So happy I called. Dale (I could be wrong about his first name) was so incredibly honest and helpful from start to finish. I had attempted to install a new Nest Thermostat and after troubleshooting and customer support failed, I reached out to several Pros that the Nest website provided. I had contacted about 7 other companies through email and phone before reaching Dale. I received some quotes but mostly voicemails, but reached Dale right away. When i gave him a rundown of my issues, he spent time over the phone to try and instruct me on how I could possibly fix it myself and save some money! He didn’t even have to see the issue to know what went wrong, and instead of trying to just get his foot in the door just to charge me, he attempted to help AND save me money! I ended up needing his assistance, but he was incredibly kind and I loved how willing he was to not only fix the problem, but show me what he was doing to prevent/fix the problem in the future. Overall, he was just an incredibly honest and kind man and I would definitely recommend his business.

Overall the job went well. All of the possible problems were discussed beforehand and the job went as planned. The job took about a week and Dale was always on time when he was supposed to be here. The previous owners had moved the condenser unit , so dale moved it back to it's original, legal location. The old ducting was removed from the premises and Dale sealed in the "air intake box" to fix a dust control problem existing in the old unit. Dale was able to configure a solution to an existing problem with the old condensation drainage line. During this job and previous contacts Dale, the owner of DH Mechanical was professional and knowledgeable. When inspection was requested the inspector only gave a window of when he would be here, so Dale waited to ensure he was present when the inspection was conducted. I would highly recommend Dale and DH Mechanical for any heating and air conditioning work . Dale was recommended to me from a long term and trusted friend.

Sweeping outside one day, I was realized that we had a giant pile of fermenting leaves composting underneath our air conditioner compressor. And last year I spent an afternoon crouching in our attic, trying to find the cleanable filters. No luck and I was afraid I might get electrocuted. So I called DH Mechanical and scheduled a time with Dale to run through our system and get it cleaned up before summer AC season is upon us. Guess what... He was there on time and he was super polite. He took care to use a drop cloth and wipe his shoes. Once he located the filter he took them outside and took care to hose them down in a place where it would advantageously affect our drought-stricken plants. He pointed out that the filter frames in our intake vents were an non-standard size which is why we've been hearing the filters shift around every time we turn on the air. This was also causing dust and dirt to bypass the special, fancy allergen filters I buy and shoot straight-up into our air vents - BUMMER. Particularly since my husband has respiratory issues and his biggest allergy is dust mites. Dah - and I subsequently spend lots of time and money trying to limit the amount of dust in our home which is now in our vents. We've had several different companies come to maintain our system over the years; none of them have ever mentioned that our frames are the wrong size. It's a relatively easy fix and it would have been nice if this issue was identified years ago. However I'm glad Dale figured it out. He also cleaned out our air compressor which was full of leaves, dirt and grime. It was a mess but he persisted until the job was done right. Dale is very knowledgeable and competent. He has extensive experience and gives honest, non-salesy advice. His demeanor is considerate and personable. I'm glad we found him.
