting a contractor of any kind. This ended badly. Protect yourself.

Description of Work: Gutierrez Brothers did INTERIOR painting and acoustic ceiling removal of a bedroom. They were extremely punctual, pleasant, careful and thorough. They completed the ceiling with a nice, smooth finish. Jose Gutierrez,the owner, is very professional and friendly, as are the two workers we had, Fred and Jesus. Their English is fine, and we have no doubt that we'll be hiring them again to remove more popcorn ceilings and paint rooms.

+ 0 moreOur basement project took 500 days to complete. When it was time to paint, I did not use our general contractor, I called Jose Gutierrez because after all that work, I did not want to take any chances. It was absolutely fabulous how they helped me through the choices of picking a color I felt confident with. With the new hardwood floors and stairs they carefully protected them and prepped and primed and painted and cleaned until it was perfect. I was 110% happy with the result.
Description of Work: I have had Gutierrez Painting Company work on various projects from big to small over the last 6 or 7 years. From a recent large basement new construction, to old window sills that have had mismatched windows replaced. Gutierrez Painting Company is an extremely reliable, professional, polite, tidy, respectful, and truely valuable experts in their field company that you can absolutely trust. They exceed my expectations every time and I find myself thinking what can I have them paint next? They really bend over backwards to do the job right that works with our schedule. They certainly add considerable value to our home for a realistic price.

+ -1 moreI thought the price they charged was fair. I think they do excellent work. I think their prices are good for the quality of work they do. The owner has done four different jobs in this house. Their prices are better than most professional painters and the quality of their job is excellent. I would definitely use them again. They just gave me another estimate to paint the exterior of my house. It was expensive and I don’t have the money to do the work now. I will get that job done next year.
Description of Work: I used Gutierrez Painting Co three years ago. I have used them many times. They hand painted an entire wall and a bookshelf that I had installed. They had to sand it, prime it, and put two coats of oil paint. The entire length of the wall had to be painted.
