Our evaluators are CAPS I, II, certified (Certified Ageing In Place), and as such understand the sensitive nature of dealing with the elderly. Short time lines are common in coordinating between the patients release from hospital to home rehabilitation and RampcoUSA has excelled in this endeavor. The Durable Medical Industry has grown rapidly along with a more informed, proactive and demanding ageing population. When we found out I would be released to come home while still in a wheelchair, and my husband estimated the cost of building a 21 foot ramp with a 90 degree turn himself, we decided to look into renting one. We also looked on Craigslist for used ramps, but none listed would have met the particular requirements for getting into our house. We had received a brochure from this company from the Physical Therapist at the Skilled Nursing Facility. My husband called Rampco on a Friday, they came out and gave him an estimate on Saturday, and installed on Monday. It looks great, is very safe, and since it's on a month-to month rental, we will be able to have it removed when it is no longer needed. While the rental did end up costing more than doing it ourselves, the estimated 3 month rental will be less than the used ones on Craigslist, and as a special bonus, my husband didn't have to spend 3-4 days in the rain building it himself. Worth every penny!
Description of Work: I needed a temporary wheelchair ramp in order to come home from a Skilled Nursing Facility after an accident.
