Arrived punctually; removed the animal remains; advised on how to prevent the problem in the future.

The crew came out to our property at the scheduled time and were very professional and knowledgable. They inspected our property, located the entry point and explained the removal process clearly. They showed up on time when we call them to remove the animals and billed us in a timely manner. We'll definitely use their services again in the future.

Very humane business. Quality vents and custom door (with hinges and latch for access) leading under the house. Would use them again, but hope I don't have to!

Unbeknownst to us, the pigeon had fallen down the pillar and was stuck at the bottom. The technician removed the pigeon and installed flashing to prevent further roosting/nesting. He arrived when promised (2 hour window). Not only did he remove the pigeon, he cleaned up the feathers and excrement! I discovered that when I went out to clean up after he left. I've used Critter Control in the past, for a rat issue as well. Each time, they are timely, professional and informative.

Critter Control was great. They came out quickly after I called and were responsive in picking up the skunks and responding to my telephone questions. They were professional, sympathetic and really easy to work with. They also gave me suggestions about how to deal with the overpowering smell of skunk that had wafted up through the floorboards into the house.

The company was on time, friendly and professional. They did a great job.

Unfortunately living in the hills roof rats are a fairly common problem. I had this issue early 2013 & ended up hiring an exterminator. Then in Sept I started hearing noises in the attic. When I came face to face with a roof rat in my kitchen it was the last straw! I had learned from the prior exterminator how to set traps. I hate killing anything, but within a few weeks those little guys caused some MAJOR damage to my house. I think having lovebirds in my living room was drawing them inside toward a tasty food source. They actually chewed a hole in the corner of my living room ceiling from the attic! They damaged my sofa & carpets, got into my kitchen cupboards, etc. After 2 weeks of failed trapping I threw in the towel. I hired Critter Control, which is a family run business. Dale 1st did a house inspection to determine how they were getting in, & quickly located an entry hole in a hidden space of my eaves. Then he set traps outside that area of the roof. It took about 2 weeks before they were all eliminated, & then he sealed the hole. I was very happy with their job, and it was worth every penny. They are friendly, knowledgeable & professional dealing with all types of critters.

Catching wild animals knowing they will be euthanized is not easy. Critter Control does a good job. My one criticism is that on a couple of days the trapped animals were not picked up until late in the afternoon. Just seemed cruel.

They figured it all out. It was wasp like I thought I had. They did traps with peanut butter and got the parents and 2 siblings the first time around and he did the work. We paid him extra to put wire mesh over our foundation vents and caught the rest of the siblings the next time around and I haven't heard any scratching or seen any excrement since that time. He was very courteous and very helpful. He said the traps were used on site but I can't find the traps. He took them all. That's the only drawback but other than that, everything was fabulous but he said that if we had any more problems, we promptly call them and they would come right out. They sent him within like 2 days so it wasn't a really long wait to get someone out here which I appreciated. He was really good. The price was very decent considering the work that he did. They were very much on time, if not, early. He took care of everything. He gave us options. Responsiveness was pretty good. If they were busy on other stuff, the next day, I definitely have a call from them. They're definitely on the button, if not, early. They're very professional.

The house had rats, and they did some humane deterrents. I've enlisted him to close up the holes, which has taken time to do since the weather has been bad. They're really nice and really knowledgeable. I plan on having them back at least 1 more time. I'd recommend them to anybody.

Critter Control did a great job. They were on time, thorough and knowledgeable. We recently moved into a new house and I found rat debris in the attic. I asked Critter Control to come out and do an inspection but planned to take care of patching holes, etc. myself. Dale was on time and very professional. He checked around the entire foundation of the house and also looked at gaps around the chimney and checked the attic vents for openings. He found 2 entry points that were currently in use and and a number of areas that weren't actively being used but needed to be corrected. I have dealt with a number of other pest control companies in the past at other houses and his inspection was by far the most thorough that I have seen. On the same visit, I also had them come out to take care of a mole that has been tearing up the lawn. Dale set traps near the most recent mole mound and the mole was captured when he came to check the traps the following week. Overall, I was very happy with the work performed. The price isn't cheap, but I think it is fair for the quality of work.

This work held for about 3 months and then the critter (s) came back. I noticed the large piece of concrete had been moved aside and the wire was beginning to be pulled out on one corner. One evening I heard the sound of a critter scratching etc outside by the hole, it was dark and I shone my flashlight around the hole, and saw an enormous skunk trying to move the piece of concreted. He looked at me and the light and left. I called the service provider and he came out in about a week and re-sealed the hole. So far it is holding up.

Critter Control did a great job. They fit me in the same day I contacted them, in the late afternoon. The team, headed by a fellow named Dale, removed a swallows nest that we've had above our front porch for months, and unfortunately it had a dead swallow hanging out of it. They came in the time they said they would, were very quick, very friendly, explained what they were doing, and gave us some advice on preventing swallows from nesting there in the future. The price was exactly what the office had quoted me via email earlier in the day. I would recommend them without hesitation.

I had a great experience with Critter Control - they took care of my rat problem quickly and efficiently. They did a great job of patching the house so that the rats couldn't get back in, and came back regularly to collect the traps when they were full. Totally solved my problem, and the price was very fair!

