I waited to rate until after our first good rain storm. The new door installation is fantastic! We no longer have water leaking into our garage. The new installation is superior to what was originally installed. Robert was a dream to work with and I highly recommend him.

Robert is amazing. He genuinely has my best interest in mind, and his ideas are always on point. Where my grandiose plans would waste money, Robert will do it better and save me money. His attention to detail and his cleanliness is always top notch. He is the only contractor I feel comfortable using and definitely the only one I would allowed to do work in my elderly mother‘s home. Robert is a contractor with an high degree of integrity and professionalism and his work is spectacular.

Robert remodeled my bathroom and did a custom shower install. He is extremely professional, has great suggestions, walked us through the entire process, and answered all our questions. We will definitely be hiring him in the future for more work.

We contacted Robert Calvo to give us a quote and I was pleasantly surprised that his quote was very reasonable. Overall, he did fantastic work. He was on time in the mornings and he worked full days diligently. He completed the project in roughly the time that he originally estimated (there were some supplier delays that weren’t his fault). He even went out of his way to work around our schedule when he came back to the job a couple months later to install the last pieces that were significantly delayed, and he didn’t even think to charge us extra for it. He provided constructive feedback throughout the design and construction process so we could make the most educated decisions about how to design the layout, what materials to use, and more. He welcomed our questions throughout the process and was eager to accommodate some of our pickier requests without asking for change orders. He was very communicative and always made sure we were happy with the way things were looking as it came along. While he was working in our home, he was also very courteous and did everything I’d expect to make sure the dust and mess never migrated to other parts of the house. He made sure to cause as little interruption to our already interrupted lives as he could. Overall, we could not be happier with our experience and with how the kitchen turned out in the end. I would highly recommend Robert as a general contractor for any home remodel.

Robert and his assistant Josh were both fantastic. Our bathroom desperately needed updates and repairs and Robert did a spectacular job with the whole project. He gave us great recommendations on where to shop for the flooring, shower door and shower stall. Robert has a great eye for details and he cares about the quality of the finished product. They were punctual and reliable and very easy to work with. Robert gave us the best price quote for the work we wanted done and his craftsmanship was top notch. We will definitely be going back to him when we remodel our 2nd bathroom!

Robert was able to come out the day after i called him to do an estimate for the repair job and then did the repair job the next day. Great service! He gave a very fair estimate for the job, was punctual and did the job in the time estimated. Our kitchen ceiling looks great again and Robert was very good about cleaning up after himself when his work was finished. I would very much recommend him to my friends and neighbors.

Robert did a great job. He was professional, reliable,punctual, and his prices are fair and reasonable. We had a drip from the faucet and Robert came out on a Sunday to fix it. We are going to have Robert re-model our other bathroom in a couple months. I highly recommend Robert.

I did a lot of research on my quest for a reputable contractor. I found Robert's top rated company on Angie's List. I read through every review for Robert then cross referenced these findings with both Yelp and Google - the outcome was very consistent. Customers gave Robert top marks on both sites. We wanted a few kitchen upgrades, so we contacted Robert for a quote. When Robert arrived it was a bit surreal, I felt like I was meeting a celebrity because the online company scores and reviews are impeccable! Robert arrived on time and was courteous, he explained the work required for our project in advance and provided a timely quote in writing as promised. Robert's price was competitive but his exceptional customer service is what truly set him apart from the other "A" rated contractors we contacted. Robert was one of the very few who returned phone calls, responded to emails and follow-up on text messages - hallmarks of a true professional. Robert and Justin arrived on time every day; they worked earnestly and were non-obtrusive. Like other reviewers mentioned, we found Robert to be detail oriented and tidy. They finished on time and cleaned up the entire work zone (they even swept our mess behind our stove before putting it back!). We echo the other reviewers when it comes to Robert's skill. We had a box light converted to canned lighting - his workmanship was so good that no one would be able to tell there used to be a box on our ceiling! Robert you are "The Drywall Whisperer!" This contractor is top notch. One thing worth mentioning (because it can easily be taken for granted), both Robert and Justin were a pleasure to have in our home. They are happy, friendly people who like what they do. They brought such a positive energy with them to work each day. We would absolutely rehire Robert Calvo!

I am a first time a buyer who purchased house with a myriad of DIY fixes. After some advice from family I decided to look for a contractor to make the new home process a little less overwhelming. I went ahead and got a bid from three different individuals. After having each of them in my home it became clear, Robert was in a class all of his own, he calmly listen to what I had to say pointed out a few areas in the home I should watch looked at my concerns and the next day wrote me a very fair bid outlining cost of supplies versus his time. The work took two days and was completed better than I expected. In The area where he opened up the wall I couldn't even tell work at been done and over the next few days as I walked around my home moving in I noticed other small fixes he had done without even telling me. He knew I was a nervous first time homebuyer and he took pride in making sure that each project he did was completed to the highest quality. As I watched him and his team member Josh complete each task I was so thrilled I had not tried to do it all on my own; nothing was as easy as it had looked and each thing they problem solved and figured it out and result was fantastic. If you want someone who has fair prices, you don't need to worry about in your home, who has absolutely fantastic finishing work, cares about their job, and is just in general a fantastic person to be around, then you don't need to look any further. Robert (and his assistant Josh) were GREAT! They were meticulous (Robert attributes that to OCD 😀), professional, friendly, pleasant to be around (they even whistled and sang while they worked) and the doors are perfect. I've finally found a great contractor and will absolutely use him for future projects.

