Brent came out with his crew and fixed our sprinklers in the front and backyard. He replaced 3 sprinklers and adjusted others so the water would not hit the fence or house. He repaired drip systems in the front yard and adjusted the timing on the automatic sprinkler system so all zones would run for adequate time. Brent communicates very well and is transparent in his pricing. My family now uses him for all their sprinkler jobs due to his great attitude and fair pricing. Brent is quite a salesman. He told me it was easier to just replace the existing system and would cost about the same. He just about talked me into the Netafim system but it wouldn't work for my garden. His original bid was pretty reasonable, about $2500.00. He told me it'd be easier and cost about the same to just replace the exist system, I added $1,500.00 worth of things to the original bid, and he talked me into some other stuff. He'd be nice while selling, but was often extremely rude, and while he did a good job on the valves, other stuff he ignored what I wanted and the new system is so bad I'd say he's incompetent. If you have a simple low-maintenance yard consisting mostly of shrubs that can be watered with netafim pipe, he'd be OK, but don't have him plant any plants or do a more complicated drip system. I've had to replant everything he planted because he blatantly ignored my direction to cut through circling roots and set the plant's base a little above the surrounding soil, which any landscaper should know anyway. He did give me estimates for each extra, and no one item seemed way out of line (though in retrospect I realize they were). The final bill was $8,870, Since I have to re-do much of the drip system and have had to replant all the plants, for my money, over and above what I had, I got 3 new sprinkler valves, a new controller that I didn't really need, an extra hose bibb, and an old sprinkler head replaced, and 1/2 inch tubing w/o any emitters for potting plants. I'm not sure how this happened - that's why I said he's a great salesman. It's like I went into a fugue state, and went very passive. The latter could have been because his rudeness was aggressive and kind of scary. I'm not real comfortable about giving him a negative review. I wish I'd never hired him and I never want to see him again.

They showed up on time. They called that day to tell me that they were going to come over. They were very courteous. They cleaned up when they were done. They took out a bush and it didn't look the same.

First time repair service was needed, it was for noisy valves. The new valves were so noisy that sprinklers could not be run until everyone in the house was awake, otherwise the "singing" valves woke everyone up. Valve repair was done quickly and politely. The second repair call was for damaged (bare) wires leading to the valves (we accidentally ran over the long wire with a lawn mower). He was dismissive, wrapped the exposed wires in tape and left without telling me what had been done, or whether the work was complete. Because bare copper wire was still visible, I called him. He was defensive and rude. I hired another service to get the wire repaired. The other company cut the wire below the damage and reattached to the valves using wire nuts, rather than the tape originally used. There were 8 more valves which had been installed with tape-wrapped wires; I had those wires re-attached using wire nuts, since tape traps moisture and can lead to corrosion of the wire.

I thought that they were great and they worked really fast to get us water again. It was very annoying not to have water and they understood completely so they got right to work. There prices were reasonable for such a big job.

We are seniors and for a lot of years we got ripped off. We appreciate quality and trustworthy companies like Older Home Specialists. They are coming back to do more work really soon. I highly recommend them.

Came when he said he would and explained everything needed in detail. Was true to his initial estimate. Very personable and polite person.

Brent was a pleasure to work with. He was prompt, attentive, and very courteous.

He is real good about returning phone calls. He stands by his work. If there are any issues he addresses them right away. His service is pretty good.

Brent and his crew were on time, very responsive and helpful with suggestions that worked out well. We would definitely have OHS do work on our house and yard again.