A few weeks ago our indoor/outdoor cat was attacked by raccoons. After an expensive vet bill, we decided to keep her inside. A week later the raccoons returned to destroy our front lawn and a fee nights later we found about 10 in the back yard fighting for an apple from a neighbors tree. So we contacted Critter Control to have some traps set up. It was explained that set up of the traps and removal of the animal was $300 each. So with that many coons in the yard, i feared a $3000 bill. The service rep said she would be at my house the next morning, so I told my work I would be in late. At 10 am she called to say she would be there at 2, so I had to call work and take the entire day off. She saw what the raccoons had done to the yard and set up 2 traps, one in front and one in back. That first evening we caught one int he back yard. I called before 8 am for pick up, but they did not pick up until about 2 pm. It was horrible watching this poor raccoon (who may have attacked the cat) panicking in the cage. Then 2 nights later we caught another one in the front yard. This raccoon was not picked up until 4 pm. We were really uncomfortable watching these animals be tortured inside the cages waiting for their eminent death. After working with Vector Control with a past skunk problem, I was very disappointed at how long it took for them to make a pickup. Vector control will pick up skunks FREE of charge and they will be there before noon. After the pick up, we asked to have our account closed. I am now working with vector control on trapping and relocating the raccoons for FREE!

I found them on Angie’s List. They came on a Sunday, and that was excellent. We were doing construction and because there was an access to the roof he sealed up that spot right then and there for us, and he did as much as he could on Sunday and he came back and he came back and he did all the work approximately five days later. I don’t know how to rate the price as I didn’t compare them to anyone.

They were very supportive. They were very cooperative. They were very helpful and very nice to work with. They were willing to work with in regards to price.

They filled up some holes, put out some traps, and took care of the problem. We were pleased with their work; they did fine.

I called Critter Control in the morning and explained that I thought I had dead mice under my house since my back patio was swarming with flies around the vents. I asked if it was possible to have the work done that day in the afternoon. The very nice woman on the phone said she would phone her father and one of them would get back to me in an hour or two. Sure enough, I got a call from Jeff who said he would come out after one and would call me later to let me know the exact time. He came out at 2:00, saw the area in question and pointed out that one of my vents had a large hole in it. He went under the house and found a dead skunk and opossum. He didn't have the exact screen size of my vents and, because of a shed, it was impossible to get to the vent completely. However he put up the screen he had which partially closed the hole and advised me that when the shed was replaced, to make sure to put on the proper size vent cover. Both Jeff and his daughter, the woman who answered the phone, were pleasant and professional. She quoted me $250 unless it was a difficult removal in which case it could go up to $350. Jeff charged me $250 which included covering the vent hole as much as possible. I would definitely use them again if I have any more problems.

Removed a dead skunk that was in 2 peices. They also advised that we likely have other animals that got to it and how to seal up our crawl space & yard to prevent further problems.

I recently moved into my home and periodically heard scratching/fluttering noises within the wall around the firebox of my fireplace between approximately 4 and 8 AM. I contacted Critter Control and a representative came to my home on a Sunday. He was very punctual and professional. He completed a home inspection and added value by confirming that my roof and chimney, etc., were in very good shape. He was very knowledgeable about pest control and how to avoid it and offered some money saving tips. He never found an animal, but did identify areas where a small animal or rodent could potentially enter because of the construction of the home. He set three traps and offered options with costs as a follow-up. The cost for travel, inspection and setting rat traps (the most likely problem animal) was $250. It costs $100 more for each trip they need to take to inspect or remove and dispose the traps with animals. If you choose to do the work yourself, there is no additional charge. I opted to inspect the traps myself and call them for pick-up and disposal, if needed. The most pricey option is to have them come and regularly inspect the traps (usually weekly). I was very happy with the service. It is a little expensive, but there is value added to the work they do, especially if you are squeamish (like me), or have a complex problem (i.e., if there HAD been an animal stuck in my chimney). On the other hand - if you are so inclined, and the problem is easy to figure out, you may be able to handle the problem yourself.

Great service - very friendly and professional. Returned to set and clear traps several times. Did an excellent job of plugging holes where rats had been getting in. Very satisfied with service!

Back in October I called the owner of this company to do rat exclusion work. I knew I had a rat problem and Was VERY clear on the phone the service that I needed. I was quoted $300.00 over the phone to perform this service of fixing up the holes the rats were entering from. At no point during our conversation was I told there was any kind of fee to come out, inspection fee, travel fee etc,. Again, just quoted $300.00 to perform the stated above work. I called two other companies prior and neither of these companies charged any kind of an inspection fee when they came out. An inspection of just the crawl space and outside was done and a quote an the amount of $600.00 was written up to close up the holes. I asked him if this was part of the $300.00 he had originally quoted me over the phone & his reponse was "no". I let him know that his price was high and I would be willing to do some of the work myself. He modified his estimate from $600.00 to $400.00. When I asked what the next step was, I was told I owed him $300.00 for the inspection and removing a dead rat (which I never asked him to do or authorized.) My response was "for what"? The break down he told me was $50.00 for the inspection and $250.00 for removing a dead rat. He also stated that he was giving me a break that dead animal removal runs $275.00. When he left I called him to tell him that I had cancelled the check. Both my husband and I told him several times on the phone and with letters that we would be more than happy to pay him his $50.00 inspection fee but not for the removal of the dead rat. He said he would charge us $200.00 instead of $300.00. Needless to say we did not pay the $200.00 and he sent us to collections. I also complained to the president of the franchise who did agree that the pricing was high, but did not want to get involved in the dispute. My experience with this company has been a bad experience especially now that we have to deal with the collections agency. Again this is a franchise business and have heard good reviews from the other franchise offices in the area. Their pricing is different and better than Critter Control of Oakland. Do your research and take the time to look up reviews, BBB ratings and licensing requirements with pest control or exclusion work.