The new range and dishwasher look and work great! Robert and Josh worked well together and were professional and personable. As they were installing the dishwasher, Robert asked Josh to go to Home Depot for some parts needed, which he gladly did without complaint. On the fly, I asked Robert how much he would charge to install a new dishwasher air gap and kitchen faucet. He didn't balk at the added time to the job and the price was very fair. I was so glad to get those items installed at the same time! Robert's price for all work was fair and reasonable, and I would recommend him to others!

I contacted Robert after the purchase of my first home. The home was built in 1947, and was in need of some updates and TLC. I contracted him to install a new kitchen, update the shower in the bathroom, replace the living room ceiling, install ceiling fans and light fixtures, and paint the entire house inside and out. Robert is a consummate professional. The work came in on time and within budget. He pointed out a few things that I would have overlooked, and I was grateful he caught and repaired them before they became an issue down the road. His assistant Josh handled the painting duties, and his skills are impeccable. Both of them arrived early in the morning, and were extremely pleasant and professional. Robert takes an extreme amount of pride in his work, as does Josh, and the results were breathtaking. The home has been transformed into the dream home that I have always wanted. You could do no better than to have Robert as your contractor, and I look forward to doing more projects with him in the future.

This is the second project that Robert has done for us and it was accomplished with the high quality of work and attention to detail that Robert gave us on our first project. Robert and his assistant,Josh, arrived on time(even a little early) and finished the project in 2 days. Josh did all the painting and was neat and precise resulting in a very beautiful paint job. He even re-painted the laundry room even though we had not contracted for that, as the painting we had just completed was not done to the level he felt it needed. Robert had not worked with the particular brand of vinyl plank flooring we had chosen (Core Tex) but the installation went with out a hitch and is beautiful. Robert gave us an estimate and stuck to it. I heartily recommend him and his work. He is everything you want a contractor to be; knowledgeable, competent, on time, and has a quiet pride in doing things right the first time. His commitment to the client and the job are quite refreshing. I will gladly use him again and have already recommended him to a friend.

I've used Robert on past projects, so when it was time to redo the kitchen I knew I wanted him to do the work. He provides great service at a fair price and I always end up with an excellent end product. Robert removed the old countertops and backsplashes, both the sink and cooktop sides. That was no easy task because this tile was installed in the early 60's with mortar and chicken wire. Additionally he removed the non-functioning cooktop and wall oven, as well as the old dishwasher and sink. He installed a new plywood and cement board base and installed tile on the counters and backsplash areas. I wanted the countertop tiles placed diagonally and the backsplash tiles placed straight. On the backsplash behind the cooktop Robert also integrated a decorative tile that I had purchased. He installed a "tile-in" cast iron sink and hooked up the new faucet. He even asked me if I'd like him to install a windowsill at the window rather than tile....I said yes, please. I had a lot of people say "TILE! NOBODY DOES TILE ANYMORE" when I told them I was replacing the countertop with tile. Well, if people saw what a beautiful job Robert did on the tile work, more people would want tile. It's absolutely beautiful, warm and inviting. One thing that Robert does that I appreciate is he makes design suggestions along the way. He knows what looks good and will work with you. Robert, as always, you are a joy to work with and you do an outstanding job!!

Robert is a real find. Our partial kitchen remodel was completed skillfully and professionally. He calmly walked us through the inevitable hiccups that occur with a remodel. We couldn't find a range hood to fit the lower portion of the kitchen ceiling. Robert problem solved it for us finding an adaptor kit to solve the problem. He arranged his schedule to be present the day the granite counters were installed. We're grateful he was there and was able to observe and step in when needed. In other areas of the condo that needed some drywall repair, it's impossible to see where the new dry wall and texturing blends with the old. All of the new doors fit perfectly in the old frames, that's a real accomplishment. I will be calling him again for my next project.

Robert worked with and instructed me on making the needed cuts for the crown molding. He came right in and checked what needed to be done and we worked together. He explained everything he was doing because I wanted to learn how to make the cuts myself.

Outstanding work. I originally was going to have the side door frame repaired after 31 years in this house. We are the original owners. Several bids were supplied by Angie's list that were all qualified to do the work. Robert suggested we just buy a new door and frame and he would install it, as it so happened Lowe's had a sale on a steel exterior door at the time. So, rather than repairing, we wound up with a new door, better lighting, due to a larger window, and a quality looking side entrance. A major surprise, his quote was the low bidder. A low price IS NOT our major decision factor. Robert was here here ahead of out appointment. The installation went smoothly. Thank goodness he had suggested new trim for the interior which was very inexpensive. Needless to say his ability to improvise was what you would expect from a seasoned contractor with small but annoying aspects of the original construction and we did not need the services of our alarm company to maintain the security of the door. I was in the construction industry before my retirement. I procured several business cards and will gladly pass on my recommendation. Other work is in the horizon and Robert will be my choice.

Our bathroom turned out great. He visited the house to take a look at the plans, gave a proposal and stuck to it in spite of some unfavorable existing conditions discovered during the demolition phase. He was very easy to work with and was reasonable with pricing of additional scope. He works hard, has a positive attitude, and is very reliable. He was meticulous with the details and came back and fixed the odds and ends that a lot of contractors neglect to take care of.
